This study investigates effective ways to help users form a correct mental model of the hierarchical information space (HIS) in small display. The focus is the effect of color cue on understanding the structure and navigating the information space. The concept of color space (CS) corresponds well to the HIS - one color has a unique position in the CS as a piece of information does in HIS. In this study, we empirically examined two types of color cue, namely, categorical and depth cue. Hue was used as a categorical cue and tone was used as a depth cue. In our experiment, we evaluate the effectiveness of the color cues in the mobile internet system. Subjects were asked to perform four searching tasks and four comparison tasks. The results of experiment reveal that the categorical cues significantly improve the user's mental model whereas decrease navigation performances. The depth cues cannot aid in understanding the HIS as well as improve navigation performances. This study concludes with limitations of the study and descriptions of future studies.

Purpose of this study is enhancing usability of online video platform by analyze link-depth and advertisement frequency. In this study, researcher checked market share of video platform which publishing web-drama, and compare their link-depth and advertisement frequency. As a result, access to the latest content has two to three link-depth. So it does not worsen usability. but, if contents doesn't show on main page or search result, it requires more than five to six steps. Image advertisement show up more than twice on every platform. 'Youtube' and 'Naver TV' show up pre-roll video advertisement in video player before offering contents. In this video platform information structure, directory searching needs high link-depth level and advertisement frequency. It will increase user's bounce rate and decrease return visit rate. So researcher suggests prototype using drop-down menu to reduce link-depth and enhance information structure.

Purpose: This study was to develop Web-based multimedia content for Physical Examination and Health Assesment. Method: The multimedia content was developed based on Jung's teaching and learning structure plan model, using the following 5 processes: 1) Analysis Stage, 2) Planning Stage, 3) Storyboard Framing and Production Stage, 4) Program Operation Stage, and 5) Final Evaluation Stage. Results: The web based multimedia content consisted of an intro movie, main page and sub pages. On the main page, there were 6 menu bars that consisted of Announcement center, Information of professors, Lecture guide, Cyber lecture, Q&A, and Data centers, and a site map which introduced 15 week lectures. In the operation of web based multimedia content, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and multimedia technology(Audio and Video) were utilized and the content consisted of text content, interactive content, animation, and audio & video. Consultation with the experts in context, computer engineering, and educational technology was utilized in the development of these processes. Conclusions: Web-based multimedia content is expected to offer individualized and tailored learning opportunities to maximize and facilitate the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, multimedia content should be utilized concurrently with the lecture in the Physical Examination and Health Assesment classes as a vital teaching aid to make up for the weakness of the face-to- face teaching-learning method.

This study explores the CSR activities of Korean fashion corporations. A contents analysis of corporate websites was carried out to investigate the structure and function of their websites and the activity dimensions related to the CSR of Korean fashion corporations. The subjects were the Korean top 100 fashion corporations according to total sales in 2009. The findings throughout the research are as follow. First, a total of 46 corporations created the contents about CSR activities on their websites. A total of 32 of them communicated their CSR activities on the main menu at the intro page of the website. Second, the CSR activities of Korean fashion corporate were classified the 3P dimensions, profit (economic responsibilities), planet (environmental responsibility), and people (social responsibility). We found a total of 228 CSR issues for Korean fashion corporations. The issues included in the people dimension were 71.0%, planet issues 16.7%, and profit issues 12.3%. The most significant issue was the economic support responsibility to social organizations included in the people dimension.

This study is about the TV Electronic Program Guide (EPG) design to which Perceived Information Architecture (PIA) based on user-experience is applied. The function-oriented information architecture is not friendly for user to search channels, while Multi-channels of EPG system provides users with opportunities to select a variety of channels. Because the menu structure of EPG user interface system is not compatible with the user experience. Therefore, this study presented a user-experience-based methodology and proposed a new solution for the information architecture of user-centered EPG system design.

This study attempts to suggest effective structures and contents of health-related information websites for migrant marriage women in Korea. Emphasis was put on the strategy to provide them with quality health information service through the internet websites. Specifically, this study surveys major issues, problems, and solutions related to collecting, organizing and serving health related information on internet websites. It is based on the analysis to the needs of and the barriers to access health information on such internet websites. For this, the study collected data from 6 websites and analyzed the menu structure, contents, and the presentation of information. It is expected that the results of the study will provide multicultural agencies with primary data to construct a web-based health information service programs for migrant marriage women.

The purpose of this study is to examine the features of Internet bookshops in order to suggest the most effective website model for them. Seven Internet bookshop websites are analyzed. The evaluating criteria includes: interface layout, contents, function aspects. The results show that a suggested model should include various aspects: 1) user-centered menu structure, 2) effective search methodlsubject directory, and 3) various and good quality review.

This paper deals with interface design of a university webzines that to search through an internet portal site Naver. It was obtained the following conclusions. First, university webzines are using a hypertext link to such images, text, movie. Second, it could be seen that mainly been using block grid, the module grid, and a transformed layout of 2 tier grid. Third, Seoul woman's University, Kyungpook National University, and Korea Maritime University's webzines found that layout, color, user-friendly access the structure. Fourth, webzine was used the text or image a link, search function, site map, icon, favorites, quick menus, navigation bars, and rollover menu. Last, university webzines were shown to contribute mere to the enhancement of its value as a promotional medium.

The European Union has an active rural development policy because this helps us to achieve valuable goals for our countryside and for the people who live and work there. Rural development policy involves the cofinancing by the EU and Member States of a variety of measures. Member States decide on the most appropriate measures for their rural areas from a menu of measures proposed at EU level. There are 18 Leader+ programs in Spain. Program supports Local Action Groups which are located in two or more autonomous regions. The Valle del Jerte, located in the northwest of the province of Caceres is one of the districts making up what is known as the Alta Extremadura. The rural development strategy in this area is to overcome the great deficits of the rural world, prevent rural exodus by improving the quality of life of the population,and improve the soicoeconomic environment of the district in order to help create jobs and improve family incomes. Specifically they try to create a mechanism to improve involvement, communication and social cohesion in the district, with a view to improving the internal structure of organizations and establishing rural channels for cooperation between district institutions for integrated development of the district.

The purpose of this study is to provide library users with the effective way of use on academic library and its collection. In order to achieve this purpose the menu structure and question contents appearing at the FAQs of academic library Website were analyzed. And also, guidelines for effective use of a university library via FAQ at different access stages were proposed. It is expected that the result of this study can help both a Web designer to the development and implementation of efficient library FAQs and a creator of a library use guidebook.
