This study attempted to classify the residents of rural area into some groups according to the level of their community satisfaction by decision tree model. The variable that has the greatest influence on grouping rural residents according to community satisfaction is income. However, it appears that the variable of participating in the community activities can weaken their influences. The second most satisfying group is the group of people who are lower-income and active in community activities. On the other hand, the group of people who are high-income and inactive in community activities are included to unsatisfying groups. These findings suggest that community participation can be a major factor in enhancing the quality of life of residents in the rural communities. What is noteworthy is that marital status is used as a major variable to classify the rural residents into some groups according to the level of community satisfaction. This suggests that the issue of marriage is still a major problem in rural communities.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical nursing competence and self-efficacy of 4th and 2nd semester nursing college students who completed most of the performance-based nursing education curriculum. It was attempted to develop competency evaluation and competency-based curriculum. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, $scheff{\bar{e}}$ test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and Stepwise multiple regression in SPSS WIN 24.0 program. The findings of this study were as follows. 1) The knowledge level of essential basic nursing skills received a score of 88.95. The overall average score of clinical performance was 3.15 out of 5. The mean score of self-efficacy was $4.14{\pm}0.57$ points on 6 points 2) Among the general characteristics of subjects, 'motivation of major selection' and 'satisfaction of practice time' differed in the knowledge of essential basic nursing skills, 'religion' and 'health status' differed in clinical performance ability and 'interpersonal relationship', 'motivation of major selection', 'major satisfaction', 'satisfaction of practice time', 'nursing satisfaction', 'desired working period' and 'average rating' differed in self-efficacy. 3) The self-efficacy showed a significant positive correlation with the clinical nursing competency including the knowledge of essential basic nursing skills and clinical performance ability. The nursing satisfaction, clinical performance ability, the knowledge of essential basic nursing skills, interpersonal relationship and average rating influenced significantly and explained 23.7% of the subjects' self-efficacy.

This study investigates significant factors regarding college freshman engineering students and analyses each factors influence on student satisfaction in the College of Engineering core curriculum. We carried out a survey targeting 505 students who completed their fundamental education for major course learning in the 2011 academic year while attending one college in Gwangju and ruled out inadequate respondents. A total sample size 437 students were analyzed. The seven independent variables are academic fees, academic term period, academic environment of the classroom, learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity and student need for the program. The dependent variable is fundamental education satisfaction level. As a result of multiple regression analysis, the following factors were found to be significant in the following order: learning material content, time of lecture, student sincerity, student need for the program, academic fees and academic environment of the classroom. On the other side academic term period was not significant. For improving fundamental education satisfaction, there is a need for prudent consideration regarding learning material development and lecture times. Also further investigation should take place for policies necessary for increasing learner motivation and sincerity, and expand appropriate conditions for learners to become self-aware of the education they need within their major.

Background: This study investigatedthe factors influencing the degree of education in the Department of Dental Hygiene at K University on the degree of education required for a convergence major related to the medical device industry. Methods: For 5 days from December 5, 2023, 257 students of the Department of Dental Hygiene at a university in Wonju Citywere surveyed, and an online survey was conducted. General characteristics, school satisfaction, satisfaction with majors, perceptions of multi-majors in universities, and the degree of demand for a convergence major related to the medical device industry were examined. Since normality was not satisfied, non-parametric analysis was performed. To confirm the differences in convergence major related to medical device industry education needs according to general characteristics, the Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test were performed. Post-hoc analysis was performed, and the median, minimum, and maximum values were presented. Multiple regression analysis was performed to confirm the effect on the demand for a convergence major related to the medical device industry, and the statistical significance probability was set at 0.05. Results: As a result of examining the factors affecting the demand for a convergence major related to the medical device industry, it was found that the more experience one has in completing a double major in college (p<0.05) and the higher the degree of satisfaction with the major (p<0.05), the statistically significant need for an interdisciplinary major was higher(p<0.05).

This study investigates the relationship among major satisfaction, self-esteem and nursing professionalism of the students majoring in nursing. The purpose of this paper is to seek the movement of the direction of nursing education in order to improve the formulation, major satisfaction, and self-esteem of the nursing professionalism for the nursing students. This study provides you with the survey conducted among 195 people attending and nursing students as a correlation research. Data collection period was from October 1, 2014 to October 31, and Data were analyzed by t-values. Correlation coefficient using the SPSS Program 18.0. Major satisfaction and self-esteem of the nursing college students shows a correlation between net. Therefore, development and application of educational programs have to be necessary to improve the nursing students' self-esteem and a desirable professional intuition.

This study was done to identify the relationship of Major satisfaction, employment stress, depression and to identify the factors influencing depression for 196 College Students who agreed to participate in the study. Date were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression with SPSS 18.0. A negative correlation was found between major satisfaction and depression, positive correlation was found between employment stress and depression. The predicting factors for depression were major satisfaction and employment stress. Those factors accounted for 26.0% of depression. The fallow-up survey about various factors influencing college student's depression is needed and prevent depression program for developing depression are controled.

This study is a comparative study before and after a single group to identify the effect of convergence class operation on the self-directed learning ability, problem-solving ability and major satisfaction of nursing students in the social-tailored curriculum. The survey was conducted on 79 nursing students from C University. Self-directed learning ability, problem-solving ability and major satisfaction level have been improved since application before applying convergence class. Through this study, we hope to open and operate various curricula in nursing colleges that meet the needs of the community, provide students with various opportunities, cultivate self-directed learning skills, problem-solving skills, and major satisfaction so that learners can solve problems themselves in order to maximize their effects, and develop various contents in the university.

The aim of this study was to identify a variables that can affect Commitment to a Career Choice focusing mainly on the satisfaction with one's major in college and personal agency beliefs. This research carried out a survey on a total of 626 students at 4-year public and private university. The information is processed using the SPSSWIN19.0 program, which carried out frequency analysis, reliability measurement, one-way ANOVA, linear regression analysis, multiple moderating regression analysis, and three-step mediate regression analysis. The results of this study showed that groups showing greater satisfaction with their major had a higher level of commitment to a career choice. Personal beliefs was one thing that can achieve partial mediation or complete mediation when it comes to the relationship between the satisfaction of their major and commitment to a career choice.

This study was conducted to develop and test effects of E-book based Flipped Learning education for nursing students. This study was one-group pretest-posttest design. The data were collected from 54 second-year nursing students in the located Y city and August 28 2017 to October 16 2017. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, paired t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS 20.0 program. The results showed that the program was effective in increasing the critical thinking disposition (t=-8.62, p<.001), academic self-efficacy (t=-9.62, p<.001) and major satisfaction (t=-8.11, p<.001). The result of the stepwise multiple regression indicates the critical thinking disposition predict 13.4% (F=9.22, p<.001) of major satisfaction. Therefore, strategies for enhancing critical thinking disposition is needed by applying various teaching and learning strategies for nursing students.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship among gender role conflict, military service planing and major satisfaction of male nursing students. Data were collected from October to December, 2018 and a total of 159 male nursing students participated in this study. The results showed that the gender role conflict was 2.75±0.62, the military service planing was 4.99±1.30, and the major satisfaction was 3.90±0.58. Gender role conflict, military service planing and major satisfaction have no significant correlation. This is inconsistent with the preceding study and requires replication study. Also it is necessary to develop an arbitration program that can form positive relationships with girls in order to reduce gender role conflict among male nursing students.
