We, Tong Yang Moolsan Co. Ltd. (TYM) set up the mass-production system for virus-free seed garlic via tissue culture technique. TYM's tissue culture technique is called as 'Multiple shoot propagation technique' This technique can lead mass propagation of genetically homogeneous seed garlic in a short period because of its highly proliferation rate of in vitro shoots (15/sup 10//year). TYM researchers applied the technique to some selected garlic cultivars with superior characteristics and carried out field test of productivity in the inside and outside of the country for several years. According to the yearly results of field test with virus-free seed garlic, we ascertained that virus-free seed garlic can produce the highly yield increase (max. above 50%) and also can enhance the product quality. Consequently, we estimated that TYM's seed garlic will contribute to farmers with increase of income and can elevate the national position of garlic market in the world for its competitive power of technical and production cost.
In case of doenjang, solution of browning problem might be an important remedy in order to dissolve consumers' dissatisfaction, therefore this study was performed to develop traditional doenjang which has improved in color aspect for consumers' needs. Physicochemical compositions and color values of commercialized traditional doenjang which was processed by history references of our country, were analyzed. doenjang used as samples were processed with traditional meju, which were made with soybean and mixed with various rates after following process such as soaking, steaming, cooling, chopping and grinding. The doenjang processed were storaged at $30^{\circ}C$ for 27 days, and their amino-N, pH, color values and sensory evaluation were analyzed with fermentation period. Furthermore, nitrogen results analyzed were compared with that of commercialized traditional doenjang. In the comparison with control, treated with only traditional meju, and doenjang treatments processed with different mixing rates of traditional meju and steamed soybean, the content of amino-N in control were higher than the others, and the contents of amino-N decreased with increasing contents of steamed soybean. Their pH were changed weak alkalic region into weak acidic region with fermentation period. In the aspect of color, traditional doenjang having the rate of traditional meju and steamed soybean (1:4) was most improved and also, in comparison of result of sensory evaluation with commercial traditional doenjang, its color, taste and falvor were evaluated predominent, therefore it might be thought to have competition on the market.

This study selected 60 board games that have a high sales rate and awareness in the board game market, and analyzed 37 board games that were selected through the advice of experts. According to the analysis of general characteristics, there was the highest number of board games that more than 2 people could participate and people from ages 7 to 11 could use, and the most common play time was from 20 minutes to 30 minutes. Also, there was the largest number of board games produced in 2000s, and Germany was the most common producer of board games. Next, the content analysis showed that abstract strategy was the most common game genre, and cognitive domain was the most common in the development area. The analysis based on how to play the game showed that games that had to go through 4 stages were the most common. Card games were the most common form of game, group was the most common in organization form, and reaching goal was most common among result analysis method. According to the analysis of correlation by items, the number of people and work analysis had a statistical correlation, and the playing age, time, and genre had a correlation. The origin of the game and game genre were also correlated to each other, and game form, game genre, organization form, and result analysis had a statistical correlation as well. The purpose of this study is to analyze the board game in terms of structural characteristics and to provide a foundation for future research.
The effect of packaging methods on the quality characteristics of leaf lettuces was studied during storage at low temperature. Using five commercial packaging types: non-perforated PP (polypropylene) film bags, PP film roll, perforated PP film bags, PET (polyethyleneterephthalate) trays, and micro-perforated LDPE film bags, changes in color, respiration rate, and weight loss of leaf lettuces were investigated. Packaging in non-perforated PP film bags minimized color change and weight loss during storage. The leaf lettuces packaged in non-perforated PP film bags, among the five packaging choices, showed good external appearance and offered the greatest sale potential in the domestic market. However, there were no clear differences in the respiration rates of lettuces packed in various ways. The PET tray afforded very good protection of leaf lettuces from physical damage. The results indicate that the marketability of lettuces may be directly affected by the packaging modes employed, and that the optimal packaging may be non-perforated PP film bags; these keep lettuces fresh during low-temperature storage.

Basel III (Third Basel Accord or Basel Standards) is a global, voluntary regulatory framework on bank capital adequacy, stress testing, and market liquidity risk. Basel III regulatory ratios include capital adequacy, asset soundness, and liquidity. The capital adequacy variables include BIS capital adequacy ratio, BIS tier 1 capital ratio, and tangible common equity ratio. The asset soundness variables include non-performing loan ratio and non-performing loan coverage ratio. The liquidity regulation variables include KRW liquidity coverage ratio and foreign currency liquidity coverage ratio. This study aims to investigate how capital adequacy standard affects efficiency of internet primary banks. As a result of this study, BIS capital adequacy ratio of domestic internet primary banks is lower than that of commercial banks. In order to maintain sustainable operation considering capital adequacy regulations, it is necessary to expand additional capital. In addition, the delinquency rate and non-performing loan ratio of domestic internet primary banks is gradually increasing due to the maturity of high-yield loans in 2019.
Since the introduction of the Riester Pension Scheme, the controversy has continued in the policy studies and the political debates. This study evaluates the achievements and limitations of the German Riester pension scheme and tries to derive policy implications for South Korea. As a result of the analysis, the most worthwhile achievement of the Riester Pension is to strengthen the role of the private pension schemes. Unlike other private pension schemes, it included a large part of lower income households. It also opened a new perspective of utilizing private pension schemes to accomplish the goals of the family policy. Despite these attainments, it does not reach the promised coverage rate. It also was revealed that the higher income households have concluded more Riester Pension Contracts than the targeted lower-income households. Due to high administration fee and incomplete information problems, benefit levels are supposed to be much lower than expected. It concludes, above all, despite some achievements, the Riester Pension Scheme will not fill completely the gap of old age income security caused by the reduction of the public pension system. The German case provides fruitful lessons for Korea. The introduction of a subsidized personal pension scheme in South Korea can be realized only when some prerequisites would be satisfied such as the consolidation and maturing of public pension schemes and the strengthening of the transparency in the private pension market.
Changes in demographic and economic conditions affect corporate strategy, labor market and social welfare. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of changes in population and economic situation on library use and to examine the income effect of library use. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, we analyzed the 10 year fixed library of public library statistics and statistical census data from 2008 to 2017 using the panel fixed effect model using the data of regional gross production and unemployment rate. And the changes in the economic and demographic characteristics of the region are used to confirm the regularity of the relationship between the changes in the usage situation of the libraries belonging to a certain region and the changes in the economic and demographic conditions in the respective regions. As a result of the analysis, the changes in the economic environment did not significantly affect the number of visitors to the library and the number of library users, but it was an important factor in the number of borrowers. This study is significant in that it shows how the economic environment changes affect the library. The result of this study is expected to be a theoretical basis for establishing the service policy of public libraries.

