  • This paper presents a stability proof for the nonlinear feedback linearization-observer-based sliding mode model following controller (NFL-O-based SMMFC). The closed-loop stability is proved by a Lyapunov function candidate using an addition form of the sliding surface vector and the estimation error.

  • In this short note the characteristics of a nonlinear system of which the state trajectories are oscillating in the phase plane are overviewed. The physical concept of stuck and sliding patch phenomena are also introduced by adding some switching functions and their stability on the sliding patches are analyzed by using the Lyapunov stability theory and Frobenius theorem.

  • This paper focuses on the asymptotic stability of a class of neutral linear systems with mixed time-varying delay arguments. Using the Lyapunov method, a delay-dependent stability criterion to guarantee the asymptotic stability for the systems is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The LMIs can be easily solved by various convex optimization algorithms. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the proposed methods.

  • New Sufficient conditions for linear time varying systems to be asymptotically stable are presented by using the Lyapunov function approach. One is the generalized version of the previous result, and the other is obtained using the Lyapunov function theorem and matrix properties. Also we compare the presented results with the previous results with the previous results and provide examples to show the usefulness of our results.

  • In the present paper, the problem of stability analysis for linear systems with interval time-varying delays is considered. By introducing a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, new stability criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Two numerical examples are given to show the superiority of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, the problem of delay-dependent stability of uncertain stochastic systems with time-varying delay is considered. The uncertainties are assumed to be norm-bounded. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, new delay-dependent stability criteria for the system are derived in terms of LMI(linear matrix inequality). Two numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of proposed method.

  • In this paper, a decentralized adaptive controller is proposed to control robot manipulators which are governed by highly nonlinear dynamic equations. The controller is computationally efficient since it does not require mathematical model or parameter values of robot manipulators. The stability of the manipulators with the controller is proved by Lyapunov theory. The results of numerical simulations show that the system is stable, and has excellent trajectory tracking performance.

  • This paper deals with robust integral tracking control problem based on Lyapunov method via FL(Feedback Linearization) in order to solve a reference tracking problem of nonlinear system with parameter uncertainties. To overcome a restrictive matching condition the uncertainties is characterized in a suitable form. The design procedure which combine FL and LMIs(Linear Matrix Inequalities) based on Lyapunov method to achieve the robust performance and stability is developed. Finally, the performance of proposed controller is demonstrated via simulation of a linear reference tracking problem in the MLS(Magnetic levitating System).

  • This paper studies the global stability of a class of discrete-time pathogen infection models with latently infected cells. The rate of pathogens infect the susceptible cells is taken as bilinear, saturation and general. The continuous-time models are discretized by using nonstandard finite difference scheme. The basic and global properties of the models are established. The global stability analysis of the equilibria is performed using Lyapunov method. The theoretical results are illustrated by numerical simulations.

  • This paper traces the process of constructing a new one-dimensional chaotic map, and will provide a simple application in color image encryption. The use of Sarkovskii's theorem will make it possible to determine the existence of chaos and restrict all conditions to ensure the existence of this new sequence. In addition, the sensitivity to initial conditions will be proved by Lyapunov's index value. Similarly, the performance of this new chaotic map will be illustrated graphically and compared with other chaotic maps most commonly used in cryptography. Finally, a humble color image encryption application will show the power of this new chaotic map.
