어패럴업계 전문직 종사자의 직무스트레스와 이직에 관한 연구 (Job Stress and Turnover of Fashion Designers and Fashion Merchandisers)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the level and the major causes of job stress, and the causes of the high level of job turnover rate of fashion merchandisers and fashion designers. The study also examined the correlations among the major causes of job stress, job results and job turnover rate. A part of the questionnaire consisted of questions on major causes of job stress, job result, and intention and trial to leave a job. The subjects were to rate on 5 point Likert-type scales. The other part included the questions on demographic and individual characteristics of the subjects and their company characteristics. For the survey, the subjects were 99 fashion merchandisers and 128 fashion designers who are employed by mens or womens wear manufacturers. The SAS PC+ package was used to calculate frequency, Cronbach $\alpha$, multiple regressions. The results of the study were as follows: 1. The high degree of the job results were resulted from the high degree of specialties in their job characteristics, high contentment in human relations, career development and income, and low role conflict. 2. Stronger intentions and more trials to leave their job were correlated to better task performance in the workplace, lower commitment to their job, and lower job satisfaction. 3. Higher level of job stress caused by interpersonal relationship in the organization and contentment in career development and income affected stronger intentions and more trials to leave their job.

교사용 칭찬성향 검사도구 개발 및 타당화 검증 (Development and Validation of a Teacher's Praise Disposition Scale)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a teacher's praise dispositions scale(TPDS). On the basis of a literature review of praise, we developed 19 Likert-type items to measure praise dispositions of elementary and secondary school teachers. The developed scale was examined with 342 teachers. With an exploratory factor analysis we extracted 3 sub-factors of the scale consisted of 16 items; frequency, intention, and standard of praise. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficients of sub-scales were from .60 to .85 and split-half reliabilities were from .60 to .84. A confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to assess the suitability of three components model. It was found that some correlation coefficients, not all of them, between gratitude disposition and praise disposition were statistically significant. It suggested that teachers'praise disposition scale is related to gratitude disposition but is not the same scale. In conclusion, TPDS could be used to measure praise dispositions of teachers. However, for further validity and reliability, repeated research is necessary.

비만 아동과 정상체중 아동의 혈중 지질 농도, 영양섭취, 자아존중감 및 신체활동 비교 (Blood Lipid Level, Nutrient Intake, Self-esteem and Physical Activity of Obese and Normal Weight Elementary School Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of the obese children in depth and provide basic information for a comprehensive educational program for the obese children. Physical and biochemical characteristics, nutrient intake, and self-esteem, etc. of 16 obese elementary school children (OC) and 14 normal weight elementary school children (NWC) were examined. Self-esteem was measured using Likert-type scales with description. Plasma levels of total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, and glucose of OC were higher than those of NWC. Dietary intake with a lunch provided more energy and vitamin B1 in OC than in NWC. Physical appearance and athletic competence among self-esteem in OC were lower than in NWC. However, there was no significant difference in physical activity between OC and NWC. In OC, atherogenic index was positively related with waist circumference, obesity index and BMI while athletic competence self-esteem was negatively related with them. It is recommended that the children should receive the comprehensive educational program for improving children' dietary behavior and their self-esteem.

Developing an Instrument of Assessing the Middle School Students' Perceptions of Mathematics Teachers' PCK

  • Many researches proposed different models and concepts for the PCK. It is important to understand its composition. Most studies investigated the development of PCK and its influence on students' learning from the teachers' perspectives. We developed an instrument for assessing middle school students' perceptions of mathematics teachers' PCK (SPOMTPCK) to investigate the nature of PCK. Theoretical claims and empirical research in PCK were used to design questions and sub-scales for the SPOMTPCK. The face validity of the instrument was established by the expert mathematics teachers and students. A questionnaire consisting of 38 items on a five-point Likert-type scale was used for data collection from 799 middle school students. The exploratory factor analyses resulted in the development of a three-factor scale of 17 items that was proved valid and reliable, that is, pedagogical representation, understanding students and curriculum, and encouraging students' engagement. The Cronbach α coefficients of the scale was 0.935, and the Cronbach α coefficient of three factors were ranged from 0.721 to 0.912. The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the questionnaire has good construct validity and the fit indexes are good. MANOVA analysis of variance revealed that the differences in mathematics teachers' PCK identified by students of different school types and grades were statistically significant. It is a validate measurement to evaluate the perceived mathematics teachers' PCK for middle school students.

