  • In the present work, a solar assisted heat pump (SAHP) system with a hybrid collector was analyzed. For this, a simplified thermodynamic model was developed. Based on the proposed model, the heat transfer rate, COP, and the annual operating hour of the SAHP system were estimated. The effect of the variation of system design parameters on the performance of the system was also examined. From the results, the performance was improved with increasing the effectiveness of heat exchangers and decreasing the difference between the evaporation temperature and the outlet brine temperature of the hybrid collector loop. Finally, the performance of SAHP system with a hybrid collector was compared with that of conventional serial and parallel SAHP systems. The SAHP system with a hybrid collector was substantially better than a series system and slightly worse than a parallel system for both the yearly averaged heat transfer rate and COP. However, the annual operating hour of the SAHP system with a hybrid collector was much better than that of a parallel system.

  • 세베소지침이 제정된 후 1989년 유럽통합규격(European standard)이 만들어지고 기계지침(The machinery directive)도 완성되었다 이 기계지침은 1993년까지 수정, 보완되어 이중 기계류의 안전성(Safety of machinery)을 초안으로 하는 기계안전의 국제규격제정이 가시화되고 있다는 것이다. ISO(국제표준화기구, International Organization for Standardization)는 1991년 기술위원회 ISO/TC(Technical Committee)가 설치하고 기계안전에 관한 유럽통합규격인 EN292(현재는 EN292-1)를 ISO12100(현재는 ISO/CD12100-1)으로, 위험성평가(Risk Assessment)에서는 EN1050을 ISO14121로, 제어시스템의 안전관련부분에서는 EN954를 ISO13849로 국제표준화하는 작업을 진행하고 있다.(중략)

  • Tractors are used for farming in harsh terrain such as slopes with slippery fields and steep passages. In these potentially dangerous terrain, steering instability caused by bouncing and sliding can lead to tractor rollover accidents. The center of gravity changes as parts such as engines and transmissions used in existing internal combustion engine tractors are replaced by motors and batteries, and the risk of conduction must be newly considered accordingly. The purpose of this study was to derive the center of gravity of a 55 kW class electric tractor using an electric platform from an existing internal combustion engine tractor, and to numerically investigate the tractor steering instability due to bouncing and sliding. The analysis provides a strong analysis by integrating an elaborate combination of a bouncing model and a sliding model based on Coulomb's theory of friction. Various parameters such as tractor speed, static coefficient of friction, bump length and radius of rotation are carefully analyzed through a series of detailed designs. In particular, the simulation results show that the cornering force is significantly reduced, resulting in unintended trajectory deviations. By considering such complexity, this study aims to secure optimal performance and safety in the challenging terrain within the agricultural landscape by providing valuable insights to improve tractor safety measures.

  • 심해 유인 잠수정과 같은 제한된 공간 내에서 다수의 작업자가 장시간 거주하며 작업을 수행하기 위해서는 거주구 관측창 위치 및 기타 운영설비 배치에 있어 인체공학적 설계가 고려되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 구조안전성 평가와 최적설계로 도출된 심해 유인 잠수정의 내압구조 셀 설계안을 대상으로 거주구 관측창 배치를 위한 인체공학적 설계 검토에 대하여 소개한다. 관측창 배치는 작업자 선내 위치, 관측 시야 확보, 편안하고 안전한 작업 여부 등의 다양한 요인과 함께 구조 안전성과 제작성 등이 동시에 고려되어야 한다. 국외 심해 잠수정 개발에서 적용된 인체공학적 설계 관련연구를 소개하고 디지털 휴먼 모델링 S/W인 Santos Engine을 활용한 인체공학적 설계 검토에 대하여 소개한다.

Effects of PTO gear face width on safety factors

  • Gears are components of transmission which transmit the power of an engine to a machine and offer numerous speed ratios, a compact structure, and high efficiency of power transmission. Gear train design in the automotive industry uses simulation software. However, PTO (Power Take-Off) gear design for agricultural applications uses the empirical method because of the wide range of load fluctuations in agricultural fields. The PTO is an important part of agricultural tractors which transmits the power to various tractor implements. Therefore, a simulation was essential to the optimal design of the PTO. When the PTO gear is optimally designed, there are many advantages such as low cost, reduced size, and light weight. In this study, we conducted the bending and contact safety factor simulation for the PTO gear of an agricultural tractor. The bending and contact safety factors were calculated on ISO 6336 : 2006 by decreasing the face widths of the PTO pinion and wheel gear from 18 mm at an interval of 1 mm. The safety factor of the PTO gear decreased as the face width decreased. The contact safety factors of the pinion and wheel gear were 1.45 and 1.53, respectively, when the face width was 18 mm. The simulation results showed that the face width of the PTO gear should be greater than 9 mm to maintain the bending and contact safety factors higher than 1. It would be possible to reduce the weight of the PTO gear for different uses and working conditions. This study suggests that the possibility of designing an optimal PTO gear decreases as its face width decreases.

