  • Recently, as the ICT field has been used in various environments, it has become possible to analyze pests by crops, use robots when harvesting crops, and predict by big data by utilizing ICT technologies in a sustainable agricultural environment. However, in a sustainable agricultural environment, efforts to solve resource depletion, agricultural population decline, poverty increase, and environmental destruction are constantly being demanded. This paper proposes an artificial intelligence-based big data processing analysis method to reduce the production cost and increase the efficiency of crops based on a sustainable agricultural environment. The proposed technique strengthens the security and reliability of data by processing big data of crops combined with AI, and enables better decision-making and business value extraction. It can lead to innovative changes in various industries and fields and promote the development of data-oriented business models. During the experiment, the proposed technique gave an accurate answer to only a small amount of data, and at a farm site where it is difficult to tag the correct answer one by one, the performance similar to that of learning with a large amount of correct answer data (with an error rate within 0.05) was found.

  • In this study, we investigated the time signal devices of Deungnu (circa 1270) and Gungnu (1354), the water clocks produced during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). These clocks influenced Heumgyeonggaknu (1438) of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), exemplifying the automatic water clocks of the Yuan Dynasty. Deungnu, Gungnu, and Heumgyeonggaknu can be considered as automatic mechanical clocks capable of performances. The Jega-Yeoksang-Jip (Collection of Calendrical and Astronomical Theories of Various Chinese Masters) contains records of Deungnu extracted from the History of the Yuan Dynasty. We interpreted these records and analyzed reproduction models and technical data previously produced in China. The time signal device of Deungnu featured a four-story structure, with the top floor displaying the four divine constellations, the third floor showcasing models of these divinities, the second floor holding 12-h jacks and a 100-Mark ring, and the first floor with four musicians and a 100-Mark Time-Signal Puppet providing a variety of visual attractions. We developed a 3D model of Deungnu, proposing two possible mechanical devices to ensure that the Time-Signal Puppet simultaneously pointed to the 100-Mark graduations in the east, west, south, and north windows: one model reduced the rotation ratio of the 100-Mark ring to 1/4, whereas the other model maintained the rotation ratio using four separate 100-Mark rings. The power system of Deungnu was influenced by Suunuisangdae (the water-driven astronomical clock tower) of the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127); this method was also applied to Heumgyeonggaknu in the Joseon Dynasty. In conclusion, these automatic water clocks of East Asia from the 13th to 15th centuries symbolized creativity and excellence, representing scientific devices that were the epitome of clock-making technology in their times.

  • In this case report, we present the radiologic and pathologic findings of atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) in the male breast. It is well known that a high-risk lesion such as ADH is a precursor of breast cancer in females. However, the clinical significance of these lesions in the male breast is still uncertain because male breasts mainly consist of ducts without lobule formation, unlike the female breast. To our knowledge, imaging findings of ADH in the male breast have not been reported previously, except for a few studies on the pathologic findings of these lesions. Through this paper, we would like to present the possible imaging features of this high-risk lesion in the male breast and review the related literature.

  • This study investigates the thermal post-buckling behavior of concrete eccentric annular sector plates reinforced with graphene oxide powders (GOPs). Employing the minimum total potential energy principle, the plates' stability and response under thermal loads are analyzed. The Haber-Schaim foundation model is utilized to account for the support conditions, while the transform differential quadrature method (TDQM) is applied to solve the governing differential equations efficiently. The integration of GOPs significantly enhances the mechanical properties and stability of the plates, making them suitable for advanced engineering applications. Numerical results demonstrate the critical thermal loads and post-buckling paths, providing valuable insights into the design and optimization of such reinforced structures. This study presents a machine learning algorithm designed to predict complex engineering phenomena using datasets derived from presented mathematical modeling. By leveraging advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques, the algorithm effectively captures and learns intricate patterns from the mathematical models, providing accurate and efficient predictions. The methodology involves generating comprehensive datasets from mathematical simulations, which are then used to train the machine learning model. The trained model is capable of predicting various engineering outcomes, such as stress, strain, and thermal responses, with high precision. This approach significantly reduces the computational time and resources required for traditional simulations, enabling rapid and reliable analysis. This comprehensive approach offers a robust framework for predicting the thermal post-buckling behavior of reinforced concrete plates, contributing to the development of resilient and efficient structural components in civil engineering.

  • In this paper, the purpose of this paper is to predict and prevent the risk of crowd concentration in advance for possible future crowd accidents based on the Itaewon crush accident in Korea on October 29, 2022. In the case of a single CCTV, the administrator can determine the current situation in real time, but since the screen cannot be seen throughout the day, objects are detected using YOLOv4, which learns images taken with CCTV angle, and safety accidents due to crowd concentration are prevented by notification when the number of clusters exceeds. The reason for using the YOLO v4 model is that it improves with higher accuracy and faster speed than the previous YOLO model, making object detection techniques easier. This service will go through the process of testing with CCTV image data registered on the AI-Hub site. Currently, CCTVs have increased exponentially in Korea, and if they are applied to actual CCTVs, it is expected that various accidents, including accidents caused by crowd concentration in the future, can be prevented.

