  • In a practical vibration isolation system, vibration is transmitted from the source to the receiver through several paths such as more than one inter-connected point and multi-degree of freedom at each connection point. Therefore, the major path investigation for vibration transmission among them is often required in a point of view of isolation. For the path analysis of multi-dimensional vibration isolation system, it is useful to employ the concept of vibration power in high frequency range where radiation of noise from the receiver structure is concerned. The idea is simple to understand and formulate but rather complicated to apply in practice. For an accurate estimation of power flow especially over a high frequency range, it is well known in theory that rotational motions should be taken into consideration together with translational motions at inter-connected points. In reality, however, power transmissions related to rotational terms are often neglected mainly due to difficulties in the instrumentation. In this paper, necessary formula and measurable mechanical quantities for vibration power analysis will be reviewed and experimental results with rotational terms included for compressor system in a commercial air conditioner will be shown.

Electron Dose Measurement with Polycarbonate Film Dosimeter

  • 고준위 전자선량을 측정하기 위하여 두께 0.1mm인 polycarbonate 필름을 선정하여 선량계 특성을 조사하였다. 선량범위는 1.0-130Mrad이며 도정곡선을 이용하여 200Mrad까지도 측정할 수 있었고 측정요차는 3.5% 이내였다. 330nm데서 측정한 농도는 실온에서는 조사후 1일 동안에 약 7-13% 감소하였으며 그 후의 감소율은 매우 적어 약 0.6%/일 였다. 조사후의 농도변화는 흡수선량, 보존온도 및 파장에 따라 상이하였기 때문에 조사후 경과시간 및 보존온도와 조사시의 온도에 관한 효과를 검토하였다. 이 선량계를 사용할때에는 농도 변화의 오차를 줄이기 위해서는 1일후에 농도를 측정하거나 혹은 10$0^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 열 처리가 필요하였다.

  • Unmanned remote survey system is proposed to measure distance and angle of the present position of micro-tunneling machine from any starting point of entrance. Cross type linear LED that can be controlled remotely is attached to the tunneling machine. Range finder and angle measuring devise fixed to internal of the pipe can scan the center of LED. Distance and angle measuring devises are disposed in the measurable position of the pipe, then the present position of tunneling machine can be calculated automatically from the measurements.

온라인 방사선 치료 조사야 영상 시스템의 제작과 선형성 조사 (Development of On-line Portal Imaging System and its Linearity)

  • 방사선치료에 있어서 치료시 방사선영상을 획득하여 치료조사야를 확인하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 액체유전체를 이용하여 portal 영상을 획득할 수 있는 1차원 형태의 액체전리함을 제작하고 그 선형성을 조사하였다. 액체 유전체로는 isooetane (2,2,4-TetraMethyl Pentane)을 사용하였고, 측정기의 구조는 치료용방사선발생장치의 기하학적인 구조를 고려하여 설계하였으며 위치분해능이 2mm, 측정범위가 20 cm가 되도록 설계, 제작하였다. 이렇게 완성된 이온전리함을 사용하여 실제 방사선 조사야에 측정한 결과 4.7%의 미분선형성을 나타내었다.

Analytical Model of Conduction and Switching Losses of Matrix-Z-Source Converter

  • This paper investigates analytical models of Conduction and Switching Losses (CASLs) of a matrix-Z-source converter (MZC). Two analytical models of the CASLs are obtained through the examination of operating principles for a Z-source inverter and ac-dc matrix converter respectively. Based on the two models, the analytical model of CASLs for a MZC is constructed and visualized over a range of exemplified operating- points, each of which is defined by the combination of power factor (pt) and modulation index (M). The model provides a measurable way to approximate the total losses of the MZC.