중.노년층 남성복.여성복 브랜드이미지의 특성 비교 (Comparison of Brand Images Between Men′s and Women′s Wear Brands Targeting Middle Aged People or Older People)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate and make comparison of brand images of men's wear brands and women's wear brands targeting middle-aged people or older people. Thus, the study could be an exploratory study to search apparel niche-market for middle-aged or older consumers. The questionnaire consisted of questions on 28 brand image. The subjects were to evaluate their brand images and rate on 5 point Likert-type scales of 28 adjectives. Most of the subjects were designers or merchandisers who worked for men'wear brands or women's wear brands. The SPSS/WIN Program was used to calculate frequency, t-test, and cluster analysis. The results from the study were as follow : 1) The common images which men's wear brands and women's wear brands strongly pursued were prestigious, luxurious. 2) Each 37 men's wear brands and 36 women's wear brands were clustered into one groups by brand images. The common images included in first clusters of men's wear and woman's wear brands consisted of prestigious. luxurious, formal, comfort, and conservative. This market needs to be more segmented by differentiated brand images.

충북지역 학교급식의 만족도 분석 (An Analysis on the Satisfaction with the Quality of School Foodservice in Chungbuk Province)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the students’ perception and to evaluate the satisfaction with the quality of school foodservice in Chungbuk Province. A questionnaire survey of 900 students was conducted and 370 completed questionnaires were available for the purpose of the statistical evaluation. Statistical analyses were performed on the data utilizing the SAS V8.2 program. Importance, performance and satisfaction scale were composed of 5-Likert scales. The main results of this study were summarized as follows: The degree of importance and performance on twenty three attributes and the degree of satisfaction with four dimensions and overall satisfaction were measured according to type of school, location of school, place for eating, type of foodservice system and type of foodservice operation. The importance score was significantly higher than the performance score at all quality attributes except for the food appearance. The performance score of ‘waiting time’ and ‘atmosphere’ was less than 3 point out of 5 scale. The average satisfaction score for the quality dimensions of food, sanitation and service was 3.35, 3.19 and 3.10 point out of 5 scale, respectively. The satisfaction score for dimension of environment was 2.93 point out of 5 scale. The score for overall satisfaction was 3.27 point out of 5 scale. The satisfaction score for elementary school foodservice management was significantly higher than middle and high school foodservices. The satisfaction score for commissary foodservice operations was significantly higher than conventional foodservice operations. Using survey results as a base, the dieticians of school foodservice are required to meet the needs of the students and increase students’ satisfaction.

리커트 5점척도에서 자극에 의한 응답결과의 변화 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Measuring the Change of the Response Results in Likert 5-Point Scale Measurement)

  • 본 연구에서는 리커트 5점 척도 설문에 참여했던 응답자들이 특정 자극에 의해 동일한 2차 설문이 주어졌을 때, 본인의 처음 응답결과를 어떻게, 어떤 방향으로 바꾸는지를 측정하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 3개 설문지의 1차, 2차 또는 3차에 걸친 재설문 결과들을 집단간 차이, 자극의 종류, 설문목적의 차이, 응답변화의 방향 및 변화정도의 관점에서 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통해 발견된 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전문가 집단과 일반 집단 중 전문가 집단이 상대적으로 의견을 바꾸지 않는 것으로 유의하게 검증되었다. 둘째, 설문목적에 따른 차이는 없는 것으로 조사되었고, 자극의 종류 중 시스템 사용경험보다는 다른 사람들의 의견이 정보로 주어졌을 때 더 많은 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 최초응답에서 긍정적인 답변에 응답했을수록 답변을 바꾸지 않는 것으로 나타났고 부정적인 답변자는 대부분 긍정적인 방향으로 의견을 바꾸는 것으로 유의하게 검증되었다. 넷째, 최초 응답을 바꾸는 경우 응답변화의 폭이 2단계 이상인 경우는 그다지 많지 않고 대부분 1단계 정도 전후로 바꾸는 경향이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 마지막으로 중간응답자가 의견을 가장 많이 바꾸고 양극단의 경우 의견을 잘 바꾸지 않을 것이라는 예측을 하였으나 부정적인 답변자일수록 의견을 긍정적인 방향으로 바꾸는 것으로 분석되었다.

