  • Life of a system involves hazards from various sources which, it is believed, can be assessed by means of quite simple expressions. By a suitable combination of these expressions to provide for the relevance of each of the hazards, it is held that a realistic appraisal of the sensitivity of each type failure can be adequately monitored. This paper accordingly presents the mathematical concepts in relation to each of the hazards and then proceeds to indicate the general relationship which these have to some experiences in life monitoring.

  • As the population of the silver generation is increasing, the importance and effects of the market for the silver generation are also growing. We segments the categories of the silver generation into six sub-segments using based on the factors like life style, life stage, or performing role from the point of view in communication industry. After segmenting those categories, we observed the experience of each segmented group in detail. Likewise, we executed both FGD(Focused Group Discussion) and participants' observations together to effectively collect the expressed and/or potential needs. Customer's experience was collected along the touch points and customer corridors after dividing the customer's experience world into two groups; communication styles in usual life (life log) and direct contact channels. The effects of delivering an affirmative customer's experience would be empowered by eliminating negative experiences or complementing affirmative experiences. For this purpose, this paper presents the improvement points for the better customer's experience based on the observed customer's experience. This paper presented a sample way of customer-centric approach to design the services or products in the communication industry. In addition to that, the analyzed results of this paper will be useful to find out an effective approach to the market of silver generation.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the transition experiences of the elderly from long-term care hospitals to their homes. Methods: The participants were eight elderly medicaid beneficiaries, who had been the subjects from the community care project in Korea. The data were collected with one-on-one interviews from April to November in 2020, and analyzed by phenomenological steps. Results: The seven themes derived in this study were 'Space to escape', 'Reliable supporter opened the way to discharge', 'Comfortable life at home', 'Obstacles to independent life', 'Struggling to live alone', 'Fence for community life', and 'Energizing in daily life' Conclusion: The results revealed the positive aspects of Community Care program in Korea. However, it is suggested that active communication between hospitals and community care institutions, and improvement of home environment to live in the community before discharge should be required. And system revision is needed to adjust activity in their home and support health problems of the elderly in the early stage of discharge. The results of this study can be referred to as the foundation of transitional care for the elderly.

  • This study attemps to rethink assumption that the family can be 'a heaven' to everyone in a harsh world through theoretical review Functionalists insist that people feel emotional secure through family life. However this pers-pective sees only the one side of the family experience ignoring the other side of its tension and conflicts in the family. From marxist perspective the family experiences may not be the same among different social classes due to their economic inequality, It might be that middle class family is more likely to experiences emotional secure than any other social class. Feminists have challenged prevalent assumptions about the family. They see that women are oppressed by the family. These results mean that marxist and feminist perspectives compensate for the limitation of functionalism. I'd like to propose that marxist and feminist perspectives can be used framewrok for the family study.

  • The seeds of addiction are typically sown years prior to the onset of addictive substance use or engagement in addictive behaviors, due to the priming of the reward pathway (RewP) by alterations in the mechanism of stress-signaling from the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA) and related pathways. Excessive stress from a single-event and/or cumulative life experiences during childhood, such as those documented in the Adverse Childhood Experiences Study, is translated into neurobiological toxicity that alters the set-point of the HPA axis and limbic system homeostasis [suggested new term: regulation pathway (RegP)]. The resultant alteration of the RegP not only increases the risk for psychiatric and physical illness, but also that for early onset and chronic addictions by dysregulating the RewP. This paper reviews the interface of these symbiotic pathways that result in the phenotypic pathology of emotional dysregulation, cognitive impairment, and compulsive behaviors, as well as morbidity and shorter life expectancy when dysregulated by chronic stress.

  • The purpose of this research was to explore Korean-Chinese women's experiences of family separation. A qualitative approach was used to analyze the in-depth interviews with 14 Korean-Chinese women who lived away from their families in China. Korean-Chinese women showed the child-centered family values. The main reason of family separation was to provide children of better educational opportunities. Korean-Chinese women, their husbands, and their extended family members worked as a team to support children. Their cohesive family relationships reflected the unique sociocultural context of Korean-Chinese society. Family separation seems to be normalized for the purpose of child education. The research would contribute to understand how family values affect family life style.
