  • In this paper, we define the notion of statistical A-summability for double sequences and find its relation with A-statistical convergence. We apply our new method of summability to prove a Korovkin-type approximation theorem for a function of two variables. Furthermore, through an example, it is shown that our theorem is stronger than classical and statistical cases.

  • In this paper we extend the definition of K-positive definite operators from linear to Frechet differentiable operators. Under this setting, we derive from the inverse function theorem a local existence and approximation results corresponding to those of Theorems land 2 of the authors [8], in an arbitrary real Banach space. Furthermore, an asymptotically K-positive definite operator is introduced and a simplified iteration sequence which converges to the unique solution of an asymptotically K-positive definite operator equation is constructed.

  • By using the boundary element method, the cahracterization and the circuit modelling of the coplanar waveguide (CPW) discontinuities are performed bvia quasi-static approximation. The capacitive equivalent circuits are obtained by developing the 3-D boundary element method with collocation method. On the triangular patch, the numerical scheme employed the linear basis functions and the analytic solutions of the integrals on the singular points. The capacitive discontinuities of gaps, end-gaps, and open-ends are characterized and the results compared with the conductor backed coplanar waveguides.

  • This paper proposes an adaptive fuzzy control scheme for a class of continuous-time nonlinear dynamic systems for which an explicit linear parameterization of the uncertainty is either unknown or impossible. In order to improve robustness under approximation errors and disturbances the proposed scheme includes deadzone in adaptation laws which varies its size adaptively. The assumption of known bounds on the approximation errors and disturbances is not required since those are estimated using adaptation laws. The overall adaptive scheme is proven to guarantee uniform ultimate boundedness in the Lyapunov sense.

  • The object of this paper is the treatment of how to make the vorticity boundary condition instead of pressure in the primitive variable case. An improved algorithm for solving the vorticity-stream function equation is presented. The linear finite element approximation for the solution of Wavier-Stokes and Stokes flows is constructed. Not only regular domain but also complicate domain can be analyze d, using this formulation.

  • A substitution box (S-box) plays a central role in cryptographic algorithms. In this paper, an efficient method for designing S-boxes based on chaotic maps is proposed. The proposed method is based on the mixing property of piecewise linear chaotic maps. The S-box so constructed has very low differential and linear approximation probabilities. The proposed S-box is more secure against differential and linear cryptanalysis compared to recently proposed chaotic S-boxes.

  • In the framework of linear perturbation theory and linear approximation of spacetime anisotropy, we investigated the formulae for the CMBR temperature anisotropy and fluctuation spectrum which have their origin in the primordial tensor perturbations of the perturbed Bianchi type I universe model. The resulting formulae were compared with those of the flat Friedmann model.

  • When a bright astronomical object (source) is gravitationally lensed by a foreground mass (lens), its image appears to be located at different positions. The lens equation describes the relations between the locations of the lens, source, and images. The lens equation used for the description of the lensing behavior caused by a lens system composed of multiple masses has a form with a linear combination of the individual single lens equations. In this paper, we examine the validity of the linear nature of the multi-lens equation based on the general relativistic point of view.

  • Numerical methods for solving the state feedback control problem of linear time invariant system are presented in this paper. The methods are based on Haar wavelet approximation. The properties of Haar wavelet are first presented. The operational matrix of integration and its inverse matrix are then utilized to reduce the state feedback control problem to the solution of algebraic matrix equations. The proposed methods reduce the computation time remarkably. Finally a numerical example is illustrated to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the proposed methods.
