중년기 남녀의 삶의 질에 관한연구I (The Quality of Life Among Middle-aged Men and Women)

  • This study was designed to investigate the quality of life among middle-aged men and women in Seoul. The primary purposes were to describe perceived life quality of the middle-aged and to examine the relationship among the selected variables. The data for this study were collected utilizing multistage area random sampling method 524 respondents were analyzed using SPSS PC+ statistical package. The major findings are as follows: 1. The level of life quality perceived by middle-aged was 4.7 out of 7 and relatively normally distributed. 2. The quality of life of middle-aged were differed by occupation family income amount of saving home ownership religion and residence. 3. The correlates of life quality were family life satisfaction job satisfaction financial satisfaction health satisfaction leisure satisfaction and stress. 4. Among the variables family life satisfaction was the strongest predictor variable. Thirty six percent of the total variances were explained by family life atisfaction job satisfaction stress health satisfaction and financial satisfaction.

Effects of Forest Therapy on Psychological Improvement in Middle-aged Women in Korea

  • Objectives: Women experience more stress in middle age than in other periods of their lives. Therefore, health management programs that enable middle-aged women to cope with and manage stress are needed. This study investigated the psychological effects of a meditation-focused forest therapy program among 53 middle-aged women living in urban areas in Korea. Methods: Participants were divided into 2 groups: one group underwent the program for 3 days in a forest, followed by 3 days in an urban environment, and the other group underwent the program for 3 days in the urban environment, followed by 3 days in the forest. The psychological effects of the forest therapy program were evaluated using the Profile of Mood States-Brief (POMS-B). Differences in mood state before and after the program conducted in the forest (experimental group) and in the urban environment (control group) were evaluated using the paired-samples t-test. Results: The program in the forest significantly reduced tension, depression, anger, fatigue, and confusion among the domains of the POMS-B. The program in the urban area significantly reduced tension, but not depression, anger, fatigue, or confusion. Conclusions: Meditation-focused forest therapy programs are expected to contribute to promoting psychological health and enhancing the quality of life of middle-aged women.

손.팔 마사지가 중년 여성의 심리적 변인에 미치는 효과 (The Psychological Effect of Hand and Arm Massage on Middle-Aged Women)

  • Massage therapy is a traditional, alternative and nonphamacological means of promoting rest and relaxation. However, nursing intervention by massage for middle-aged women is rarely practiced by nurses. The purpose of this research was to examine the effects of the hand and arm massage as an independent nursing intervention tool for middle- aged women. The data used in this research were collected from forty-nine subjects using a nonequivalent control group non- synchronized design. Twenty-four persons for the experimental group and Twenty-five persons for the control group were selected from D city and C city from July 1997 to September 2000. Subjects' ages were between forty and fifty-six years old with mean the age of 45.6. Hand and arm massage developed by Cayce and Reilly was applied to the experimental group for a session of 15 minutes two or three times a week for four weeks. The instruments used for the measurement of the subjects' stress, anxiety, depression and the middle-life crisis were Langners's 22-item Self-rating Depression Scale, and Kim's Middle Life Crisis Scale(1988). These psychological factors were measured before and after the implementation of hand and arm massage. The data were analyzed with mean$\pm$s.d, percent, t-test, and a paired t-test. The results were summarized as follows; 1. Before the treatment, there were no significant differences between the two groups. 2. After the treatment, there were significant differences in the stress and the occurrence of mid life crisis between the two groups. The findings suggest that the use of the life crisis. Therefore, it is recommended that hand and arm massage be used as an independent nursing intervention tool for middle-aged women. For further research, is needed replication of this concept of research with different subjects in a larger population. Also, it is recommended to investigate the effects of massage with aroma therapy for the berefit of decreasing womens' stress level further.

D유형 성격에 따른 중년여성의 건강상태와 건강증진행위 비교 (A Comparison of the Health Status and Health Promoting Behaviors between Type D Personality and Non-Type D Personality in Middle aged Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of type D personality on health status and health promoting behaviors in middle-aged women. Methods: A cross-sectional study design was used with 220 middle aged women. All participants completed 3 measuring tools: a 14-item Type D Personality Scale, a 12-item Short Form Health Survey Questionnaire version 2, and Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile-version II. All were completed in November 2010. Results: The prevalence of type D personality was 34.5%. Type D women had significantly lower physical (p=.020) and mental health status (p<.001) compared with non-type D women. In addition Type D women reported significantly poorer performance of health responsibility (p=.015), physical activity (p=.001), nutrition (p=.027), spiritual growth (p<.001), interpersonal relations (p<.001) and stress management (p<.001) techniques in health behaviors than non-type D women. Conclusion: Type D personality is a vulnerability factor that affects health status and is associated with poor health promoting behaviors in middle aged women. Therefore, screening for Type D personality is important to detect women at risk for health status and quality of life in community settings in Korea.

