During the ground operation of Korean army, the voice message is mainly used for exchanging informations related to the surveillance and reconnaissance, command and control, and precision strike. However, in order to the battlefield visualization among fighting powers participating in the ground force operation, automatic situational awareness and variable message format (VMF) for command and control are required. For securing core technologies necessary for the battlefield visualization, message standard and message handler are established through several applied researches. Besides, the VMF for equipping a weapon system is in development. In this paper, a study on the Korean variable message format (KVMF), where interoperability of integrated battle management system (BMS) is guaranteed due to performing joint, ground, and combined operations so that the situation awareness and strike system can be automated in almost real time, is presented. From the modeling and simulation (M&S) results of the message processor, delay time is varied in accordance with the number of nodes in unit platoon network, message length, and generation interval of routine messages. Therefore, it is shown that the system performance can be optimized by establishing proper network protocol for each situation.

TCP is a well-known communication protocol which is widely used for reliable message transmissions. The urgent mechanism of TCP plays a key role to transmit messages with a high priority. If a high priority message occurs at the transmitting node, the urgent mechanism informs the receiving node about the presence of a high priority message prior to its transmission so that the receiving node can be prepared for handling this message in advance. This implies that the existing urgent mechanism of TCP does not guarantee an immediate or faster delivery of the high priority message itself. Therefore, the ability of priority-based transmission is required on TCP not only to ensure reliable transmissions of normal messages but also to offer a differentiated service according to the priority of message. This paper presents a priority-based transmission algorithm over TCP using a priority queue in a multi-threaded environment. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is explored using an experimental setup in which various messages with different priority levels are transmitted.

IEEE Std 1609.2 was defined for the support of communication security functions in the WAVE (Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments) system. IEEE Std 1609.2 defined the message structures of the security services and managements on the vehicular communication by using ASN.1 (Abstract Syntax Notation One). Also, this security message structures shall be encoded using the COER (Canonical Octet Encoding Rules). In this paper, we designed and implemented the IEEE Std 1609.2 message encoder/decoder handling the security messages defined in IEEE Std 1609.2. The designed encoder/decoder consists of three modules as follows : a module generating the message of C language data structures in accord with IEEE Std 1609.2 message structures, a message encoder module, a message decoder module. And the encoder/decoder was implemented on the Linux environment. Also we analyzed the performance by measuring the performance speed of the encoder/decoder implemented.

This paper analyzes transmissiondelays of a message and a packet in a time-varying and packet-based radio link. The paper assumes that thearrivals of messages have a Bernoulli process and the lengths of the messages a exponential distribution. To reflect the feature of the time-varying radio link, we use a two-state Markov model. From the model the mean transmission delay of and the mean queue length of the packet are analyzed in terms of the packet distribution function, the packet transmission service time, and the PER of the radio link. And the mean message transmission delay time and the mean queue length are derived using the performance indices of the packet. Numerical results show that the message arrival rate and the message length have some bounds to keep the transmission of the message steady and to improve the performance indices of the message. It can be known that the PER of the state influences on the performance indices more than the sojourn time of the state.
This paper focuses on message complexity performance analysis of mobile ad hoc network (MANET) address autoconfiguration protocols (AAPs) in reference to link errors generated by mobile wireless nodes. An enhancement was made using a proposed retransmission limit, S, to be computed for error recovery (based on the link error probability), to measure message complexity of AAPs in reference to the link error probability, $P_e$. The control procedures for the retransmission limit have been included for each of the AAPs. Retransmission limit control is critical for efficient energy consumption of MANET nodes operating on limited portable energy. O-notation has been applied to analyze the upper bound of the number of messages generated by a MANET group of nodes. The AAPs investigated in this paper are strong duplicate address detection (DAD), weak DAD with proactive routing protocol (WDP), weak DAD with on-demand routing protocol (WDO), and MANETConf. Each AAP reacts different to link errors, as each AAP has different operational procedures. The required number of broadcasting, unicasting, relaying, and received messages of the nodes participating in a single-node joining procedure is investigated to asymptotically calculate the message complexity of each AAP. Computer simulation was conducted and the results have been analyzed to verify the theoretical message complexity bounds derived. The message complexity of WDP was lowest, closely followed byWDO, based on the simulation results and analysis of the message complexity under nominal situations. The message complexity of MANETConf was higher than WDO, and strong DAD resulted to be most complex among the four AAPs.
The conventional email method based on a recipient mailbox has a structural weakness, which may cause the spam message problem and the extreme waste of recipient mailbox space, and also require an explicit recipient notification scheme. This paper proposes a new email method based on a sender mailbox and evaluates its performance. Under the new email method, a message is stored at sender mailbox instead of recipient one until an intended recipient reads the message, so that the burden of mailbox management such as removing spam message is now shifted to sender side. And also a sender can confirm whether an intended recipient has read his or her message by simply rummaging his or her sender mailbox. The results of Performance evaluation show that 75% of mailbox space and 90% of message traffic are reduced in conditions that the portions of spam message and multicasting message are 90% and 80%, respectively.

As th Internet grew rapidly, the Electronic Commerce that is based on Internet increased. The Electronic Commerce is unsubstantial in the mutual authentication between the parties and a commerce As a solution to this issue, a Web server uses a Client Message technology. The purpose of Client Message is to validate the user and the electronic commercial transaction. Further, it increases efficiency and offers several ability at various purposes. However, the Client Message is transferred and stored as an unencrypted text file, the information can be exposed easily to the network threats, end system threats, and Client Message harvesting threats. In this paper designed by used crypto algorithm a Secure Message as a solution to the issue have proposed above. Further, designed a security service per Network transmitting message to transfer client's user input information to a Web server safety.
This paper presents an approach for scheduling network messages with real-time dynamic algorithms. We present the method that calculates an intermediate relative deadline of the message based on the EDF(Earliest Deadline First) scheduling policy. We adjust the slack of message by using this intermediate relative deadline to allocate a priority of message. The priority of the message can be determined accurately by using the slack that calculates in our approach, which increases the schedulability efficiency of the message. As a result, we reduce the worst-case response time and improve the guarantee ratio of real-time messages. Also, we describe the analysis method to check the schedulability on message sets, and show the efficiency of our approach by comparing the results of the DM(Deadline Monotonic) approach and the existing EDF approach with that of the improved EDF in our approach through the simulation.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the suitability of the chronic regulatory focus and the advertising message type on the evaluation of the beauty product. In addition, feeling right while and individual is reading an advertisement is measured to check the mechanism making the regulatory fit effect. The experimental design was designed with the mixed design of 2(chronic regulatory focus: promotion / prevention, between group) ${\times}$ 2(advertising message type: promotion /prevention, within a group). 100 female university student subjects in their twenties in Seoul and in the metropolitan area were asked to respond to questionnaires in the study. The reliability analysis, T-test, analysis of variance(ANOVA), and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) on the collected data were done with SPSS WIN 12.0. The results of the study are as follows. First, the regulatory fit effect that when the individual chronic regulatory fit corresponds to the advertising message focus each other in the advertising of a new beauty product, the evaluation on the product is more positive could be checked. The promotion focus message of shampoo, the promotion focus group showed more positive response than the prevention focus group and as for the prevention focus message, the prevention focus group showed more positive results than the promotion focus group so that the effect of regulatory fit appeared. Second, when the regulatory fit effect appeared in the evaluation on the new beauty product, the fit effect on the individual chronic regulatory focus and on the advertising message focus also appeared in the measurement of feeling right. Hence, feeling right could be checked by using the mechanism of the regulatory fit effect.
