In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of six waterfront users who are currently being used to select indicators for waterfront development. It can be classified into urban type, inland type and coast type according to the place where waterfront space is located. These waterfront design elements include accessibility, public activity, and waterfront characteristics. Waterfront environment involves selecting the elements for considered and examined these with resepect to the goals of the study. In terms of accessibility to most waterfronts, it is analyzed that users who are located within 30 minutes' distance of walking are most likely to use it. As shown in the satisfaction survey of this study, the unsatisfactory satisfaction of water quality and quantity was found to be low in Unam pond, and the result shows that the overall satisfaction of waterfront space is also low. In the case of Chunggye Chun, the results of the survey on weekdays showed that the office workers, such as the offices located in the surrounding area, were mainly resting places. In the case of Naesungchun, it is possible to select the indicators that can help the direction of the festival as a survey on the users during the festival period. In this study, waterfront location, purpose of use, characteristics, environment, and subdivision are presented as indicators to be considered when developing the waterfront. It is expected that the proposed indicators will be able to determine the direction of development by reflecting characteristics of users.
The design of an intelligent toothbrush, capable of monitoring brushing motion, orientation through the grip axis, during toothbrushing is described. Inappropriate Toothbrushing styles, even in adults, sometimes cause dental problems, cavities, gingivitis, etc. This smart system provides user to monitor his or her brushing pattern using accelerometer and magnetic sensors for evaluation of toothbrushing style. Directional information of toothbrush with respect to earth's magnetic field and activity data were measured by a miniaturized low-power micro- controller, MSP430 and transmitted to personal computer by 2.4GHz radio transmitter, nRF2401. A personal computer provides an on-line display of activity and orientation measurements during toothbrushing. The signal trace is then analyzed to extract clinically relevant measurement. This preliminary study showed that the proposed monitoring system was conceived to aid dental care personnel in patient education and instruction in oral hygiene regarding brushing style.
This study aimed to investigate effects of peer feedback types and feedback acceptance levels on academic achievement in project-based learning. The participants were 70 middle-school students taking an English course. They were divided into corrective and suggestive feedback groups. These participants were asked to create user-created content (UCC) as an individual task and provide peer feedback on a peer's UCC in the same type of feedback group. Results showed that there were significant differences in academic achievement according to peer feedback types (corrective vs. suggestive) and feedback acceptance levels (high vs. low). In particular, the suggestive peer feedback group had higher academic achievement than the corrective peer feedback group. Moreover, the group with a high level of feedback acceptance gained higher academic achievement than the group with a low level of feedback acceptance. Moreover, there was an interaction effect between peer feedback types and feedback acceptance on academic achievement. These results indicate that peer feedback types and feedback acceptance should be considered for effective peer feedback activity. These findings provide practical implications for the design and implementation of peer feedback activity in project-based learning.

In this paper, CPLD low power technology mapping using reuse module selection under the time constraint is proposed. Traditional high-level synthesis do not allow reuse of complex, realistic datapath component during the task of scheduling. On the other hand, the proposed algorithm is able to approach a productivity of the design the low power to reuse which given a library of user-defined datapath component and to share of resource sharing on the switching activity in a shared resource Also, we are obtainable the optimal the scheduling result in experimental results of our using chaining and multi-cycling in the scheduling techniques. Low power circuit make using CPLD technology mapping algorithm for selection reuse module by scheduling.
Inconveniences which might arise in transmitting measured biological data based on cable protocols generally are recognized critical points in tele-monitoring environment and also restrict the mobility of the user. a. Especially, activity monitoring which is importantly recognized as a core parameter in ubiquitous healthcare arena and weight management, pervasive and wireless measuring technology is most needed. In this paper, we would like to suggest lower power, miniaturized communication system in order to solve the above problems. The suggested system is powered by small coin-size battery. Also, The suggested system is compared with a blue-tooth module which is generally available in the commercial market. Even though, the suggested system didn't have higher transmission rate, its low power consumption make the suggested system would be feasible in ubiquitous monitoring of biological signals in ubiquitous healthcare arena.

