문과 출신 학생을 위한 대학 미적분학 보충학습 프로그램 개발 (Development of the Calculus Supplement Learning Program for university students)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an effective Calculus Supplement Learning Program for university students who are from liberal arts and investigate how the program affects their achievement and attitude in mathematics. we analyzed their answer sheets and interview reports with qualitative methods. After adapting the program, students recognized that mathematical concepts and definitions were very important to study a college calculus. Also they picked up how to learn mathematics in college. Finally, we found that students could develop their abilities of proof, problem solving, and logical thinking through the program.

  • 수학 영재교육 프로그램은 해당 학생이 영재인지의 여부를 판별하는 것 못지않게 영재 학생에게 잠재된 능력을 최대한 계발하는 기회를 제공하는 것에 중점이 놓여야 한다. 본고에서는 이러한 문제의식에서 수학 영재교육에 시사를 주는 '후천적 영재' 이론이라고 할 수 있는 Vygotsky의 관점을 살펴본다. 수학 영재의 특성과 Vygotsky의 학습 심리 이론을 기반으로 한 논의는, 현행 수학 영재 수업에서 적절한 수업 모형의 제시뿐만 아니라 교실 문화 상황과 교사의 역할을 중요하게 부각시킨다.

STEAM 수업에서의 멘토교사 경험이 예비수학교사들의 STEAM 교수 역량에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Mentoring Experience in STEAM Classes on Pre-service Mathematics Teachers' Teaching Competency for STEAM Education)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 STEAM 수업에서의 멘토교사 경험이 예비수학교사들의 융합인재교육(STEAM) 교수 역량에 미치는 효과에 대해서 알아보는 것이다. 본 연구는 사범대학과 연계된 중학교 자유학기제 수학탐구 프로그램에 참여한 23명의 예비수학교사들을 대상으로 한 학기 동안 수행되었다. 예비수학교사들의 STEAM 교수 역량의 변화 및 멘토교사 프로그램의 효과를 알아보기 위하여 사전, 사후 STEAM 교수 역량 검사와 수업 일기 및 간담회 자료 분석 결과를 활용하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면, STEAM 수업에서의 멘토교사 경험은 예비수학교사들의 STEAM 교육에 대한 지식, 교과내용지식, 교수학습방법, 수업상황 및 환경 역량 함양에 매우 효과적이었다. 특히, 중학생들을 대상으로 이루어진 STEAM 수업에서의 현장 경험이 예비수학교사들의 STEAM 교육에 대한 이해 향상과 더불어 실천적 지식을 형성하는데 실질적으로 도움이 된 것으로 나타났다.

뉴질랜드의 교사교육 프로그램과 수학교사교육 (Teacher Education Program and Mathematics Teacher Education in New Zealand)

  • The purpose of teacher education can be accepted in various meanings but it is not too much to say that the ultimate purpose is focused on training teachers to teach instruction in school effectively. The purpose of this article consists in giving some suggestive points to the primary teacher education of our country by introducing education system, teacher education programs, real cases of teacher education in new zealand to the readers. To do this, I took part in four classes and observed the ones, interviewed some students and collected the materials of products of activity during one year and also videotaped for analysis in the case of needed and so we have reached the following conclusions. First, we have found that the teacher education program, practicum, management of class and assessment system of new zealand college of education are quite different with our primary teacher education systems and also various courses are established. Second, the teacher education in new zealand is focused on how they compose the environment of learning related to the context of one. Third, we have to think seriously how we can teach our students interestingly in our classroom. Finally, the global trend of instruction in new zealand teacher education is oriented to learner and so I felt that daily class itself is the one to cultivate creativity of learner.

수학 학습 부진아의 개별화 교수 방법 (A Study on the Individualized Teaching method for Underachievers in Mathematics)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine meaning, factors, and diagnostic method of underachievers in mathematics and to propose the idea of the individualized teaching method for underachievers. For the first purpose, previous literatures on underachievers are reviewed. For the second purpose, this study described the procedure of developing the individualized instructional program, and the method of diagnosing and prescribing errors in mathematics. In the future, individualized instructional program need to be developed based on correct diagnosis of factors effecting under achievement for the effective teaching of underachievers.

  • P대학에서는 교양수학 교과에 대한 기초학력 부진학생들의 문제해결력 향상을 위하여, 대학 교육역량강화사업의 일환으로 수학카페 운영과 함께, 기초수학 특강, 개인지도 및 컴퓨터 활용학습 등을 시행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 여름 및 겨울방학을 이용하여 기초수학 특강을 실시하고, 그 결과를 중심으로 수학에 대한 기초학력 부진학생들을 위한 효율적인 기초수학 학습지도 방안을 살펴보고자 한다.

초등학교에서의 군 개념 지도에 관한 연구 (On the instruction of concepts of groups in elementary school)

  • In late 19C, German mathematician Felix Klein declaired "Erlangen program" to reform mathematics education in Germany. The main ideas of "Erlangen program" contain the importance of instructing the concepts of functions and groups in school mathematics. After one century from that time, the importance of concepts of groups revived by Bourbaki in the sense of the algebraic structure which is the most important structure among three structures of mathematics - algebraic structure. ordered structure and topological structure. Since then, many mathematicians and mathematics educators devoted to work with the concepts of group for school mathematics. This movement landed on Korea in 21C, and now, the concepts of groups appeared in element mathematics text as plane rigid motion. In this paper, we state the rigid motions centered the symmetry - an important notion in group theory, then summarize the results obtained from some classroom activities. After that, we discuss the responses of children to concepts of groups.of groups.

수학교육의 의의 및 교육 방식에 관한 역사적 고찰 - 케임브리지대학과 UCL의 사례를 중심으로 - (Historical Study on the Values and Methods of Mathematics Education - On the Cases of Cambridge University and University College, London -)

  • The values and methods of mathematics education which mathematics teachers tried to impart to their students have varied historically according to the situations of each institution. The cases of the mathematics education in Cambridge University and University College, London show that the peculiar meanings or values of mathematics education were transmitted on students and the methods or focus of the teaching were uniquely determined under the influences of university examinations or conditions of students. In specific, the characteristic education of Augustus De Morgan who studied in Cambridge University and then taught in University College, London reveals better the different institutional contexts. In this paper, I suggest mathematics teachers reconsider mathematics learning motivations on their institutional contexts.

Exploring Level Descriptors of Geometrical Thinking

  • The aim of this study was to explore the grade 1-3 students' geometrical thinking level descriptors based on van Hiele level descriptors. The data were collected through collection of geometric curriculum materials such as indicators and learning standards in Basic Education Core Curriculum and mathematics textbook for grades 1-3. The findings were found that 1) Inconsistency between descriptors appeared on mathematics curriculum and Thai mathematics textbooks. 2) Using topics on textbooks as criterion for exploring 5 of 7 descriptors appeared on Thai mathematics textbook indicated geometrical thinking levels based on van Hiele's model merely level 0 (Visualization) across textbooks for grades 1-3.

  • This article is that we develop a learning Serpinsky Triangle using on the internet by the domain of regulations and function in elementary school mathematics. We construct the learning operation of zoom Serpinsky Triangle that can be used on the internet and develop the java program for understanding the concept of the Serpinsky Triangle.
