The Effect of Tik Tok Users' Love Types on Love Videos' Motivation and User Satisfaction (틱톡(Tik Tok) 이용자의 연애유형이 연애 동영상의 이용 동기, 이용 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • Based on the love styles theory used in psychology, this paper classifies users(Passionate Love, Game-playing Love, Friendship Love, Practical Love, Possessive Love, Altruistic Love) and investigates satisfaction with the motivation for using TikTok love videos(Entertainment, Social Relationship, Love skills-learning, Self-verification, Problem-solving) according to the theory of use and satisfaction. First, 414 users were selected to conduct TikTok surveys to collect data. Then, through the analysis of the research results, among the six love types, game-playing type and possessive type have a positive (+) impact on entertainment motivation and love skill-learning motivation. Game-playing type also have a positive (+) impact on social relationship motivation and self-verification motivation. In addition, altruistic type and possessive type are also factors to strengthen the motivation of self-verification. The altruistic type, possessive type and practical type will improve the problem-solving motivation. Finally, through hierarchial multiple regression analysis, it is confirmed that game-playing love type, entertainment motivation, love skill-learning motivation and self-verification motivation can improve user satisfaction. The above results enrich the research of user classification as well as providing inspiration for improving the quality and communication efficiency of TikTok's video and enhancing user experience.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the gender and self-development in love among single and married men and women. This study applies qualitative case study to make sense of the structure and the meanings of love experience associated with traditional gender role independence and interdependence,. This method focuses on the experiences and the meanings of love as understood by interviewees. Interview data used for this study were collected through in -depth interviews of 18 interviewees. The subjects were chosen from lower class and middle class men and women who lived in Soul. Major findings of this study were as follows; First it was found that there is the romantic ideologies of love and that women are responsible for their love relationships. This could be called " the feminization of love" Second feminized love was related to split gender role and caused to its costs for men and women especially conflict over intimacy. third even though there was still feminized love the trend to androgynouis love was found Androgynous love provided an alternative based on interdependence and the integration of love and self-development.velopment.

From Cleansed to Crave: The Paradox of 'Cruelty' and Love in Sarah Kane (『정화』에서 『갈망』으로 -사라 케인의 '잔혹'과 사랑의 역설)

  • Despite the ubiquity of love in the work of Sarah Kane, the theme has been overshadowed by the violence that characterizes her early plays. This essay differentiates Kane from her contemporary "in-yer-face" playwrights, arguing that violence in Kane operates as a means of securing love. Antonin Artaud's concept of cruelty, often (mis)understood in a physical sense alone, provides a clue to the nature of Kane's violence and its relation to love. The essay focuses on Cleansed and Crave, both written in 1998, one about love's redemptive possibility, the other about its pure impossibility. What makes Cleansed hopeful is its violence that works as love's obstacle, creating the illusion that once it is removed love would be possible. The absence of violence in Crave on the contrary lays the illusion of love bare, making it Kane's most despairing play. Kane's oeuvre draws a trajectory of love from hope to despair; as a whole it stages the impossibility of love. To love the other requires the relinquishing of the self, making love logically impossible by depriving the verb of its subject. Love, if possible, would offer the bliss of unity, tearing out the constraint of the Symbolic Order. Kane's only alternative is death, as is expressed in Crave and 4.48 Psychosis.

The Effects of Romantic Beliefs on Motivation of Marriage Among College Students (대학생의 낭만적 신념이 결혼 동기에 미치는 영향)

