The B3G network architecture by the connection of access network is divided into two forms:tightly-coupled networks and loosely-coupled networks. In this paper, we consider the loosely-coupled networks in the internetworking architecture of mobile network.

This paper compares two methods of GPS/INS integration ; tightly-coupled integration ana loosely-coupled integration. In the tightly -coupled method an integrated Kalman filter is designed to process raw GPS measurement data for state update and INS data for propagation. The loosely-coupled integration method uses the solution outputs from a stand-alone GPS receiver for update. The loosely-coupled method is simpler and can readily be applied to off-the-self receivers and sensors while the tightly-coupled integration requires access to raw measurement mechanism of the receiver. Simulation result show that the tightly-coupled integration system exhibits better performance and robustness than loosely-coupled integration method.

Multimedia conference systems are classified into the tightly coupled conference and the loosely-coupled conference, the former is a peer-to-peer-conference or multi-point-conference based un the ITU-T H.323 standard, and the latter is the H.332 standard extended from the ITU-T H.323 standard. Loosely-coupled conference based on the H.332 standard is composed of small participants with the capacity of the send-receive mode and large participants with the capacity of the receive-only mode. In the H.332 conference, a subject and a media type of the multimedia conference is pre-announced for conquest of the difficulty of capability negotiation, and used SDP of IETF for that. Therefore, the H.332-conference can conquer a defect of the H.323 multimedia conference scalability. This paper analyzes H.332 standard for the loosely-coupled conference and describes an implementation of the H.332 multimedia conference systems.

In this paper, shows a research in accordance with the design the implementation of the localization system for mobile robot using INS(Inertial Navigation System) and GPS(Global Positioning System). First, a Strapdown Inertial Navigation System : SDINS is designed and implemented for low speed walking robot, by modifying Inertial Navigation System which is widely used for rocket, airplane, ship and so on. In addition, thesis proposes the localization of robot with the method of loosely coupled method by using Kalman Filter with INS/GPS integrated system to utilize assumed position and steed data from GPS.

본 논문에서는 고주파 변압기 대신 무선 전력 전송 시스템을 적용해 양방향 전력 전송을 가능케 해주는 loosely coupled dual-active-bridge 컨버터에서, 코일 간 전송 효율을 높이기 위한 코일 형상 설계에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. 유한 요소법을 통해 여러 형태의 페라이트 코어에 대해 해석했다. 페라이트 코어 형태가 I-자 일 때 가장 높은 quality factor의 코일을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한, I-core의 ferrite plate의 크기에 따라 무선 전력 전송의 효율을 결정하는 코일의 coupling coefficient와 코일의 quality factor가 변하고 trade-off 관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 3cm의 air-gap에 대해 최대 효율을 가지는 코일 형상을 설계하여 시뮬레이션을 통해 97.8%의 코일간 전송효율을 얻었다.

B3G(Beyond 3 Generation) 망의 구조는 글로벌 로ald환경 구축을 위해서 3세대망인 UMTS와 WLAN의 각각의 장단점을 보완하여 통합한 것이다. 현재 B3G 망의 구조는 크게 loosely-coupled와 장기적 접근을 요구하는 tightly -coupled 방식으로 나눌 수 있다. Loosely-coupled 방식은 tightly-coupled 방식에 비해 독립적 확장이 가능하고 비교적 구현이 쉬우나 핸드오버의 지연으로 인한 패킷 손실과 서비스 끊김 등의 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이를 개선하기 위하여 HMIPv6의 MAP를 사용하여 UMTS와 WLAN의 인터네트워킹에 대한 수직적 핸드오버 프로시저를 제안한다. 각 단계별 총 지연시간을 통하여 블로킹 확률을 측정해 본 결과 제안된 HMIPv6를 사용한 방식이 기존의 MIPv6를 사용한 방식보다 성능이 우수함을 확인하였다.

Business collaboration can be achieved by message exchange between companies. Such an exchange method enables loosely coupled integration between heterogeneous organization, and Web service has been a popular technique for accomplishing it. This research focuses on the choreography standards extending Web Service, specifically WSCI, BPEL4WS, and BPML. We compare and analyze the standards in terms of functionality, expressiveness and so on.

The Smoothly Coupled Integration (SCI) proposed in this paper takes only the strength of loosely coupled integration and tightly coupled integration. Furthermore, 3G network and WiBro network, which are coupled with SCI, have independent architecture which supports mobility and seamless services by fast handoff. Computer simulation with the use of OPNET marked excellence in performance of smoothly coupled integration.