Nanoplasmonics: An Enabling Platform for Integrated Photonics and Biosensing

  • Nanoplasmonics is a developing field that offers attractive optical, electrical, and thermal properties for a wide range of potential applications. Based on the compelling characteristics of this field, researchers have shed light on the possibilities of integrated photonics and biosensing platforms using nanoplasmonic principles. Single and unique nanostructures with plasmons can act as individual transducers that convert desired information into measurable and readable signals. In this review, we will discuss nanoplasmonic sensors, especially those in relation to photodetectors for future optical interconnects, and bioinformation sensing platforms based on nanoplasmonics, thus providing a viable approach by which to create sensors corresponding to target applications. In addition, we also discuss scalable fabrication processes for the creation of unconventional nanoplasmonic devices, which will enable next-generation plasmonic devices for wearable, flexible, and biocompatible systems.

  • An optical magnetic filed sensor, YIG (Yittrium Iron Garnet), response rapidly, to the power-line currents to be measured. In response to Faraday effect, it shows wide-and-linear measurable range. This paper reports the development and implementation of an OOCR (Optoelectric OverCurrent Relay) using this sensor. This relay is free from environmental electro-magnetic noises and has excellent insulation characteristics inherently. By using this OOCR, we can reduce insulation cost of protective relaying systems and its maintenance cost, and can achieve high reliability of the system.

효모성장 측정을 이용한 인삼추출물의 생물학적 검정 (A Bioassay of Ginseng Extract s Based on Yeast Growth Determination)

  • For bioassay of the various extracts of ginseng, the growth determination method using Saccharomyces cerevisiae which was cultured with various doses of the extracts, was studied The water extract, Powder. and ethanol extract were more effective (about 45∼ 110% increase) than saponins or its fractions (about 20∼35% increase). The cold methanol residue showed a increase effect but it was not significant. The bioassay curves for the water extract, ethanol extract, the butanol extracted saponins and the cold methanol- residue were made from the experimental data. From these curves it is possible to find the relation between dose and effectiveness and the optimal doses of various ginseng extracts, and the amount of extract in a sample can be estimated The .angers of sample amount were 0.01% (100ppm) ∼0.32% (3200ppm) fo. the water extract, 0.025% (150ppm)∼0.1% (1000ppm) for the ethanol extract, and 0.008% (80ppm)∼0.016% (160ppm) for the saponins. It was impossible to determine the range for the cold methanol- residue, The acceleration effects on the cell proliferation by a only 0.0008% (8ppm) of the diol- and triol-saponin were measurable in earlier Period (24 hour treatment).

On-line Faults Signature Monitoring Tool for Induction Motor Diagnosis

  • The monitoring and the diagnosis of the faults in induction motors starting from the stator current are very interesting, since it is an accessible and measurable quantity. The spectral analysis of the stator current makes it possible to highlight the characteristic frequencies of the faults but in a wide frequency range depending on half the sampling frequency, making it very difficult to monitor on-line the faults. In order to facilitate the use of the relevant frequencies of machine faults we proposed the extraction of the frequency components using two methods, namely, the amplitude and the instantaneous frequency. The theoretical bases of these methods were presented and the results were validated on a test bench with an induction motor of 5.5 kw.

Edge Impulse 기계 학습 기반의 임베디드 시스템 설계 (Edge Impulse Machine Learning for Embedded System Design)

  • In this paper, the Embedded MEMS system to the power apparatus used Edge Impulse machine learning tools and therefore an improved predictive system design is implemented. The proposed MEMS embedded system is developed based on nRF52840 system and the sensor with 3-Axis Digital Magnetometer, I2C interface and magnetic measurable range ±120 uT, BM1422AGMV which incorporates magneto impedance elements to detect magnetic field and the ARM M4 32-bit processor controller circuit in a small package. The MEMS embedded platform is consisted with Edge Impulse Machine Learning and system driver implementation between hardware and software drivers using SensorQ which is special queue including user application temporary sensor data. In this paper by experimenting, TensorFlow machine learning training output is applied to the power apparatus for analyzing the status such as "Normal, Warning, Hazard" and predicting the performance at level of 99.6% accuracy and 0.01 loss.