철도건설현장 건설기계 재해사례 및 실태분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Accident Case and Analysis on the Actual Condition of Construction Machinery in Railroad Construction Sites)

  • Recently, railroad's preference greatly increased as the environment-friendly means of transportation as the importance in the aspects of environment and energy efficiency. So the government established the Korea Rail Network Authority which takes full charge of railroad construction in 20047 for regular railroad construction to combine major key points in the whole country with each other to be one city region by connecting them to each other to be within the commute time range of a hour and thirty minutes. And it has arranged large-scale railroad construction by establishing plans to build the 1st and 2nd national railroad networks as the national project and investing about 100 trillion won in it from 2006 to 2020. As large-scale railroad construction is promoted as the national project like this, there has been a string of safety accidents in it due to the large and complex construction project. As the government strengthened the safety accident prevention plans, safety accidents have tended to decrease in 2011. However, accidents of construction machinery have found to increase. Therefore, this study tried to investigate accident cases of the Korea Rail Network Authority for the recent 5 years and analyze accidents of construction machinery to prevent them in railroad construction sites and suggest accident prevention plans due to it by conducting, investigating, and analyzing the survey of its operators and superintendents of the construction sites and drawing the problems.

Determination of safety factor for agricultural gear reducer using simulation software

  • Agricultural gear reducers are used in a variety of agricultural machinery designs such as in agricultural tractors and transport cars, and even greenhouses. For greenhouses, a gear reducer is used to control windows on the side and the roof. Gear reducers for agricultural applications are designed using the empirical method because of the lack of a standard for experimentation. Simulation is necessary for the optimal design of an agricultural gear reducer. There are many advantages to this optimization such as low-cost maintenance, reduced size, and weight. In this study, bending and contact safety factor simulation for the gear reducer of a greenhouse was conducted by decreasing the face widths of helical gear shaft 2 and shaft 3 from 30.8 and 30 mm, respectively, at an interval of 4 mm. The bending and contact safety factors were calculated using AGMA standard. Simulation results showed that bending and contact safety factors decreased rapidly when the face width of the helical gear on shaft 2 was 30 mm and the face width of helical gear on shaft 3 decreased from 30.8 mm to 26.8 mm, suggesting that it would be safe to reduce the face width of the helical gear on shaft 3 to 26.8 mm. The reduction of the face width also reduced the weight of the agricultural gear. This study suggests that the agricultural gear reducer safety factor decreases as the face width decreases.

원심식 압축기 구동용 모터 베이스 프레임의 콘크리트 타설에 따른 구조안전성 평가 (Structural Safety Assessment of a Concrete-filled Base Frame Supporting a Motor for Centrifugal Compressor Drives)

  • 본 논문에서는 원심식 대형 압축기 구동용 모터 베이스 프레임의 구조해석 및 콘크리트 타설에 따른 구조안전성 평가를 수행하였다. 먼저 모터 베이스 프레임에 적용되는 네 가지 하중조건에 따른 구조해석을 진행하고 최대 비틀림 에너지 이론 및 Mohr-Coulomb 이론을 통하여 구조안전성을 평가하였다. 구조해석 결과에서 취약한 구조안전성을 나타낸 연결부 등의 불연속적인 부분에서 발생하는 국부응력에 대하여 ASME VIII Div. 2에 따른 구조안전성 평가를 적용함으로써 좀 더 합리적으로 구조안전성 평가를 수행할 수 있었다. 또한, 모터 베이스 프레임 내부에 콘크리트 타설 및 미타설에 따른 구조해석 및 ASME 구조안전성 평가를 통하여 모터 베이스 프레임의 구조안전성을 정량적으로 비교하여 콘크리트 타설로 인한 구조 안전성의 향상을 확인하였다.

로봇 설치면 자세 변화에 대응 가능한 자중 보상 기반 안전 매니퓰레이터 (Safe Industrial Manipulator Based on a Counterbalancing Mechanism with Adaptation to the Posture Change of a Robot Base Plane)

  • Guaranteeing the safety of human workers around robots has become an important issue with the increasing demand for human-robot collaboration in industrial production lines. This study proposes a robot manipulator equipped with a counterbalancing mechanism that reduces the power of actuators required to drive the robot, thus keeping a human worker safer in a human-robot collaborative environment. A counterbalancing torque that exactly cancels out the gravitational torque in the proposed mechanism is generated by restoring the force of a spring in the counterbalancing mechanism. A prototype design and experimental results are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
