  • AHP is utilized in various fields since its mathematical theory is simple and it can be applied practically and easily. In this paper we study the mathematical foundations of the AHP. And we discuss that the AHP practices purpose of mathematical teaching. Also, we propose an alternative plan for teaching-learning of mathematics based on the discussion.

  • A class of topological algebras, which we call it a fundamental one, has already been introduced generalizing the famous Cohen factorization theorem to more general topological algebras. To prove the generalized versions of Cohen's theorem to locally multilplicatively convex algebras, and finally to fundamental topological algebras, the completness of the background spaces is one of the main conditions. The local convexity of the completion of a locally convex space is a well known fact and here we have a discussion on the completness of fundamental metrizable topological vector spaces.

  • In this article, the author's intent is to begin a conversation centered on the question: How was the integration of digital technology into elementary mathematics classrooms framed? In the first part of the discussion, the author provides a historical perspective of the development of theoretical perspectives of the integration of digital technology in learning mathematics. Then, the author describes three theoretical perspectives of the role of digital technology in mathematics education: microworlds, instrumental genesis, and semiotic mediation. Last, based on three different theoretical perspectives, the author concludes the article by asking the reader to think differently.

  • This study suggests a theoretical model and examples of overcoming cognitive obstacles related to the limits of mathematical sequences. The model includes 3 stages, that is, an exposure of obstacles, the awareness of conflicts, and the resolutions of conflicts. Also this model emphases discussions of teacher and students or among students. Such a discussion stimulates reflections of students having cognitive obstacles, helps them to cast away their old conceptions and to obtain right concepts.

  • This paper is concerned with the global asymptotic stability of strong solutions for a class of semilinear evolution equations with nonlocal initial conditions on infinite interval. The discussion is based on analytic semigroups theory and the gradually regularization method. The results obtained in this paper improve and extend some related conclusions on this topic.

  • Some discussions are made about practices which take places in some aspects of instructions from the viewpoints of traditional and reform based instruction. This kind of discussion is needed to be done, because there is no evidences to show that reform based instruction is mainly implemented among teachers even through reform based instruction has continued to be stressed since the 7th national curriculum was released. Some suggestions was made for consideration of further deep discussions based on the practices discussed earlier.

  • The purpose of this paper is to diagnose the problems of the revision process of the curriculum, and identify the issues in relation to the 7th mathematics curriculum. From the review on the curriculum revision process in Korea, three issues were identified; timing and scale of curriculum revision, research and curriculum revision, and the relationship between the revision of the overall curriculum and that of a subject curriculum. Regarding the mathematics curriculum, the three issues were raised for further discussion; lack of philosophy behind the mathematics curriculum, optimization of mathematics educational content, and differentiated curricula for students of different abilities.

  • This paper is concerned with a second-order iterated differential equation of the form $c_0x'(Z)+c_1x'(z)+c_2x(z)=x(az+bx(z))+h(z)$ with the distinctive feature that the argument of the unknown function depends on the state. By constructing a convergent power series solution of an auxiliary equation, analytic solutions of the original equation are obtained.

  • In this paper we investigate criteria that for an irreducible monic quadratic polynomial f(x) ${\in}$ $\mathbb{Q}$[x], $f{\circ}g$ is reducible over $\mathbb{Q}$ for an irreducible polynomial g(x) ${\in}$ $\mathbb{Q}$[x]. Odoni intrigued the discussion about an explicit form of irreducible polynomials f(x) such that $f{\cric}f$ is reducible. We construct a system of infitely many such polynomials.
