  • We define a quarter-symmetric non-metric connection in an almost r-paracontact Riemannian manifold and we consider the submanifolds of an almost r-paracontact Riemannian manifold endowed with a quarter-symmetric non-metric connection. We also obtain the Gauss, Codazzi and Weingarten equations and the curvature tensor for the submanifolds of an almost r-paracontact Riemannian manifold endowed with a quarter-symmetric non-metric connection.

  • In this note, we define a Berger type deformed Sasaki metric as a natural metric on the second tangent bundle of a manifold by means of a biparacomplex structure. First, we obtain the Levi-Civita connection of this metric. Secondly, we get the curvature tensor, sectional curvature, and scalar curvature. Afterwards, we obtain some formulas characterizing the geodesics with respect to the metric on the second tangent bundle. Finally, we present the harmonicity conditions for some maps.

  • In this article we make a local classification of n-dimensional Riemannian manifolds (M, g) with harmonic curvature and less than four Ricci eigenvalues which admit a smooth non constant solution f to the following equation $$(1)\hspace{20}{\nabla}df=f(r-{\frac{R}{n-1}}g)+x{\cdot} r+y(R)g,$$ where ∇ is the Levi-Civita connection of g, r is the Ricci tensor of g, x is a constant and y(R) a function of the scalar curvature R. Indeed, we showed that, in a neighborhood V of each point in some open dense subset of M, either (i) or (ii) below holds; (i) (V, g, f + x) is a static space and isometric to a domain in the Riemannian product of an Einstein manifold N and a static space (W, gW, f + x), where gW is a warped product metric of an interval and an Einstein manifold. (ii) (V, g) is isometric to a domain in the warped product of an interval and an Einstein manifold. For the proof we use eigenvalue analysis based on the Codazzi tensor properties of the Ricci tensor.

  • The aim of the present paper is to study 3-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifold with respect to semi-symmetric metric connection. Firstly, we prove that extended generalized M-projective 𝜙-recurrent 3-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifold with respect to semi-symmetric metric connection is an 𝜂-Einstein manifold with respect to Levi-Civita connection under some certain conditions. Later we study some curvature properties of 3-dimensional trans-Sasakian manifold admitting the above connection.

  • Consider a Riemannian manifold M equipped with a metric g. In this article, we study a notion for statistical manifolds (M, g, ∇), which can have a nonzero torsion, abbreviated to SMT. Then it turns out that the tensor fields ∇g and ${\tilde{\nabla}}g$ obtained from two different SMT-connections are different.

  • Given a Riemannian manifold (M, $\alpha$) with an almost Hermitian structure f and a non-vanishing covariant vector field b, consider the generalized Randers metric $L\;=\;{\alpha}+{\beta}$, where $\beta$ is a special singular Riemannian metric defined by b and f. This metric L is called an (a, b, f)-metric. We compute the inverse and the determinant of the fundamental tensor ($g_{ij}$) of an (a, b, f)-metric. Then we determine the maximal domain D of $TM{\backslash}O$ for an (a, b, f)-manifold where a y-local Finsler structure L is defined. And then we show that any (a, b, f)-manifold is quasi-C-reducible and find a condition under which an (a, b, f)-manifold is C-reducible.