  • This experiment was conducted in order to examine what consists of romantic beliefs of college students, the overall tendency of the beliefs and motivation of marriage, the differences in the belief and motivation of marriage, and the influence of the beliefs toward it. A survey method was used and 394 students participated in this study. The major results of this study were as follows: First of all, there are four components in students' romantic beliefs, which are almighty love, destined love, hopes for romantic love, and only one & true love. Second of all, the students somewhat showed high level of romantic beliefs. This resulted due to the high level of romantic love but low level of only one & true love. Moreover, their motivations toward marriage which consists of intimacy and economic needs, were seen as the most important values in determining marriage. However, marriage due to social impact and the needs for personal growth were found to be placed in the lowest. Thirdly, male students in particular, showed higher beliefs in almighty love and destined love. The students of religion reported higher beliefs in destined love and only one & true love. Moreover, students who have a partner also showed higher beliefs in almighty love and only one & true love. On the other hand, for motivation of marriage, students showed higher inclination to choose for the desire for large families and children as their motivations, particularly for males. Students in the lower age group also showed higher inclination to choose for intimacy and economic needs as their motivations. Finally, according to the result of the hierarchical regression analysis, the higher the students' beliefs for destined love and the lower it is for hopes for romantic love, predicted higher possibility for the social impact and the needs for personal growth as their motivation of marriage. Moreover, the higher the belief for destined love and hopes for romantic love, the higher it is of their inclination to consider intimacy and economic needs for their motivation of marriage. Lastly, the higher it is for the students' belief toward almighty love, the higher it is for one to marry with a consideration and desire for large families with children.

A Truth about 'Deformed' Love in Carson McCullers' The Ballad of the Sad Cafe (카슨 매컬러스의 '불구적' 사랑에 관한 통찰 -『슬픈 카페의 노래』를 중심으로)

  • This paper aims to examine a truth about love - the close relationship between a person's passionate love and that same person's loneliness and suppressed desires, a relationship that Carson McCullers (1917-1967) portrays in The Ballad of the Sad Cafe. McCullers, one of several brilliant writers from Southern America, managed to overcome her cruel situation and showed deep insight into the human condition, particularly in regard to the relation between love and isolation. The Ballad of the Sad Cafe, like her other works, examines the spiritual isolation and the agony of love that three lovers experience. The love in this story is a triangular relationship among the three main characters, Amelia, Lymon and Marvin Macy. The distinctive characteristics of love described in this story are that each character falls into blind and passionate love for the person he/she loves, no matter how the beloved responds. Love also changes the lover, not the beloved, revealing the completely opposite nature of the lover. The opposite nature and the inner secrets that the love reveals about the lovers reflect their frustrated and suppressed desires, which is femininity and motherhood for Amelia, non-violent masculine power for Macy, and physical attraction and power for the hunchback, Lymon. These suppressed desires are rooted in the deep sense of frustration that they had to experience in their childhood. In short, the seemingly unconditional love of the main characters is not an ideal, altruistic love, but a reflection of their inner desires. This story, however, does not seem to criticize this kind of love but simply tries to give an honest picture of what love might be. It also admits that 'deformed' love is still better than no love (and consequently no stimulus) because what really damages and causes decay in human beings and in a community, is the state of boredom.

Intimacy passion and commitment in marriage among Korean people: A test of the triangular theory of love (Sternberg 의 사랑의 삼각이론의 한국부부에의 적용)

  • The predictions derived from Sternberg's triangular theory of love were tested in order to explain the love relationships in marriage among Korean people. We were first interested in whether the subjective love experiences of respondents could be characterized by three components: intimacy passion and commitment we then attempted to examine the time course of each component as the marital relationships continued. 16897 married men and women were asked to complete the questionnaire including the love scale developed by researchers based on Sernberg's and other researchers' work. The results are as follows: First the love experienced by Korean men and women in their marriage can be classified by 3 dimensions: intimacy passion and commitment. Secon intimacy is the most powerful indicator of love in marital rlationships follows bgy passion and commitment. Third each of the 3 dimensions of marital love showed a U-shaped pattern as the marriage continued. Fourth commitment was more table than the other 2 dimensions throughout the marriage. The resultso f the study showed that Sternberg's triangular theory of love is useful to explain the marital love among Korean people.