Korea's facility horticulture has developed remarkably in a short period of time. However, in order to secure international competitiveness in response to unfavorable surrounding conditions such as high operating costs and market opening, it is necessary to diagnose the problems of facility horticulture and prepare countermeasures through analysis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the case of leading farmers by introducing information and communication technology (ICT) in hydroponic cultivation agriculture and horticulture, and to examine how agricultural technology utilizing smart farm and big data of facility horticulture contribute to farm productivity. Crop growth information gathering and analysis solutions were developed to analyze the productivity change factors calculated from hydroponics tomato farms and strawberry farms. The results of this study are as follows. The application range of the leaf temperature was verified to be variously utilized such as house ventilation in the facility, opening and closing of the insulation curtain, and determination of the initial watering point and the ending time point. Second, it is necessary to utilize water content information of crop growth. It was confirmed that the crop growth rate information can confirm whether the present state of crops is nutrition or reproduction, and can control the water content artificially according to photosynthesis ability. Third, utilize EC and pH information of crops. Depending on the crop, EC values should be different according to climatic conditions. It was confirmed that the current state of the crops can be confirmed by comparing EC and pH, which are measured from the supplied EC, pH and draining. Based on the results of this study, it can be confirmed that the productivity of smart farm can be affected by how to use the information of measurement growth.
The purpose of this study is to examine how two factors among various affecting factors of technological innovation, i.e. sectoral system of innovation and R&D support service, were actually applied in the case of NUC Electronics. This company has achieved high level of innovation performance through change of injection port and improvement of extracting rate. This was possible because each component of sectoral system of innovation system was matched with the innovation activity. The improvement of the performance in NUC Electronics was attributable to its own innovation efforts and R&D support service of government research institute. In the process of technological innovation, the company could receive high-level services in areas such as product design and virtual experiments that companies can not solve themselves. It can be said that the role of government and public institutions to support the shortage of SMEs was important. In terms of each component of sectoral system of innovation, we found that there were many opportunities of new technology; sustainability was low; imitation was easy; appropriability was low but it has dualily; accumulation of technology was relatively high, availability of external knowledge was high. At the same time, both of the company and the network played an important role, and market conditions were very favorable. In terms of R&D support services, it is a direct effect that a great deal of time and cost savings have been achieved through virtual experiments on the material and shape of the screw. As an indirect effect, the core competence of the company has been greatly strengthened by utilizing the momentum of technology development through external support, hence the company could establish the structure of virtuous circle of innovation.

Recently, mobile healthcare services have attracted significant attention because of the emerging development and supply of diverse wearable devices. Smartwatches and health bands are the most common type of mobile-based wearable devices and their market size is increasing considerably. However, simple value comparisons based on accumulated data have revealed certain problems, such as the standardized nature of health management and the lack of personalized health management service models. The convergence of information technology (IT) and biotechnology (BT) has shifted the medical paradigm from continuous health management and disease prevention to the development of a system that can be used to provide ground-based medical services regardless of the user's location. Moreover, the IT-BT convergence has necessitated the development of lifestyle improvement models and services that utilize big data analysis and machine learning to provide mobile healthcare-based personal health management and disease prevention information. Users' health data, which are specific as they change over time, are collected by different means according to the users' lifestyle and surrounding circumstances. In this paper, we propose a prediction model of user physical activity that uses data characteristics-based long short-term memory (DC-LSTM) recurrent neural networks (RNNs). To provide personalized services, the characteristics and surrounding circumstances of data collectable from mobile host devices were considered in the selection of variables for the model. The data characteristics considered were ease of collection, which represents whether or not variables are collectable, and frequency of occurrence, which represents whether or not changes made to input values constitute significant variables in terms of activity. The variables selected for providing personalized services were activity, weather, temperature, mean daily temperature, humidity, UV, fine dust, asthma and lung disease probability index, skin disease probability index, cadence, travel distance, mean heart rate, and sleep hours. The selected variables were classified according to the data characteristics. To predict activity, an LSTM RNN was built that uses the classified variables as input data and learns the dynamic characteristics of time series data. LSTM RNNs resolve the vanishing gradient problem that occurs in existing RNNs. They are classified into three different types according to data characteristics and constructed through connections among the LSTMs. The constructed neural network learns training data and predicts user activity. To evaluate the proposed model, the root mean square error (RMSE) was used in the performance evaluation of the user physical activity prediction method for which an autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model, a convolutional neural network (CNN), and an RNN were used. The results show that the proposed DC-LSTM RNN method yields an excellent mean RMSE value of 0.616. The proposed method is used for predicting significant activity considering the surrounding circumstances and user status utilizing the existing standardized activity prediction services. It can also be used to predict user physical activity and provide personalized healthcare based on the data collectable from mobile host devices.
