In order to establish preventive maintenance standards through analysis & reliability prediction of about 60,000pcs of 20kindsof relays and contractors used for Seoul subway trains, several life prediction methodologies were applied. Firstly, Occurrence, Severity, Detection were defined and predicted by applying operation characteristic of EMU to the number of actions of relays & contactors which the manufacturers generally offer as the life cycle data. Secondly, failure distribution and average life of parts were analyzed through interpretation of field data based on a lot of experience which had built up in the field for a long time. Finally, using the 217PLUS standard as a reliability prediction program, comparative analysis of use reliability and inherent reliability was done through reliability prediction at the part level and system level.

Polymer materials are very difficult to decompose for the purpose of chemical analysis. Nondestructive analysis without pretreatment provides a suitable solution that will overcome this obstacle. In this study, CRM candidate samples that contained toxic elements such as As, Cd, Cr and Zn in a polypropylene (PP) were analyzed using instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). The analytical results were obtained from ten samples selected by random sampling at two different concentration levels (low and high). Particular attention was paid to reducing analytical errors and evaluating the associated uncertainty.

Recently, monitoring of tool life is a matter of common interesting because tool life affects precision, productivity and cost in machining process. Especially flank wear has a direct effect on cutting mechanism, so the various pattern of cutting force is obtained experimentally according to variation of wear condition. By investigating cutting force signal, AR(Autoregressive) modeling and correlation dimension analysis is conducted in turning operation. In this modeling and analysis, we extract features through 6th AR model, correlation integral and normalized correlation integral. After the back-propagation model of the neural network is utilized to monitor tool life according to flank wear. As a result. a very reliable classification of tool life was obtained.
Background: Oral health is an important element of well aging. And oral health also affects overall health, mental health, and quality of life. In this study, we sought to identify oral health influencing factors and research trends for well-aging through text analysis of research on well-aging and oral health over the past 12 years. Methods: The research data was analyzed based on English literature published in PubMed from 2012 to 2023. Aging well and oral health were used as search terms, and 115 final papers were selected. Network text analysis included keyword frequency analysis, centrality analysis, and cohesion structure analysis using the Net-Miner 4.0 program. Results: Excluding general characteristics, the most frequent keywords in 115 articles, 520 keywords (Mesh terms) were psychology, dental prosthesis and Alzheimer's disease, Dental caries, cognition, cognitive dysfunction, and bacteria. Research keywords with high degree centrality were Dental caries (0.864), Quality of life (0.833), Tooth loss (0.818), Health status (0.727), and Life expectancy (0.712). As a result of community analysis, it consisted of 4 groups. Group 1 consisted of chewing and nutrition, Group 2 consisted oral diseases, systemic diseases and management, Group 3 consisted oral health and mental health, Group 4 consisted oral frailty symptoms and quality of life. Conclusion: In an aging society, oral dysfunction affects mental health and quality of life. Preventing oral diseases for well-aging can have a positive impact on mental health and quality of life. Therefore, efforts are needed to prevent oral frailty in a super-aging society by developing and educating systematic oral care programs for each life cycle.

The main objective of this study is to explain the differences in intergenerational resource transfers among the middle-aged at various income levels. Analyses of data on financial resource transfers from the 2nd wave of the Korean Retirement and Income Study were conducted. The study sample consisted of 931 middle-aged individuals who had at least one living parent and one child. The data analysis methods were ${\chi}^2$ analysis, one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA), logistic regression analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Financial resource transfers are statistically significant factors explaining the preparation for later life and life satisfaction of middle-aged individuals. The empirical results reveal that the frequency of intergenerational financial transfers was significantly higher in high-income households than in middle- and low- income households. A comparison of high-, middle- and low-income households shows that financial resource transfers had a greater influence on the preparation for later life and life satisfaction of the middle-aged in middle-income households than in low- or high-income households. The level of life satisfaction was dependent upon to whom middle-aged individuals gave financial resources. In the middle-income group, the middle-aged who gave financial resources to their parents were more likely to have higher life satisfaction than those who did not. Receiving financial transfers from parents or children did not have a statistically significant impact on the life satisfaction of the middle-aged in any income-level group.

In this paper, optimal spot weld layout design for a shock tower structure is presented. This design increases the fatigue life of the spot-welds thereby increasing the fatigue life of the shock tower itself. In order to predict the fatigue life, a quasi-static analysis has been conducted then a fatigue analysis was performed through the application of random vibration loads. In order to optimize the spot weld layout, the design variables that have an effect on the spot weld fatigue life were determined. A spot weld fatigue analysis was then conducted based on the experiment design. Finally, a response surface model was made using the fatigue analysis results and an optimized spot weld layout model, one that increases the fatigue life of the spot welds and thereby the fatigue life of the shock tower, was developed.

The method for fatigue life prediction of ball bearing is proposed applying the algorithm of contact fatigue prediction based on stress analysis. In order to do this, a series of simulation such as initial surface stress analysis, EHL analysis, subsurface stress analysis and fatigue analysis are conducted from the loading at each ball location calculated for a bearing subjected to external bearing load and contact shape function. And uniaxial fatigue tests are performed to obtain fatigue parameter of AISI 52100 steel. It was found that since stress is usually higher at the inner raceway contact than at the outer raceway contact, fatigue failure occurs on the inner raceway first. When the fatigue life calculated in the stress-based method are compared with $L_{50}$ life of L-P model, Crossland criterion for the radial load increment is similar to $L_{50}$ life and Dang Van criterion for the axial load increment is similar. In the case of EHL contact. there is no difference of fatigue life between dry contact and EHL contact, when maximum Hertz pressure exceeds 2.5GPa.

This study aims to examine the effects of high school students' time management behaviors on their satisfaction with educational consumption and school life. Three hundred seventy-six high school students in Seoul participated in this investigation. The SPSS ver. 19.0 program was adopted for the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the present study can be summarized as follows: first, the levels of time management behavior, satisfaction with educational consumption at school, and satisfaction with school life were relatively high. Second, an analysis of the relative influence on satisfaction with educational consumption revealed that the students' time management behavior was the most influential factor, followed by academic achievement. As the levels of time management behavior and academic achievement were high, the level of satisfaction with educational consumption was high. Finally, an analysis of the relative influence of satisfaction with school life also revealed that the students' time management behavior was the most influential factor, followed by academic achievement. Based on the findings, that is, the effects of high school students' time management behavior and other involved variables on their satisfaction with educational consumption and school life, a future study can present specific ways to enhance the level of satisfaction with educational consumption and school life.

The research for the fatigue analysis is regarded greatly as important in aerospace field. Moreover, a study on the fatigue characteristic is very actively progressing. In this study, the fatigue life estimation was performed for Flaperon Joint which has FCL(fatigue critical location) of tilt-rotor UAV. The Flaperon Joint should be taken the various loads by several missions profiles of UAV. The fatigue load spectrum of Flaperon Joint is generated by the standard mission segment for the tilt-rotor UAV, and this spectrum is used for the fatigue test and analysis. The in-house fatigue analysis program is applied to calculate the fatigue life based on Stress-Life(S-N) method. The S-N curve is generated from the S-N data of Mil-Handbook by second order polynomial regression method. Moreover, the coefficient of determination is used to ensure how accuracy it has. In addition, the Goodman equation is used to consider the mean stress effect for evaluating more accurate fatigue life. Finally, the result of fatigue analysis is verified by comparing with the fatigue test result for the Flaperon Joint.
