Microstructure and Ferroelectric Properties of Low Temperature Sintering PMN-PNN-PZT Ceramics with Sintering Temperature (저온소결 PMN-PNN-PZT세라믹스의 소결온도에 따른 미세구조 및 강유전특성)

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering multilayer piezoelectric actuator, PMN-PNN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured and their microstructure, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. By increasing sintering temperature, remanent polarization$(P_r)$ was increased due to the increase of sinterability and grain size. However, coercive $field(E_c)$ showed an opposite tendency to remanent polarization owing to the feasibility of domain wall motion. At the sintering temperature of $900^{\circ}C$, dielectric $constant({\varepsilon}_r)$, electromechanical coupling $factor(k_p)$, piezoelectric $constant(d_{33})$ and mechanical quality $factor(Q_m)$ showed the optimal value of 1095, 0.60, 363 and 1055, respectively, for multilayer piezoelectric actuator application.

  • In this study, to develop the composition ceramics for the Ultrasonic vibrator, $Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3Pb(Zr.Ti)O_3$ system ceramics were manufactured as a function of PCN substitution. Its dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. With increasing the amount of PCN substitution, electromechanical coupling factor(kp) were increased until 3mol% PCN and that after decreased. mechanical quality factor(Qm) showed the maxinum value at 2mol% PCN. Eletromechanical coupling factor, mechanical quality factor and dielectric constant were showed optimum value at PCN 2mol% as 0.58, 1630 and 1407, respectively for ultrasonic vibrator applications.

  • In this study, in order to develop piezoelectric device for multilayer piezoelectric ultrasonic motor, low temperature sintering $Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.02}(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.12}(Zr_{0.48}Ti_{0.52})_{0.86}O_3$ system ceramics were fabricated according to the variations of forming pressure of casting sheet. At the 300[$kgf/cm^2$] forming pressure, the maximum density of 7.8[$g/cm^3$] was obtained. At the 350[$kgf/cm^2$] forming pressure, the maximum values of effective electromechanical coupling factor $k_{cff}\;=\;0.24$ and mechanical quality factor Qm=628 were obtained.

  • In this paper, in order to develop low loss multilayer actuator, piezoelectric properties of PZW-PMN-PZT multilayer actuator sintered at $900^{\circ}C$ low temperature were investigated according to the number of multilayer. The multilayer actuator was fabricated using tape casting method and used pure Ag internal electrode. The density above $8.0\;g/cm^3$ was obtained at all specimens. With increasing number of multilayer, effective electromechanical coupling factor($k_{eff}$) was increased. $k_{eff}$ of multilayer actuator shows the maximum value of 0.283 at 11 layers actuator. However, effective mechanical quality factor(Qm') was decreased according to the increase of number of multilayer. The Qm' of multilayer actuator showed the maximum value of 920 at 5 layers actuator.

Effect of CuO on the PSN-PNN-PZT Ceramics (CuO가 PSN-PNN-PZT 세라믹스에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics for multilayer piezoelectric transformer, PSN-PNN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured as a function of CuO addition. Its dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. With increasing the amount of CuO addition, grain size was increased and density increased until 0.3wt% CuO. Taking into consideration electromechanical coupling factor(kp) of 0.53, mechanical quality factor(Qm) of 423 and ${\epsilon}r$ of 1759, it can be cincluded that the CuO 0.5wt% added composition sintered at $920^{\circ}C$ is suitable for piezoelectric transformer application if Qm is improved.

  • In order to develop the composition ceramics capable of being sintered at low temperature with high piezoelectric properties for multilayer piezoelectric actuator application, PZW-PMN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured according to sintering aid $Li_2CO_3$ addition and their microstructural, dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. The crystal structure of the specimens showed a perovskite phase and no pyrochlore or other second phase was detected. At the sintering temperature of $900\;^{\circ}C,\;0.2\;wt%Li_2CO_3$ added specimen showed a optimum values of kp = 0.562, $d_{33}\;=\;360\;pC/N$ and Qm = 1184, respectively.

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering multilayer piezoelectric transformer, PMW-PMN-PZT system ceramics were manufactured with the addition of sintering aids, and their dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics were investigated. At the composition ceramics sintered at $900^{\circ}C$, dielectric constant(${\varepsilon}r$), electromechanical coupling factor(kp) and mechanical quality factor(Qm) showed the optimal value of 1043, 0.44 and 793, respectively, for multilayer piezoelectric transformer application.

  • In this study, in order to develop the lead free piezoelectric ceramics with excellent piezoelectric properties, (Na,K)$NbO_3$ ceramics according to the amount CuO addition were fabricated using a conventional mixed oxide process and their piezoelectric and dielectric characteristics were investigated. At the 0.8mol% CuO added composition, density, electromechanical coupling factor(kp), echanical quality factor(Qm), dielectric constant$(\varepsilon_r$) and piezoelectric constant($d_{33}$) showed the optimum value of $4.459g/cm^3$, 0.469, 540, 410, 69.57pC/N, respectively.