  • Which will have a greater impact on life, love or art? We will focus on Hyang-ryun An, a genius singer. There was a genius singer who was recognized by many people in the world of Korean music. It is said that genius is short-lived, and so is the case of Hyang-ryun An. However, it is a pity that her short life was not caused by artistic anguish and conflict, but by her miserable love. For the poor artist, the patron was a force to sustain her artistic career, but for her, love with the person who fit her will was more important. Although poor and troubled, she wanted a fiery love that shared her temperament. Therefore, in the case of Hyang-ryun An, art was long, but love had a terribly short and deadly power. In the end, a love that goes astray drops a genius artist, dangerous love became the triumph of permanent immutable art.

The Influence of Love versus Lust on Consumer Judgments

  • According to previous literature, love involves a feeling of emotional bonds, attachment, and commitment to a specific target from a long-term perspective. In contrast, lust is defined as a sexual desire to engage in sexual activities from a short-term perspective. This research investigates the influence of feelings of love or lust on consumers' long-term benefit-seeking and risk-taking behaviors. Study 1 examined whether consumers' long-term benefit-seeking behaviors depend on feelings of love or lust. As a result, consumers who experienced feelings of love were more likely to prefer products that provide long-term benefits (e.g., a hybrid car) than those who experienced feelings of lust. Study 2 investigated consumers' risk-taking behaviors, depending on feelings of love or lust. The results showed that consumers in the lust condition were more willing to take a risk (e.g., a trip to a hazardous area) than those in the love condition. Taken together, this research demonstrates that consumers' long-term benefit-seeking and risk-taking behaviors depend on feelings of love or lust. Practical and theoretical implications are further discussed.

  • This study aims to analyze what Saul Bellow wants to define "Love" in his recent work, More Die of Heartbreak. As a humanist, Saul Bellow is concerned about materialism in Post-modern age through his works. Today there are so many people that are hurt by the failure of love or experience heartbreak. We need to sense invisible danger all around us. We can find Bellovian love in More Die of Heartbreak. Bellow suggests that there should be "true love" between people, especially between men and women. But Kenneth Trachtenberg and Benn Crader have selfish and materialistic love. Kenneth had only a sensual desire for Treckie who is his daughter's mother. He cannot persuade Treckie to marry him. Benn, a middle-aged widower, peremptorily marries Matilda Layamon who is much younger than he. Unfortunately, the marriage brings him neither peace nor love. Benn recognizes his wrong conception of love through the death of Mrs. Bedell and Villitzer, and breaking off a marriage with Matilda. He decides to go to Antarctica. This is not an escape. This is his determination to save himself. At the North Pole he sets out to recover his gift of vision and redeem his fall from grace. He will desert his materialistic and absurd self. After the expedition, he will experience rebirth as an authentic human being who has acceptable eyes. Kenneth and Benn learn to conceive of love as one of man's strongest inner energies, for it is through love that you can penetrate to the essence of human being. In this study I try to define Bellovian love. In More Die of Heartbreak, love is a spiritual power that may even transfigure man.

  • This study aims to identify a new direction in the consumer-brand relationship by quantitatively approaching from the psychological aspect consumers' brand love, which is the most powerful strategic element in forming an emotional consumer-brand relationship. What significance does brand love have in a consumer-brand relationship? Brand love is the most fundamental in the emotional consumer-brand relationship. Through brand ownership, consumers add meaning to their lives, and love brands by expressing themselves. Love is a scale that understands consumer-brand relationship from the most interpersonal aspect and can be considered as the most essential element in an empathetic relationship. Consumers' brand love not only determines brand image and reliability but through brand loyalty, it also influences market competitiveness. In addition, as a medium that can overcome brand crisis, it serves as a turning point of the relationship and can enhance the strength of consumers' brand love. Under such generational and theoretical background, this study took a psychological approach on love in emotional consumer-brand relationship. Focusing on the most representative theory and classification of love, Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love, types of brand love were examined. 552 questionnaires were distributed through a survey with mobile phone service and product brands, and a factor analysis was conducted. Types of brand love revealed through the results of this study were very similar to Sternberg's types of love, and it was found that the types of brand love varied based on product category. It can be suggested that the concept of brand love is an important strategic idea in brand communication.
