  • In this study, the practical implementation process and performance of cooperation were analyzed by analyzing the cases of collaboration to resolve conflicts related to the installation of military facilities in the cultural heritage protection zone in P city. In addition, through this, factors affecting collaboration were derived. The collaboration case within the cultural heritage protection area of P city, the subject of this study, is an excellent case of collaboration, and in-depth interviews were conducted with the participants in the collaboration. Through these in-depth interviews, the background, collaboration process, performance and success factors of the collaboration task within the P city cultural heritage protection area were examined. The success factors of cooperation related to the installation of military facilities in the cultural heritage protection zone of P city were derived as follows. First, it is important to form a consensus for collaboration, and for this, it is very important to have a common goal of community development. Second, support at the institutional level is essential to successfully induce collaboration. Not only the head of the institution, but also the middle managers need interest in collaboration and various support for it. Third, formal and informal communication between collaboration participants is very important. For collaboration, formal as well as informal communication are important. Through these results of this study, it is judged that it can contribute to inducing collaboration in the local community in the future.

  • After measuring actual stress by two measurements(Dynamic Strain Meter, Histogram Recorder) on truss rail road bridge, we could perform time history analysis by 3-D beam element method on modelling bridge. And then, after analyzing bridge structure in static by 3-D modelling, we estimated degree of fatigue damage in main member, secondary member of tie zone, cutting area of base metal cross section for confirming the result. In case that the simulated stress is carried out on modeling bridge, most of those simulation mainly is performed by main members. But in real bridge fatigue damage problems generally caused by junctions, connections, joints in which especially local stress is activated. Therefore, in this paper actual stress on critical area was estimated through the analysis result by simulation. With this study, we can estimate the degree of fatigue damage from a safety point of view and comparative accuracy.

  • The primary purpose of the present study was to investigate the mechanism causing scour around a pipeline placed on the seabed in a shallow water zone. Such submarine pipelines are usually exposed to currents and waves. The present experiments made estimates for each different flow type. The scour width and depth in the equilibrium scour phase were analyzed by non-dimensional parameters. The experiment in this study considered various parameters: pipe diameters, wave periods, wave heights, and current velocities. Using the experimental results, the correlations of scour width, scour depth, and main non-dimensional parameters such as the Fr number and KC number were analyzed. In the case of steady currents, the scour hole was closely related to the bottom velocity, while the scour hole in waves showed a relatively low correlation to the bottom velocity because when exposed to waves the scour hole was restricted according to the movement distance of the water particles during a wave period. However, the scour width under a steady current was not limited because vortex shedding was well developed from having enough time and distance.

  • This paper discusses the qualification criteria for international hub airport and suggests the strategies for Inchon International Airport (IIA) to be the hub airport in the East Asia. Recently, many East and Southeast Asia countries have invested on large scale international airports like Chap Lak Kok airport, Pudong airport etc.. as Korea have done on IIA. IIA to be open in 2001 will face a serious competition with these airport. Being a hub airport requires geographic proximity. sufficient volume of local traffic. uncongested infrastructure, a good accessibility to surrounding industrial centers. high quality of service to the airline. In order to promote airlines to land at IIA. Korea Government need to establish Open Sky Policy to many countries and national flag carriers of Korea need to be involved in a global alliance. Developing vicinity of IIA as free trade zone will generated more local traffic which makes IIA as more attractive candidate for airlines. The Korea airspace is one of the most restricted area in the world becuase of the national security. which limits civil aircraft maneuvers. The airspace need to be re-structured to exploit the full capacity of IIA.

  • The transfer of forces across the interface by bond between concrete and steel is of fundamentul importance to many aspects of reinforced concrete behavior. Bond stress-slip relationships were studied using a symmetri¬cal tension test specimen. This type of test is intended to simulate conditions in the tension zone of a concrete beam between primary cracks and below the neutral axis. These relationships between local bond stress and local slip are found to be quite different at different locations along the bar. The bond behavior under cyclic lo¬ading is also studied in the present study, and the increase of bond slip and steel strains is clarified from those tests.

  • At the ubiquitous computing, Mobile RFID, which the convergence RFID and mobile device, researches are core method and infra to service B2B, B2C, and B2B2C service domain. We propose the functions of middleware to develop the mobile RFID device. It consists of multi-code integrated recognition module, the reader control module, the module code interpretation, and Dispatcher module. These functions can recognize the tag of EPC/ISO and mCode type. We describe the zone file of local ODS and the implemented module to read the 13.56MHz tag.

  • The field dependent characteristics of electron transport with GaAs impact ionization have been analyzed, using GaAa full band E-k relationship. The E-k relationship is derived from empirical pseudopotential method, using Fermi's golden rule and local form factor, and Brillouin zone is divided into tetrahedrons for calculating impact ionization rate, and tetrahedron method, in which integrates each tetrahedrons, is used. Monte Carlo simulation is used for analyzing anisotropy of impact ionization. A result of transient analysis for impact ionization has presented that anisotropy of impact ionization only arises during transient state and impact ionization is isotropic under steady state. Anisotropic characteristics of impact ionization for GaAs, which is presented in this paper, can be used in carrying out a transient analysis for GaAs devices.

  • Recently, the Yedang reservoir needs reflecting the demands of the public and administration, including change of reservoir status and paradigm shift of users, as well as planning programs to activate the area as a special health zone for tourism, leisure, recreation and experience at the local government level. Previous Optimum Equipment model (OEM) preferentially considers the creation of waterfront. This study shows the operation model for readjustment of water supply facilities according to the limit of the level of the beneficiaries. Results show the renovation cycle of Yedang tourist resort and the suspension bridge through developed model simulation. In addition to securing quantity for the supply of agricultural water and the function of water protection, the multi-function of the agricultural reservoir shall be re-evaluated to enhance the diverse availability of the agricultural reservoir. The county office should also boost various availability at various levels to revitalize the local economy, such as producing pleasant and safe places and offering safe food for people.

  • Crack opening governs many transfer properties that play a pivotal role in durability analyses. Instead of trying to combine continuum and discrete models in computational analyses, it would be attractive to derive from the continuum approach an estimate of crack opening, without considering the explicit description of a discontinuous displacement field in the computational model. This is the prime objective of this contribution. The derivation is based on the comparison between two continuous variables: the distribution if the effective non local strain that controls damage and an analytical distribution of the effective non local variable that derives from a strong discontinuity analysis. Close to complete failure, these distributions should be very close to each other. Their comparison provides two quantities: the displacement jump across the crack [U] and the distance between the two profiles. This distance is an error indicator defining how close the damage distribution is from that corresponding to a crack surrounded by a fracture process zone. It may subsequently serve in continuous/discrete models in order to define the threshold below which the continuum approach is close enough to the discrete one in order to switch descriptions. The estimation of the crack opening is illustrated on a one-dimensional example and the error between the profiles issued from discontinuous and FE analyses is found to be of a few percents close to complete failure.
