그래핑 계산기를 활용한 협동학습에서 학생들의 언어적 상호작용 분석에 관한 사례연구 (Students' Linguistic Interaction with the Development of Mathematical Concepts in Collaborative Learning Using a Graphing Calculator: A Case Study)

  • The research was aimed at finding the dynamic aspects of the linguistic and social interaction with mathematical concept development using a graphing calculator in collaborative learning. This study was broadly divided into two categories: "Knowledge Construction Statement" for understanding how the verbal interaction works when a graphing calculator is used, and "Teacher's Instructional Role" for the research on the reaction of the students and on the teacher's role as a guide in helping students to construct their knowledge. This research used a case study in a collaborative learning environment. An attempt was made to show clearly how the students interacted with one another in a technology environment using a graphing calculator as a tool. A graphing calculator promoted the students' linguistic interaction and changed the characteristics of the linguistic interaction. Although it didn't show the different aspects completely, some changes of the linguistic traits were perceived.aits were perceived.

초등수학 교과서 문장제의 언어적 분석 (A Linguistic Study on the Sentence Problems in 2015 revised Elementary Mathematics Textbooks)

  • In problem solving education, sentence problems are a tool for comprehensive evaluation of mathematical ability. The sentence problems refer to the problem expressed in sentence form rather than simply a numerical representation of mathematical problems. In order to solve sentence problems with a mixture of mathematical terms and general language, problem-solving ability including the ability to understand the meaning of sentences as well as the mathematical computation ability is required. Therefore, it is important to analyze syntactic elements from the linguistic aspects in sentence problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the complexity of sentence problems in the length of sentences and the grammatical complexity of the sentences in the depth of the sentences by analyzing the 51 sentence problems presented in the $4^{th}$ grade mathematics textbook(2015 revised curriculum). As a result, it was confirmed that it is necessary to examine the length and depth of the sentence more carefully in the teaching and learning of sentence problems. Especially in elementary mathematics, the sentence problems requires a linguistic understanding of the sentence, and therefore it is necessary to consider syntactic elements in the process of developing and teaching sentence problems in mathematics textbook.

  • This article presents an examination of the major cognitive-semantic theories in linguistics (Langacker, Lakoff, Fillmore, Croft). The CST's foundations are discussed concerning the educational policy changes, which are necessary to improve the linguistic disciplines in the changing context of higher education, as well as the empowerment and development of the industry. It is relevant in the light of the linguistic specialists' quality training and the development of effective methods of language learning. Consideration of the theories content, tools, and methods of language teaching, which are an important component of quality teaching and the formation of a set of knowledge and skills of students of linguistic specialties, remains crucial. This study aims to establish the main theoretical positions and directions of cognitive-semantic theory in linguistics, determine the usefulness of teaching the basics of cognitive linguistics, the feasibility of using methods of cognitive-semantic nature in the learning process. During the research, the methods of linguistic description and observation, analysis, and synthesis were applied. The result of the study is to establish the need to study basic linguistic theories, as well as general theoretical precepts of cognitive linguistics, which remains one of the effective directions in the postmodern mainstream. It also clarifies the place of the main cognitive-semantic theories in the teaching linguistics' practice of the XXI century.

Definite Descriptions and Attitude Reports in Situation Semantics

  • In this paper I will seek to show that situation theoretic analysis of the attitudes can finely describe references of definite descriptions in attitude reports: co-reference, mis-reference, and speaker's reference. Situation theoretic concepts of a proposition and a resource situation provide excellent means to account for these references: Proposition, which is the combination of a type and an assignment, can combine linguistic and non-linguistic information; Resource situation, sometimes realized as speaker's wrong knowledge situation about an individual, can serve to explain idiosyncratic aspects of attitude reports.

복식문화의 변화와 강릉방언 (Change of the Costume Culture and Gangneung Dialect)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine aspects and causes of the change and disappearance in the Gangneung dialect vocabulary about costume. A typical example of linguistic factors that influence the change of costume vocabulary is competition with the standard language. However, costume as culture has a more powerful effect than linguistic factor. For example, the following factors lead to the disappearance: the disappearance of the referent, the inherent characteristics of the costume, the introduction of the new culture, and the change in values about costume.

  • This work aims to describe pragmatic strategies and linguistic features of replies that occur in the comment section of online newspapers. The dominant media in this digital age is the Internet and its rapid development and expansion of use have contributed not only to the change of the form of production of journalistic texts, but also to the consumption of those texts. In the past, the news was transmitted in a unidirectional way but now readers of online newspapers do not remain passively reading the articles. They actively participate in the exchange of opinions with other readers. The individual consumption of journalistic texts has become a collective and social act. The purpose of the study is to investigate the communication intention of the users of comment sections and analyze the linguistic formulation of replies. We attempt to discover specific aspects of replies and responses for online newspaper articles, considering them as an independent type of Computer Mediated Communication (Internet Mediated Communication). Observing language attitudes appearing in the electronic environment and discovering the characteristics of the Spanish language on the Internet will allow us to contribute to understand the theoretical aspects related to the CMO better.