빛 요법이 중년여성의 스트레스, 우울, 수면의 질 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과: 무작위 대조군 연구 (Effects of Light Therapy on Stress, Depression, Quality of Sleep and Quality of Life in Middle-Aged Women: A Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • 본 연구는 빛 요법이 중년여성의 스트레스, 우울, 수면의 질 및 삶의 질에 미치는 효과를 비교하기 위한 무작위 대조군 연구이다. 본 연구의 대상은 I시 소재 일기관에 근무하는 중년여성 56명이며 자료수집 기간은 대조군은 2019년 8월 26일부터 9월 13일까지 실험군은 9월 16일부터 10월 4일까지 각 3주간 이루어졌다. 중년여성의 주관적 스트레스, 우울, 수면의 질 및 삶의 질은 스트레스 측정도구(NRS), 우울 측정도구(CES-D), 수면 측정도구(VHS), 삶의 질 측정도구(WHOQOL-BREF)로 측정하였으며 객관적 스트레스 지수는 Canopy9 RSA (IEMBIO, Gangwondo, Korea) 장비를 이용하여 측정하였다. 자료 분석은 IBM SPSS Statistics version 25.0을 이용하여 평균과 표준편차, 실수와 백분율, χ2-test, t-test, repeated measures ANOVA, ANCOVA로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 빛 요법을 적용한 실험군은 대조군에 비해 주관적 스트레스(F=6.30, p<.001)가 유의하게 낮았고, 삶의 질 (F=2.80, p=.049)이 유의하게 높았다. 객관적 스트레스 지수, 우울, 수면의 질에는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 빛 요법은 중년여성의 주관적 스트레스, 삶의 질에 부분적으로 효과를 보이고 있어 빛 노출이 제한된 직무환경에서 근무하는 중년여성을 대상으로 한 반복연구가 필요하다고 본다.

  • Purpose: In this study, the effects of laughter therapy on a laughter index, cortisol and immunoglobulin of middle aged women were examined. Methods: A quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pre/post-test design were used. The participants (n=54) included 27 in the experimental group and 27 in the control group. The data were collected from February through March of 2013. The experimental group participated in laughter therapy for 40 minutes per session, five times a week for a period of 2 weeks. The tool was used to measure pre/post-test laughter index, cortisol and immunoglobulin of middle aged women. Results: The results showed that laughter therapy was effective in increasing the laughter index (p<.001), and immunoglobulin IgA (p<.001), IgG (p<.001), and IgM (p=.010). Also, the stress hormone, cortisol of middle aged women decreased but non-significantly (p=.158). Conclusion: The result of the study indicates that laughter therapy may have an influence on nursing intervention and treatment effects to improve the laughter index and immunoglobulin of middle aged women.

건강증진프로그램이 중년기 여성의 건강증진행위와 심혈관계 위험요인에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Health Promotion Programs on Health Promoting Behavior and Cardiovascular Risk Factors of Middle-aged Women)

  • Purpose: This study is aimed at testing the effect of health promotion program on health promoting behavior and cardiovascular risk factors of middle-aged women. Method: The research design was the nonequivalent control group pre-post test. Twelve middle-aged women were the experimental group and ten were the control group. The 8-week health promotion program was given to the experimental group. There were health promotion theories, flexibility and muscle strength exercise, cardiopulmonary endurance exercise, nutrition, stress management, cancer prevention and early detection, management of menopause and wrap-up in health promotion program for middle-aged women. The measurement tool was Health Promoting Behavior developed by researcher using serum cholesterol, obesity rate, systolic blood pressure, and diastolic blood pressure as cardiovascular risk factors. Result: The experimental group showed a higher score of health promoting behavior than the control group. There were no differences on cardiovascular risk factors(cholesterol, obesity rate, diastolic blood pressure) between the experimental and control groups except systolic blood pressure. Conclusion: Conclusively, this health promotion program for middle-aged women was effective in increasing health promotion behaviors, but wasn't effective in decreasing cardiovascular risk factors except the systolic blood pressure. It seems it's necessary to re-study this using more samples and a longer duration of the program, and smaller mortality rate.

