  • Internet worm gives various while we paralyze the network and flow the information out damages. In this paper, I suggest the method to prevent this. This method detect internet worm in PC first. and present the method to do an automatic confrontation. This method detect a traffic foundation network scanning of internet worm which is the feature and accomplish the confrontation. This method stop the process to be infected at the internet worm and prevent that traffic is flowed out to the outside. and This method isolate the execution file to be infected at the internet worm and move at a specific location for organizing at the postmortem so that we could accomplish the investigation about internet worm. Such method is useful to the radiation detection indication and computation of unknown internet worm. therefore, Stable network operation is possible through this method.

  • This paper introduces a GP (Genetic Programming) based robust technique for the prediction of a heavy rain newsflash. The nature of prediction for precipitation is very complex, irregular and highly fluctuating. Especially, the prediction of heavy precipitation is very difficult. Because not only it depends on various elements, such as location, season, time and geographical features, but also the case data is rare. In order to provide a robust model for precipitation prediction, a nonlinear and symbolic regression method using GP is suggested. The remaining part of the study is to evaluate the performance of prediction for a heavy rain newsflash using a GP based nonlinear regression technique in Korean regions. Analysis of the feature selection is executed and various fitness functions are proposed to improve performances. The KLAPS data of 2006-2010 is used for training and the data of 2011 is adopted for verification.

  • In this paper, the real-time algorithm is proposed for automatic detection of the face and facial features. In the face region, we extracted eyes, nose, mouth and so forth. There are two methods to extract them; one is the method of using the location information of them, other is the method of using Gaussian second derivatives filters. This system have high speed and accuracy because the facial feature extraction is processed only by detected face region, not by whole image. There are some kinds of good experimental result for the proposed algorithm; high face detection rate of 95%, high speed of lower than 1sec. the reduction of illumination effect, and the compensation of face tilt.

  • A new electric coil design methodology using the notion of topology optimization is developed. The specific design problem in consideration is to find optimal coil configuration that maximizes the Lorentz force under given magnetic field. Topology optimization is usually formulated using the finite element method, but the novel feature of this method is that no such partial differential equation solver is employed during the whole optimization process. The proposed methodology allows the determination of not only coil shape but also the number of coil turns which is not possible to determine by any existing topology optimization concept and to perform single coil strand identification algorithm. The specific applications are made in the design of two-dimensional fine-pattern focusing coils of an optical pickup actuator. In this method, the concept of equivalent magnetizing current is utilized to calculate the Lorentz force, and the optimal coil configuration is obtained without any initial layout. The method is capable of generating the location and shape of turns of coil. To confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method in optical pickup applications, design problems involving multipolar permanent magnets are considered.

  • Vanishing point can be defined as a point generated by converged perspective lines, which are parallel in the real world. In this paper, we propose a real-time vanishing point detection algorithm using this fundamental feature of vanishing point. The existing methods 1) require high computational cost or 2) are restricted to specific image contents. The proposed method detects the vanishing point in images based on the block-wise HOG (Histogram of Oriented Gradient) descriptor. First, we compute the HOG descriptor in a block-wise manner, then estimate the location of the vanishing point using the proposed dynamic programing. Experiments are performed on diverse images to confirm the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • In recent years, pattern recognition methods have been widely used by many researchers for fault diagnoses of mechanical systems. The soundness of a mechanical system can be checked by analyzing the variation of the system vibration characteristic along with a pattern recognition method. Recently, the hidden Markov model has been widely used as a pattern recognition method in various fields. In this paper, the hidden Markov model is employed for the fault diagnosis of the mass unbalance of a rotating system. Mass unbalance is one of the critical faults in the rotating system. A procedure to identity the location and size of the mass unbalance is proposed and the accuracy of the procedure is validated through experiment.

  • Many researches on the typology of 'Maru' (Wooden deck) in Korean traditional houses have mainly focused on the high-class houses in the central region of Korea. They were mainly concerned on defining Maru's typology by social status of the owner, based on the researches regarding its physical and spatial properties. Maru in the high-class traditional houses has been served as an essential architectural feature showing the social status of owners as well as adapting in the region of humid and hot summer. This research investigated the typology of Maru's placement in traditional single houses of four Kan in Chonnam province, which shows many differences in its placement according to the regions. Research results show that the typology of Maru's placement and openness is different with the location of houses within the region. This difference affects on the circulation of movement, which eventually affects on the pattern of space use. The difference is also very likely to be affected by the natural environment of geography and climate of the region.

  • In this paper, we propose a query-based visual attention algorithm for effective object finding of a vision-based mobile robot. This algorithm is developed by extending conventional bottom-up visual attention algorithms. In our proposed algorithm various conspicuity maps are merged to make a saliency map, where weighting values are determined by query-dependent object properties. The saliency map is then used to find possible attentive location of queried object. To show the validities of our proposed algorithm, several objects are employed to compare performances of our proposed algorithm with those of conventional bottom-up approaches. Here, as one of exemplar query-dependent object property, color property is used.

  • In video image compression, it is important to extract the exact notion information from image sequence in order to perform the data compression, the field rate conversion, and the motion compensated interpolation effectively. It is well known that the location of the smallest sum of absolute difference(SAD) does not always give the true motion vector(MV) since the MV obtained via full block search is often corrupted by noise. In this paper, we first classifies the input blocks into 3 categories : the background, the shade-motion, and the edge-motion. According to the characteristics of the classified blocks, multiple locations of relatively small SAD are searched with an adaptive search window by using the proposed method. The proposed method picks MVs among those candidates by using temporal correlation. Since temporal correlation reveals the noise level in a particular region of the video image sequence, we are able to reduce the search are very effectively.