Context-aware mobile cloud computing is a new promising paradigm that allows to improve user experience by analyzing contextual information such as user location, time of the day, neighboring devices and current activity. In this paper we provide performance study of context-aware mobile cloud computing system with Volare middleware. Volare monitors the resources and context of the device. and dynamically adapts cloud service requests accordingly, at discovery time or at runtime. This approach allows for more resource-efficient and reliable cloud service discovery, as well as significant cost savings at runtime. We also have studied the performance of context-aware mobile cloud computing for different quality of service (QoS) adaptation policies. Our simulations results show that when battery level is low and CPU usage is high and user cannot maintain the initial QoS, service cost is decreased according to current adaptation policy. In conclusion, the current adaptation policy suggested in this paper may improve user experience by providing a dynamically adapted service cost according to a situation.

The guarantee of transportation for elderly and handicapped people is increasingly necessary owing to their growing social and economic activity. In March of 2013, a partial amendment to the law for transportation of the vulnerable was made by the government, to make more convenient transport a legal requirement. The amendment describes standards for the installation of transport facilities, and its support available. However, the adjustment of low-floor bus routes is not included. Therefore, low-floor buses are operating without consideration for the handicapped. This study evaluates the current low-floor bus system user experience by considering the residential distribution of vulnerable customers and analyzing their reasons for using public transport. As a result of this work, adjustments to current bus routes are proposed. The residential distribution of vulnerable people has been assessed using the supporting materials of the urban renewal project in Busan City, and their reasons for using public transport have been collected by a survey of the target user groups. The results show that group A, which has good accessibility, was in high demand, but provided the most limited service. Whereas group C, which also has good accessibility but was in low demand, provided its service most frequently. The data show the supply and demand inconsistencies of low-floor buses, and the inefficiency of bus route allocation. Therefore, this study proposes improvements to current methods for the effective operation of low-floor buses.
Development of various sensors attached to mobile and wearable devices has led to increasing recognition of current context-based service to the user. In this study, we proposed a probabilistic model for recognizing user's food intake context, which can occur in a great variety of contexts. The model uses low-level sensor data from mobile and wrist-wearable devices that can be widely available in daily life. To cope with innate complexity and fuzziness in high-level activities like food intake, a context model represents the relevant contexts systematically based on 4 components of activity theory and 5 W's, and tree-structured Bayesian network recognizes the probabilistic state. To verify the proposed method, we collected 383 minutes of data from 4 people in a week and found that the proposed method outperforms the conventional machine learning methods in accuracy (93.21%). Also, we conducted a scenario-based test and investigated the effect contribution of individual components for recognition.
This study is to examine the section-based stream management with environmental characteristics and user monitoring. In Jeonjucheon, upstream section located near to Jeonju Hanok village has very good water quality and natural stream landscape. In case of mid/down streams, water quality is good and heavy concentration of facility leads to high use rates of these sections. The questionnaire consists of 5 parts: user characteristics, use behavior, citizen participation, importance rank, and Importance-Satisfaction(IS). 383 out of 454 responses with listwise deletion are used for demographic analysis and IS Analysis. In terms of citizen participation through 'ecological experience activity' and 'stream stewardship activity', 'occasional participation' shows the average of 78% in all three sections. For importance rank, the results arranged in order of priority show 'water quality' > 'green corridor' > 'trail' in up/down streams and 'water quality' > 'vegetation management' > 'trail' in midstream. Therefore, 'water quality' appears to be the most important variable among 13 variables. At last, the results of ISA indicate that all 10 variables need to be improved as satisfaction is lower than importance. In addition, 'plant management' variable falls into 'concentrate here' quadrant where importance is high and satisfaction is low.
Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the validity of the 'Enterprise Health Promotion Index', a tool for assessing health promotion activities of worksite developed by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Methods: This is designed a methodological study that evaluates the validity of the Enterprise Health Promotion Index. For this study, a questionnaire survey was conducted for the workplace health professional and safety professional, and a total of 297 data were extracted as final data. We developed the informal health promotion needs and activity measurement tools. The correlation coefficient between the score of the enterprise health promotion index and the score of the informal health promotion tool was analyzed for the criterion validity evaluation. Results: The criterion validity of the Enterprise Health Promotion Index and activity index were supported by finding moderate (r=.597) and high (r=.783) correlation coefficient. However, the requirement index has low levels of criterion validity (r=.364). Conclusion: Based on these results, we suggest to improve the utility of the corporate health promotion index by developing user manual, active public relations, and providing briefing sessions.
