  • This paper presents a controller design method for a robust control problem with multiple constraints using genetic algorithms and LMI design method. A robust $H_{\infty}$ constraint with loop shaping and pole placement is used to address disturbance attenuation with error limits and desired transient specifications, in spite of the plant uncertainties and disturbances. In addition, a loop gain constraint is considered so as not to enlarge the loop gain unnecessarily. The robust $H_{\infty}$ constraint and pole placement constraint can be expressed in terms of two matrix inequalities and the loop gain constraint can be considered as an objective function so that genetic algorithms can be applied. Accordingly, a robust controller can be obtained by integrating genetic algorithms with LMI approach. The proposed controller design method is applied to a track-following system of an optical disk drive and is evaluated through simulation results.

  • This paper proposes a new finite control set-model predictive control (FCS-MPC) method for induction motors. In the method, the reference state that satisfies the given torque and rotor flux requirements is derived. Cost indices for the FCS-MPC are defined using the state tracking error, and a linear matrix inequality is formulated to obtain a proper weighting matrix for the state tracking error. The on-line procedure of the proposed FCS-MPC comprises of two steps: select the output voltage vector of the two level inverter minimizing the cost index and compute the optimal modulation factor of the minimizing output voltage vector in order to reduce the state tracking error and torque ripple. The steady state tracking error is removed by using an integrator to adjust the reference state. The simulation and experimental results demonstrated that the proposed FCS-MPC shows good torque, rotor flux control performances at different rotating speeds.

  • 본 논문에서는 퍼지 제어 시스템의 2차 안정도를 판정하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 퍼지 부 시스템간의 상호 작용을 선형행렬부등식을 이용하여 수치적으로 다룸으로서 제안한 방법은 안정도가 보장되는 퍼지 시스템의 영역을 넓히는 결과를 갖는다. 기존의 방식과 비교하여 제안된 안정조건은 기존의 안정조건을 완화한 것으로 엄밀한 방식으로 제안된 방식이 기존의 방식을 포함한 완화된 조건임을 보인다.

  • This paper presents the stability analysis and design for a sampled-data fuzzy control system with neutral type of time delay. The sampling activity and neutral type of time delay will complicate the nonlinear system dynamics. And it make the stability analysis much more difficult than that for a continuous-time fuzzy control system. Based on the fuzzy control approach, linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based stability conditions are derived to guarantee the neutral T-S fuzzy system stability. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • 본 논문은 Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) 퍼지 모델을 이용하여 이산 시간에서의 비선형 상호 결합 시스템에 대한 분산 동적 출력 궤한 제어기를 제시한다. 이산시간 비선형 상호 결합 시스템의 각 하위 시스템에 대한 T-S 퍼지 모델링을 한 후, 각각에 대해 동적 출력 궤한 제어기를 설계한다. 제어가 된 폐루프 하위 시스템들로 전체 시스템의 평형점이 안정화되는 선형 행렬 부등식 (LMI)을 구하고, 부등식을 이용하여 동적 출력 궤한 제어기의 이득값을 구한다. 마지막으로 모의실험을 통해 분산 동적 출력 궤한 제어기의 효용성을 확인한다.

  • This paper deals with the design problem of multivariable PID controllers guaranteeing the closed-loop system stability and a prescribed $H_\infty$ norm bound constraint. We reduce the problem to the static output feedback stabilization problem. We derive a necessary and sufficient condition f3r the existence of PID controllers and we give an explicit formula of PID controllers. We also give an existence condition of PID controllers guaranteeing a prescribed decay rate. Finally, we give an LMI-based design algorithm, together with a numerical design example.

  • This paper considers the problem of robust stability for uncertain discrete-time interval time-varying delayed descriptor systems using any combinations of quantization and overflow nonlinearities. First, delay-dependent linear matrix inequality (LMI) condition for discrete-time descriptor systems with time-varying delay and quantization/overflow nonlinearities is presented by proper Lyapunov function. Second, it is shown that the obtained condition can be extended into descriptor systems with uncertainties such as norm-bounded parameter uncertainties and polytopic uncertainties by some useful lemmas. The proposed results can be applied to both descriptor systems and non-descriptor systems. Finally, numerical examples are shown to illustrate the effectiveness and less conservativeness.

  • This paper presents a stabilization method for NCS (Networked Control Systems) with two additive time-varying delays. Each time delay component between the plant and the controller has different characteristics depending on communication network, and has the upper and lower bounds. The time delay occurring from the controller to the plant has an effect on the time delay occurring from the plant to the controller, and the relationship between two delays is taken into account on the stability analysis. Based on the two additive delay components and the bound conditions, the appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and the LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) method derive the stability condition and the $H_{\infty}$ norm constraint for time-varying delayed NCS. Simulation results are finally given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • This paper proposes the implementation of robust fuzzy controller for designing intelligent wind farm and mitiagating the fluctuation of wind power generator. The existing researches are limited to individual wind turbine with variable speed so that it is necessary to study the multi-agent wind turbine power system. The scopes of these studies include from the arrangements of each power turbine to the control algorithms for the wind farm. For solving these problems, we introduce the composition of intelligent wind farm and use the T-S (Takagi-Sugeno) fuzzy model which is suitable for designing fuzzy controller. The control object in wind farm enables the minimizing the fluctuation of wind power generator. Simulation results for wind fram which is modelled as mathematically are demonstrated to visualize the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • This paper studies on an active noise control to reduce noise sound level in a small cavity. Ideally, high gain control solves this problem, but, in practice, there exist nonlinear characteristics and modelling errors of the small cavity, which make the control more complicated. H$_{\infty}$ control can be used in an uncertain system after determining uncertain boundary and solved algebraically or numerically. In this paper, the numerical one, LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality), is used to get controller. Finally, experiment result shows the performance of the controller..
