  • This study is examined interaction between carbon market with stock market using a multivariate GARCH(DCC) model. Carbon market is EU ETS EUA price, stock market is the iron and cement stock price which has relatively energy intensive and massive carbon emissions sector in the industrial sector. It also analyzed changes in the correlation between the markets through an analysis of correlation coefficients. Moreover, it checked whether there was marketability expansion(or expansion of carbon emissions reduction) through the analysis above. As a result of empirical tests, it showed that the price spillover effect was insignificant. In addition, it represented that there was a weak correlation between the two markets since the volatility spillover effect disappeared in the second phase by an external shock(a financial crisis). Moreover, it was revealed that there were no significant changes although there was a weak upward trend in terms of the correlation between the carbon market and the stock market. This implies that emission rights could not expand marketability to financial market as a commodity(or did not play its natural role of the reduction of carbon emission).

  • We explored how 'Wonwhang' pear fruit quality was affected by selenium (Se) application. The fruit skin color and fruit type differed between Se-treated trees and controls. Se-treated fruits had higher potassium and Se concentrations, more fruit soluble solids, and lower acidity, compared to the controls. All Se treatments improved fruit firmness during cold temperature storage compared to the controls. Also, Se-treated fruits had greater specific gravity and minuteness, which reduced fruit pithiness and rendered test fruits denser than the controls. Overall, Se foliar application improved fruits marketability compared to the Se fertilization or Se trunk injection.

  • This study aims to develop the processed foods with chestnut and support their commercialization. Interview was performed with owner of Gongju chestnut food processing company and sensory evaluation was carried out by 103 male and female adults aged 20-70 using Likert 5 point scale-scoring test for chestnut processed food items developed. Nutrient contents of processed foods with chestnut were analyzed by Korea Food Research Institute. Commercialization support contents were high calorie low nutrition distinction, nutrition facts production and expiration date determination. We suggested 27 kinds of feasible chestnut processed foods. Among these, 10 items, chestnut pudding, chestnut glutinous rice cake bread, chestnut poundcake, chestnut burrito, chestnut millet pancake, chestnut soup, Yulpyeon, chestnut yakgwa, chestnut yeot, and chestnut yanggaeng were selected after consultants' assessment. Considering sensory evaluation, consultants' opinions, and company owners' opinion and status, chestnut poundcake and chestnut yakgwa were ultimately selected for commercialization support. Nutrient contents showed that chestnut pound cake and chestnut yakgwa were not high calorie low nutrition food. Expiration date was 10 days for chestnut pound cake and 6 months for chestnut yakgwa. By developing chestnut processed foods with high marketability, and supporting immediate commercialization, it is expected to increase high added value of chestnut.

  • In a knowledge-based information society, the technology in itself is one of the most valuable information and in common use as assets. Assessment of a technology depends on many factors such as the grade of technology, marketability, and the time of evaluation, which makes it much more difficult to perform than the other tangible properties. Ultimately, it should be extremely important to consider environmental aspect for technology assessment in order to cope voluntarily with the change of uncertain future toward highly reliable evaluation.

  • In order to study the effect of modified atmosphere packaging(M.A.P.) and controlled atmosphere(C. A.) storage on keeping freshness of mushrooms (Agricus-bisporus). Mushrooms was packaged with polyethylene(P.E.) film (40${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 60${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 80${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) and C.A. conditions(CO2 concentration of 2%, O2 concentration of 2%) and storage at 0$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$, RH(relative hummidity) 92$\pm$1%. Gas composition in film was changed rapidly at early of storage, but it kept a constant level after 14 days of storage, and then kept at the level of 6~9% CO2 and 2~5% O2. Weight loss was 5% in non-packed mushrooms after 3 days of storage, but P.E. film, CO2 treated, C.A. conditions were 5% after 21 days of storage. Flesh firmness of the mushrooms was continuously decreased throughout storage period and the lowest of flesh firmness changed was 80${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$-P.E. film packing. Discoloration of the piteous of mushrooms appears to be the most Important factors to determine its marketability, L value of it appears to be of the high values at P.E. film packing and C.A. conditions during period. • This study tries to measure the direct and indirect effects of the Regional Strategic Industry (RSI) promotion projects in Chungbuk Province in Korea. In specific, it critically examines whether there exists policy consistency and connectivity between the hardware-oriented Stage I (2002~2007) and the software-centered Stage II (2008~2012) RSI promotion projects. Applying System Dynamics (SD) techniques, this study examines complex system characteristics of RSI promotion projects, all of which have been derived from the causal and stock-flow models and their simulated results. Major findings are as follows: Firstly, 'the continuous investment' is regarded as the most crucial policy leverage for the strategic industry promotion and regional economic growth. Secondly, without exceptions, the RSI promotion projects should switch their evaluation criteria to performance-oriented ones. Thirdly, in selecting their subprojects, the RSI promotion projects should pay due attention to evaluating technology value and marketability. Fourthly, it should put policy priority in strengthening cluster networking and interconnectivity among projects, inevitably supporting a selective number of virtuous network systems. Fifthly, auxiliary projects such as marketing, technology aid, and knowledge-based services should not be overlooked.
