  • Anterior maxillary teeth play an important role in determining a person's first impression and facial profile. Implant surgery in esthetic area requires more careful diagnosis, treatment planning, surgery, and prosthetic restoration than in posterior area. To avoid complications in surgery and prosthetic restoration for implants in esthetic area, accurate diagnosis and appropriate case selection become very important. If you have decided to restore the area with implant prosthesis, you have to know exactly where to place an implant. I will discuss the ideal implant position in terms of mesio-distally, apico-coronally, labio-palatally, and implant angulation. And I would like to point out the selection of fixture diameter & length for anterior implant. Finally, a clinical implant prosthesis case in maxillary central incisor will be shown. In conclusion, for superior esthetic outcome in anterior implant prostheses, we must understand the patient's anatomic condition and know our ability.

  • After a digital modelling method has been introduced into architectural design in 1990s, a radical change was taken place in generating architectural form and space. Many architects have a view that digital modelling method is the most Important invention in the visual presentation since the moment that architect Philippo Brunelleschi experimented initially the linear perspective. Therefore, in this study, comparing between perspectiva artificialis and digital modelling method, we clarify 1) the relationship of architectural design and presentation method, 2) the practical and philosophical background inherent in digital modelling method which played key role in developing non-representational architecture, 3) and the principles of non-representational architecture like diagram, folding, and trace.

  • The movements of oral surrounding muscles, lips, and tongue play a very important role while masticating, swallowing, and speaking. In case of the edentulous patient wearing dentures as well, every movement of the tongue can be seen almost the same as that of the dentulous jaw. The crushed food during mastication is swallowed and sent to pharynx. At this course, the contact of the posterior portion of tongue with dentures affects the stabilization of denture. The retention and stability of the complete dentures are related with buccinator muscles of buccal parts, lips in front, and tongue of the lingual sides. Strack(1946) insisted that the arrangement of artificial teeth in the same place as that of the natural dentition is the best way to maintain the stability of denture. In this report, I would like to introduce the several advantages of a new impression method taken simultaneously, and its procedures and clinical cases.

  • In this paper, we implemented the monitoring and control of geothermal heating and cooling system using mobile devices. The main idea of this system is to provide the convenience if the system can be controled in remote place with monitoring using the mobile devices like PDA. Basically, the system consists of the Server-Client structure divided into two parts, one is PDA and PC, the other is PC and PLC(Programmable Logic Controller). The PDA, which is equipped with Windows CE as as, monitors the status of the devices (motors and sensors, etc) attached to PLC and controls them. This does the system to be controled by the commands, which we assume to control, with wireless transmission between PC and PLC. The PDA parts are responsible for monitoring and control the devices connected to the PLC, and the PC part which equipped with the application is to provide the relation between PDA and PLC. The Ladder Program is used to control the sequences of the PLC..

  • Mangifera indica Linn. (MI) (Family: Anacardiaceae) is commonly known worldwide as mango and ‘Aam’ in India. MI shares an important place in treatment of several diseases in various ancient system of medicine like Ayurveda and other Indian System of Medicine and some other Traditional Medicines world wide. Almost all the parts of MI have been used in oriental medicine, so in this review attempt has being made to review the history, traditional uses, phytoconstituents and therapeutic potentials of mango.

  • The .Japanese sun observing satellite, Yohkoh, has been operational for five years and her scientific instruments are still in good condition. They have revealed ample of evidences that solar flares were triggered by magnetic reconnection, which was, for the first time, clearly indicated to take place in the solar corona. Cusp structures in soft X-rays and a new type of hard X-ray sources at the top of flaring loops have strongly supported the scenario originally proposed by C-S-H-KP. Nonthermal energy input in hard X-rays and thermal energy estimated from soft X-rays are fundamentally consistent with the interpretation of thick-target and chromospheric-evaporation models (Neupert effect). X-ray jets, another discovery of Yohkoh, were also associated with magnetic reconnection, as a result of the interaction of emerging fluxes with pre-existing coronal loops. Temperature structures of active regions, quiet sun, and coronal holes had very dynamic differential-emission-measure (DEM) distributions and high-temperature tails of DEM were considered to come from the contribution of flare-like activity.

  • The evolution of solar magnetic arcades is investigated with the use of MHD simulations imposing resistivity on sheared magnetic fields. It is found that there is a critical amount of shear, over which magnetic reconnection can take place ill an arcade-like field geometry to create a magnetic island. The process leading to reconnect ion cannot. be solely attributed to a tearing instability, but rather to a reactive evolution of the magnetic arcade under resistivity. The natures of the arcade reconnection are governed by the spatial pattern of resistivity. A fast reconnection with a small shock angle can only be achieved when the diffusion region is localized. In this case. a highly collimated reconnect ion outflow can tear the plasmoid into a pair, and most of principal features in solar eruptive processes are reproduced.

  • In this paper, a simple test rig of high-speed crash for the front members of vehicles was developed for the improvement of crashworthiness of vehicle's side rail. The cart hanging the specimen is accelerated up to 35 mph by the traction wire and by the force of freely dropping weight and 1:3 accelerating pulleys. The cart with shock absorbers travels on the rail roads, so it does not transfer any additional vibration to the specimen. In order to measure the energy absorbed by the specimen when it collapse to the wall and during it deform, the two strain gage type load cells are used at the wall place. The test rig rated good to test the specimen like a side rail of vehicle as developing the vehicle's structures in the early design stage.

  • In the recent society of knowledge industry, a changed phenomenon of domestic corporate culture, Work Smart working in creative and various ways beyond time and space is emerged from Work Hard working just hard. Thus, many corporations are trying to configure the emotional space beside the work space to make effective and creative achievements in free work environment out of rigid organizational culture in the past. This space is called Amenity space which enables to implement physical and psychological healings simultaneously and this is not a place for rest like in the past industry society. This research suggests distinctive characteristics of other amenity furniture unlike general furniture by analyzing the variously suggested change of forms of amenity furniture for Work Smart and the changes of configuring key factors such as forms, structures and functions of amenity furniture.

  • The purpose of this study explores the meaning of shopping and shopping behavior of consumer under the perception of time pressure. In this study, qualitative methods such as participation observation, depth interview, focus group interview were used. The major findings are as follows : First, consumer under the perception of time pressure defined shopping is mainly' grocery purchasing'. Second, they go shopping on weekend, in familiar store and buy the same kind of goods. Like this, their shopping patterns appear fixed type. Third, this study ascertained proposed time management strategies applied to shopping. Finally, a place of residence, driving or not, house helper, children and standard of family influence on consumer's shopping behavior additionally.