수간호사가 활용하는 근무성적 평정에 관한 조사연구 (A Survey on Head Nurses' Perceptions and Performances on Staff Evaluation)

  • This study was designed and carried out to identify the methodologies of the staff evaluation used by the headnurses and their perception on the purpose of the evaluations, and to measure the degree and type of perceived purpose and the degree of implementation of staff evaluation principles into preactice. A hundred and eleven from four general hospitals with 600 beds and over were conveniently sampled. Data were gathered from August 20, through September 10, 1994 ; demographic data of respondents and 'methodologies used for staff evaluation' by questionaires, level of 'perceived purposes of staff evaluation' and level of implementation of the 'principles of staff evaluation into practice' by Likert-type rating scales developed by the researcher. Raw and percentile scores and means were calculated and data were processed further by t-tests and ANOVA. Results are as follows ; 1. Traditional methodlogies : checklists(90.1%) and ranking methods(45.9%) revealed to be the two mostly prefered and used methods. 2. Of the 20 item-descriptions of the 'purpose of staff evaluation': 10 'control, evaluative' and 10 'non-control, developmental' the first(mean=3.19) to the ninth(mean=2.74) in rank order revealed to be the 'control, evaluative purpose', while the tenth in rank order revealed to be the first among the 'non-control, evaluative' item(mean-1.57). 3. Level of purpose of staff evaluation perceived as 'control ; evaluative'(mean=43.76, S.D.=5.01) revealed to be significantly(t=-3.86, p<.05) highter than 'non-control ; developmental'(mean=40.65, S.D.=3.41). 4. Level of implementation of 'staff evaluation principle into practice' revealed to be moderately high(mean=2.40).

The Task of the Fashion Designer in Different Types of Domestic Women's Apparel Brands - Focusing on the Fashion Merchandising Process -

  • The purpose of this research is to identify the phases of the fashion merchandising process and the range of the fashion designer's work as well as performing degree at each stage according to the brand types of domestic women's apparel. The preliminary research was conducted with the chief designers of five woman's apparel manufactures located in Seoul and the questionnaires were collected from 192 fashion designers. They were measured by the five point Likert-type scales. For a data analysis, the Pearson's Correlation, ANOVA, Sheffe Test, MANOVA were used with SPSS V. 11.0. The results are as follows; 1. The steps which fashion designers of domestic apparel brand take in fashion merchandising process have been identified in 7 stages- Environment Information, Target Market Planning, Design Planning, Design Development, Price Settlement, Presentation & Line Release, Production. 2. The task achievement level of fashion designers in fashion merchandising process differs in brand types as well as in fashion merchandising stages. In NB, the designer's work was conducted in order of Design Planning(M=4.58)$\to$Presentation & Line release(M=4.31)$\to$ Environment Information(M=3.83)$\to$Target Market Planning(M=3.13). In DB, in order of Price Settlement (M=4.80)$\to$Production(M=4.33)$\to$Design Development(M=4.27)$\to$Design Planning(M=3.77)$\to$Presentation & Line release(M=3.20)$\to$Environment Information (M2.70). In GB, in order of Production(M=4.38)$\to$Design Planning(M=4.22)$\to$Price Settlement(M4.16)$\to$Environment Information(M=3.83)$\to$Merchandising Target Market (M=3.72)$\to$Design Development(M=3.65). 3. Considering the other factors such as sales, the amount of owning shops, item amounts that are related to the company size, this study shows that only the brand type affects designer's task achievement.

어린이 급식소 조리종사자의 직무만족도 조사 -100인 미만의 어린이 급식소를 중심으로- (Job Satisfaction of Children Foodservice Employees at Daycare Centers)

  • The research was conducted by center for children's foodservice management in Hanam-si. In order to improve job satisfaction, a survey was carried out by working conditions and job satisfaction in children foodservice employees working at child daycare centers registered from January to April. Ninety-five surveys out of 120 were collected, and 76 surveys were analyzed. Job satisfaction consisted of four elements, working environment, welfare, human relationships, and job-itself, analyzed by general characteristics. Pearson's correlation was carried out between job satisfaction and intention to change job by Likert 5 scales using SPSS statistic program. The percentages of child daycare centers owned by civilians was 52.6%, high school education level was 65.8%, permanent workers was 68.4%, and less than 1 year of foodservice was 34.2%. Average scores of job satisfaction were as follows: working environment scored 20.6 out of 25 points, welfare scored 10.3 out of 15 points, human relationships scored 17.5 out of 20 points, and job-itself scored 13.2 out of 15 points. The lowest job satisfaction average was 'I get paid fairly regarding the working hours and the amount of work' with a score of 3.6 points. Job satisfaction based on facility type, age, education level, and working period did not show significant differences, whereas hired status, numbers of foodservice children, and intention to change jobs showed significant differences. Hired status showed significant differences with welfare satisfaction (P<0.05). Numbers of children showed a significant difference with welfare and human relationship satisfaction (P<0.01, P<0.05). Intention to change job showed a significant difference with four elements of job satisfaction (P<0.05, P<0.01, P<0.01). In conclusion, to improve job satisfaction of children foodservice employees, working conditions and welfare satisfaction should be increased.