행위공동체 내의 언어·사회·문화: 국내외 사례를 통한 영어간판의 오류분석과 사회·문화적 양상 (The Language·Society·Culture in a Community of Practice: Error Analysis and Socio-cultural Aspects on English Signboards of the Domestic and a Foreign Country)

  • 본 연구는 국내외 도시 지역 영어간판의 언어적 오류를 살펴보고, 이를 비교해 봄으로써 공동체의 언어 사회 문화적 양상을 고찰해 보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 자료 수집으로 국내 5개 도시와 프랑스 파리 지역의 영어 간판을 촬영하였다. 분석 결과, 국내 영어간판의 39.2%가 오류를 포함한 반면 파리 시내 영어간판의 오류 비율은 24.7%였다. 국내에서는 명동 지역이 영어간판은 물론 오류도 가장 많은 반면, 파리에서는 에펠탑을 중심으로 한 7구역에서 영어간판이 가장 많았고, 오류는 마레지역 3, 4구역이 가장 높았다. 업종과 관련, 국내에서는 주류, 음식, 의류 순으로 간판 오류가 많은 반면, 프랑스에서는 의류, 음식, 문화 순으로 오류 비율이 높아 두 나라간 차이를 보였다. 국내와 프랑스 공히 의미, 형태, 통사 요소의 순으로 오류를 보였다. 국내나 프랑스 모두 옥외광고물 언어에 관한 규정이 존재하고 있으나 제대로 지켜지고 않고 있었다. 따라서 영어간판 사용이 필요 불가결한 글로벌 시대에서 조화로운 영어간판 문화의 정착을 위해선 보다 실제적이고 합리적인 정책 수립이 필요하다.

APEC국가간 언어의 투자 결정요인 분석 (The Language Determinant Analysis of Investment Among APEC Member Economies)

  • This study aims to establish ways of how languages are used as determination factors for investment decisions among Asian countries where used languages are diversified. According to the analysis result, language segmentation of the investing country increases investment whereas the language segmentation of the invested countries is analyzed as the decreasing factor of investment. Also, it is analyzed that the further the linguistic distance between the investing country and the invested country the more investment increases. In the aspects of approached language distance and investment time selection, along with the increased linguistic distance, the elasticity to foreign direct investment is apprehended to be more flexible than other forms of investment. Such result shows the more segmented the languages of the targeted invested country the more investment cost will increase and therefore the results in linguistic distance can be explained as diversification of the invested country and the result to the forming of bridgehead at the invested area.

  • 본 연구의 목표는 요즘 선호되는 감성광고의 효과적인 제작을 위하여 소비자 감정에 관한 생리적 반응을 신체 내부 및 외부적으로 분석하고, 이들의 언어적 및 비언어적 발화방법을 제시함으로써 소비자 위주의 감성광고 제작의 기초를 제공해 주는 데 있다. 이 연구에서는 감성광고의 일반론적 고찰과 아울러 소비자 감성에 대한 기호학적 분석의 틀을 제공하며, 이를 기초로 감성광고를 위한 소비자 생리반응의 언어적, 비언어적 발화양상들을 분석하게 된다. 이러한 작업들은 소비자 감성에 호소하는 효율적인 감성광고 제작의 틀을 제시할 것이다.

수학 문장제 해결에 영향을 주는 언어적.인지적 요인 -혼합물 문제를 중심으로- (Linguistic and Cognitive Factors that Affect Word Problem Solving)

  • 방정식의 활용 문제로 다루어지는 문장제는 학생들의 흥미를 유도하고 수학의 유용성을 보여줄 수 있는 것이지만, 학생들이 해결하기에는 여러 어려움이 있다. 본 연구는 학생들이 수학 문장제를 해결하는데 영향을 줄 수 있는 요인들을 언어적 측면과 인지적 측면에서 조사하였다. 언어적 요인에는 텍스트 기반, 실세계, 상황 모델이 있었는데, 학생들은 문장의 텍스트 기반에서 방정식의 상황 모델로 해석하는 것을 어렵게 생각하고 있었으며, 상황 모델에서 학생들은 많은 오류를 보였다. 인지적 측면에서는 방정식을 세우는 스키마와 해결 전략, 식의 복잡성 수준을 조사하였는데, 방정식을 세울 때 학생들은 복잡성 수준을 고려하기보다는 교사의 지도 내용에 따라 전략을 선택하는 경향이 있었다. 그리고 설탕의 양이나 농도, 설탕물의 양을 혼동하는 경향이 강했다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 문장제에서 학생들에게 제시되는 문제가 해결하기에 얼마나 복잡한지, 학생들이 주로 어떤 전략을 선택하는지, 방정식의 문제 유형별로 발생하는 오류에 대해 알 수 있었다.
