냉간압연강판의 자기 및 기계적특성에 관한 실험적연구 (Experimental Study on the Magnetic and Mechanical Properites in a Cold Rolled Steel)

  • The effects of annealing temperature on the magnetic properties (maximum permeability, coercive force and remanence) and mechanical properties (hardness, tensile strength and elongation at rupture) were analyzed using the nondestructive impulsive magnetic analyzer in a medium carbon cold rolled steel sheet. This nondestructive method was very useful for the analysis of magnetic and mechanical properties of materials. As it was known in the literature, the three distinct processes that indicate the recovery, recrystallization, and grain growth of a metal were measured with the non-destructive analyzer.

  • In this study, Al-Ni-Mm alloy has been produced by a gas atomization technique and consolidated by a powder extrusion method. The powders showed mixed structures of amorphous, fcc-Al phases and intermetallics. Each phase shows different size and quantity with different size of the powders due to the higher cooling rate of the finer powders. Because of the difference of the microstructure, the powders with the different size show differences of the mechanical properites of the powders and extrudates.

  • The purpose of this experimental research is to not only devlop the high-strength concrete using sea and river sand, but also investigatc mechanical properites of the high-strength concrete, such as the elastic modulus, the compressive strength of concrete cyllinder, and etc. Also, rational analytical formula for elastic modulus has been proposed together with those for the splitting tensile strength and the flexural strength to be predicted from compressive strength of conccrete cyllinder.

  • Non-heat-treated type material has been investigated for formability compared to heat-treated material. It is very important in automation of metal forming, since it has difficulties of controlling heat treating system by the computer and has bottle neck problem related with heat treatment. In this paper, we have concerned about mechanical properties of non-heat-treated material after the forging. To compare the characteristics between heat-treated material and non-heat-treated material, tensile, compression and fatigue test has been performed. Considering results of mechanical properites of non-heat-treated material, it can replace heat-treated material. Therefore non-heat-treated material may be applied to cold forging.

  • This study measured the mechanical performance and residual strength of high strength/normal strength mortar mixed with waste glass fine aggregate after alkali-silica reaction and alkali-silica reaction. As a result, the effect of improving the slip phenomenon of the waste glass fine aggregate in the high-strength mortar was not significant, but rather the amount of ASR was increased.

  • A comprehensive numerical study on the three point bending behavior of Aluminum foam-filled stainless steel tube has been performed. Aluminium alloy foams with various densities were produced and their mechanical properites were evaluated. Finite element(FE) analysis of three point bending test was performed to evaluate bending behavior of foam filled cylindrical structures. Results showed that foam filling offered remarkable increase of bending resistance and enhanced the crashworthiness of the structure. It turned out to prevent the inward fold formation at the compression flange, resulted into the multiple propagating folds and increased the load carrying capacity.

  • The formation processes of the retained austenite(${\gamma}_R$) in SHCP100 steel sheets were investigated in order to improve the transformation induced plasticity(TRIP) effect of ${\gamma}_R$. An excellent combination of elongation about 23% and high strength over 830 MPa was achieved by processing of intercritical annealing and isothermal holding. The mechanical properties of TRIP-aided dual phase steel was found to depend on the volume ratio of each phase and the volume fraction of ${\gamma}_R$. It was also noted that the proper mechanical stability of ${\gamma}_R$ improved the mechanical properties. In this work, the best balance of strength-ductility was obtained by holding the steel at $420^{\circ}C$ for 500sec. after annealing at $730^{\circ}C$ for 300 sec.

  • Wrinkling is one of the major defects in sheet metal products and may be also attributable to the wear of the tool. The initiation and growth of the wrinkles are influenced by many factors such as stress state, mechanical properites of the sheet material, geometry of the body, and contact condition. It is difficult to analyze the wrinkling initiation and growth considering the factors because the effects of the factors are very complex and the wrinkling behavior may show wide variation for small deviation of the factors. In this study, the bifurcation theory is introduced for the finite element analysis of wrinkling initiation and growth, All the above mentioned factors are conveniently considered by finite element method. The finite element formulation is based on the incremental deformation theory and elastic-plastic material modeling. The finite element analysis is carried out using the continuum-based resultant shell elements considering the planar anisotropy of the sheet metal. The proposed method is verified by employing to column buckling problem. And then, the initiation and growth of wrinkling in deep drawing of cylindrical cup are analyzed.

  • The demands of size and quality of large steel shaft forgings for ship building, power plant, steel plant, etc. are rapidly increasing, and some of these productions are manufactured from ingot weighing more than 300 tons. For use as rotating components. shafts require toughness, strength and homogeneity, and therefore are produced through a variety of heat treatments. According to the increase of ingot size, micro- and macrosegregation and also mass effect of the product increase. Thus, special care should be paid to the heat treatment of such large shaft forgings. In this paper, the heat treatment of large shaft forgings such as rotor and back-up roll is calculated using the commercial finite element code SYSWELD. Calculated distributions of temperature and phase are compared with experimental data. The continuous cooling transformation diagram, thermal and mechanical properites of each phase are used. The phase proportion, hardness and residual stress during water quenching are discussed.

  • In this study, in order to develop the low temperature sintering ceramics, PMW-PNN-PZT ceramics adding CuO, $B_2O_3$ were manufactured, and their piezoelectric properties is investigated. The results of this study were gotten such as follows. The electromechanical coupling coefficient(kp) showed good properites on the whole, showed its maximum value 36.88 in specimens sintered at $900[^{\circ}C]$, 10[mol%] $B_2O_3$. The mechanical quality coefficient(Qm) showed its maximum value 161.601 in specimens sintered at $1100[^{\circ}C]$, 15[mol%] $B_2O_3$.