  • With the advancement and proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT), a wide range of location-based services are being offered, and various ranging methods are being researched to meet the objectives of the required services. Conventional ranging methods involve the direct exchange of signals between tags and anchors to estimate distance, presenting a limitation in efficiently utilizing communication resources in large-scale IoT environments. To overcome these limitations, active-passive ranging methods have been proposed. However, there is a lack of theoretical convergence guarantees against clock drift errors and a detailed analysis of the characteristics of ranging estimation techniques, making it challenging to derive precise positioning results. In this paper, an improved active-passive ranging method that accounts for clock drift errors is proposed for precise positioning in large-scale IoT environments. The simulation results confirmed that the proposed active-passive ranging method can enhance distance estimation performance by up to 94.4% and 14.4%, respectively, compared to the existing active-passive ranging methods.

  • This study aims to develop an integrated agricultural distribution network management system to improve the quality, profit, and decision-making efficiency of agricultural products. We adopt two key techniques: crop maturity detection based on the YOLOX target detection algorithm and market price prediction based on the Prophet model. By training the target detection model, it was possible to accurately identify crops of various maturity stages, thereby optimizing the shipment timing. At the same time, by collecting historical market price data and predicting prices using the Prophet model, we provided reliable price trend information to shipping decision makers. According to the results of the study, it was found that the performance of the model considering the holiday factor was significantly superior to that of the model that did not, proving that the effect of the holiday on the price was strong. The system provides strong tools and decision support to farmers and agricultural distribution managers, helping them make smart decisions during various seasons and holidays. In addition, it is possible to optimize the distribution network of agricultural products and improve the quality and profit of agricultural products.

  • PURPOSE: This study aimed to utilize the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) tool to identify a problem list and explore intervention effects using proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) for improving the crosswalk performance of patients who have undergone a bilateral hip arthroplasty. METHODS: The subject of this study was a 43-year-old male who had undergone a bilateral hip arthroplasty. To address the subject's functional status, a clinical decision-making process was carried out in the order of examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, intervention, and outcome. Patient information during the examination was collected using the ICF core set. The evaluation involved listing the items of each problem using the ICF assessment sheet and identifying the interaction between activity limitations and the impairment level. The diagnosis explicitly described the causal relationships derived from the evaluation using ICF terminology. The prognosis presented activity goals, body function, and structured goals in terms of the activity and participation levels that needed to be achieved for an individual's functional status. The intervention approached problems through the four components of the PNF philosophy, namely basic principles and procedures, techniques, and patterns, in an indirect-direct-task sequence. Results were compared before and after the intervention using the ICF evaluation display. RESULTS: The results of the study showed that the primary activity limitation, which was the walking time across the crosswalk, showed improvement, and the trunk's counter rotation and the weight-bearing capacity of both the lower limbs, which were impairment level indicators, were enhanced. CONCLUSION: This study suggests that PNF intervention strategies will serve as a positive approach for improving crosswalk walking in patients with bilateral hip arthroplasty.

  • Since the beginning of 2015, corporate social responsibility (CSR) models have been changing in connection with the trend towards the transition of joint value creation of corporate activities and consideration of stakeholders' interests. The purpose of the academic paper lies in empirically studying the current practice of social responsibility of transnational corporations (TNCs). The research methodology has combined the method of qualitative analysis, the method of cases of agricultural holdings in emerging markets within the framework of resource theory, institutional theory and stakeholders' theory. The results show that the practice of CSR is integrated into the strategy of sustainable development of TNCs, which determine the methods, techniques and forms of communication, as well as areas of stakeholders' responsibility. The internal practice of CSR is aimed at developing norms and standards of moral behaviour with stakeholders in order to maximize economic and social goals. Economic goals are focused not only on making a profit, but also on minimizing costs due to the potential risks of corruption, fraud, conflict of interest. The system of corporate social responsibility of modern TNCs is clearly regulated by internal documents that define the list of interested parties and stakeholders, their areas of responsibility, greatly simplifying the processes of cooperation and responsibility. As a result, corporations form their own internal institutional environment. Ethical norms help to avoid the risks of opportunistic behaviour of personnel, conflicts of interest, cases of bribery, corruption, and fraud. The theoretical value of the research lies in supplementing the theory of CSR in the context of the importance of a complex, systematic approach to integrating the theory of resources, institutional theory, theory of stakeholders in the development of strategies for sustainable development of TNCs, the practice of corporate governance and social responsibility.

  • The two main types of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Currently, when IBD is suspected, CT enterography is widely used as an initial imaging test because it can evaluate both the bowel wall and the outside of the bowel, helping to differentiate IBD from other diseases. When IBD is suspected, it is necessary to distinguish between Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. In most cases this is not difficult; however, in some cases, it is difficult and such cases are called IBD-unclassified. CT findings are often non-specific for ulcerative colitis, making it difficult to differentiate it from other diseases using imaging alone. In contrast, characteristic CT findings for Crohn's disease are often helpful in diagnosis, although diseases, such as tuberculous enteritis can mimic Crohn's disease. Recently, mutations in the gene encoding a prostaglandin transporter called SLCO2A1 have been discovered as the cause of the disease in some patients with multiple ulcers and strictures, similar to Crohn's disease. Therefore, genetic testing is being used to make a differential diagnosis.