중년여성의 피로와 스트레스 저항력 그리고 정서와의 관계 연구 (The Relationship between Fatigue, Stress resistance and Emotion in Korean middle aged women)

  • 본 연구는 발달적 위기에 놓여있는 중년여성의 피로와 스트레스 저항력 그리고 정서와의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 뇌신경 생리학적 지표인 뇌파측정을 이용하여 분석해 보고자 하였다. 2005년 3월부터 2009년 6월까지 한국정신과학연구소에 뇌파측정을 의뢰한 우리나라 중년여성 4402명(35세~65세)의 뇌기능 지수(긴장도, 항스트레스지수, 정서지수)를 시계열 선형분석과 상관분석으로 한 결과 중년여성의 피로, 스트레스 저항력 그리고 정서 사이에는 유의한 관계가 있었다. 또한 정서적 성향을 보면 명랑과 우울 성향에서는 명랑 성향이, 긍정과 부정적 성향에서는 긍정적 성향이, 전체적으로는 명랑하면서 긍정적인 성향이 많은 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 중년여성들의 피로와 스트레스를 감소시켜 삶의 질을 높이는 것이 개인건강은 물론 원만한 가족의 안녕을 유지, 증진하는데 꼭 필요하다고 본다.

산림치유 프로그램이 중년 여성의 스트레스 저감에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Forest Therapy Program on Stress Reduction in Middle-aged Women)

  • 중년여성은 발달주기 상 신체적, 정신적 스트레스를 많이 받는 시기이다. 이러한 스트레스는 만성적인 고통과 질병으로 연결되기 때문에 삶의 질을 저하시키는 원인이 된다. 이에 대한 대안으로 산림치유가 주목받고 있다. 산림치유는 산림의 치유적 요소를 통해 인간의 건강을 향상시키는 것을 말한다. 이에 본 연구는 감각통찰기반 산림치유 프로그램이 중년 여성의 스트레스 저감에 효과가 있는지를 확인하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 위해 산림치유 프로그램에 참가하기를 원하는 중년 여성을 모집하여 실험집단과 통제집단으로 각 20명씩 무작위 배정하여 사전-사후 검사를 실시하였다. 산림치유 프로그램은 감각과 통찰 기반으로 6시간 8회기로 구성되었다. 산림치유 프로그램 장소는 제주 사려니숲에서 진행하였으며, 측정도구는 지각된 스트레스, 여가만족도, 맥파검사를 통한 스트레스 지수를 측정하여 비교하였다. 연구 결과 산림치유 프로그램은 스트레스를 낮추고, 여가만족도를 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다.

중년여성의 우울증상 영향요인: 걷기와 비걷기 비교 (Factors Influencing Depressive Symptoms Among Middle-aged Women: A Comparison of Walking and Nonwalking)

  • 본 연구는 중년여성의 걷기와 비걷기에 따른 우울증상 영향요인을 파악하고자 진행하였다. 2022년 지역사회건강조사에 참여한 40-64세의 여성 56,007명을 대상으로 복합표본 통계분석을 시행하였다. 그 결과, 중년여성의 걷기정도는 48.9%이었고 51.1%는 걷기를 하지 않았다. 비걷기군은 걷기군에 비해 40-49세, 고등학교 이하 졸업, 비취업자, 기초생활수급자가 많았다. 비걷기군은 7시간 이상의 수면, 높은 스트레스 인지, 우울 증상이 걷기군보다 높았으며 유의한 차이가 있었다. 우울증상 영향요인은 걷기군과 비걷기군 모두 7시간 미만의 수면과 높은 스트레스로 확인되었고 그 영향 정도가 걷기군이 비걷기군보다 높아 원인규명을 위한 후속연구가 필요하다. 이상의 결과, 중년여성의 스트레스와 우울 증상은 걷기를 통해 감소시킬 수 있음을 확인하였고 중년여성이 자신에게 적합한 걷기운동을 지속적으로 실천한다면 걷기 비율을 향상시키고 스트레스 완화와 우울 증상 개선에 기여할 것이다.
