초등학교 6학년 학생들의 수학적 정당화의 필요성에 대한 인식과 수학적 정당화 수준 (6th grade students' awareness of why they need mathematical justification and their levels of mathematical justification)

  • In this study, we suggest implications for teaching mathematical justification with analysis of 6th grade students' awareness of why they needed mathematical justification and their levels of mathematics justification in Algebra and Geometry. Also how their levels of mathematical justification were related to mathematic achievement. 96% of students thought mathematical justification was needed, the reasons were limited for checking their solutions and answers. The level of mathematical justification in Algebra was higher than in Geometry. Students who had higher mathematic achievement had higher levels of mathematical justification. In conclusion, we searched the possibility of teaching mathematical justification to students, and we found some practical methods for teaching.

주사실습 교육방법이 간호학생의 불안에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Injection Practice Education Methods on Anxiety in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study examined the level of students' anxiety depending on the injection type, education methods, and the students' characteristics. Methods: 209 first year nursing students were randomly assigned to each group by three factors -injection methods, video watching, and number of practice. Injection methods had two levels (IV and IM). Video watching also had also two levels (video watching and non-watching group). And the number of practice had 4 levels according to number of practice (2, 4, 6, and 8 times). The video watching group was watching 30 minutes video before manikin practice. After 5 to 15 minutes of manikin practice, the sufficiency of practice and the level of anxiety were measured. The data were analyzed by t-test and one way ANOVA. Results: The anxiety of the IV practice was higher than that of IM. The students who have experiences of working at hospital or the similar institution were lower in anxiety. The higher self-confident in sufficiency of practice lowered the students' anxiety. But watching video and the number of practices had no effects on the level of anxiety. Conclusion: To effectively lower the anxiety of nursing students in the nursing practice education, lecture methods and education tools are needed to develop.

Preventive Effect of Polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea Swim Bladder on Reserpine Induced Gastric Ulcer in ICR Mice

  • This project's aim was to determine the reserpine-induced gastric ulcer preventive effect of polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea swim bladder (PLCSB) in ICR mice. The anti-gastric ulcer effects of polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea swim bladder was evaluated in mice model using morphological test, serum levels assay, cytokine levels assay, tissue contents analysis, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis and western bolt assay. High concentration (50 mg/kg dose) of PLCSB reduced IFN-${\gamma}$ as compared to low concentration (25 mg/kg dose) and control mice. SS and VIP serum levels of PLCSB treated mice were higher than those of control mice, and MOT and SP serum levels were lower than control mice. Gastric ulcer inhibitory index of PLCSB treatment groups mice were much lower than control mice, and the high concentration treated mice were similar to the ranitidine treated mice. The SOD and GSH-Px activities of PLCSB treated mice were higher than control mice, close to normal mice and ranitidine treated mice. PLCSB treated mice also showed the similar contents of NO and MDA to normal group. By RT-PCR and western blot assay, PLCSB significantly induced inflammation in tissues of mice by downregulating NF-${\kappa}B$, iNOS, and COX-2, and upregulating $I{\kappa}B-{\alpha}$. These results suggest that PLCSB showed a good gastric ulcer preventive effect as the gastric ulcer drug of ranitidine. Polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea swim bladder may be used as a drug material from marine products.

경기도 학교 급식 조리 종사자의 위생 교육을 통한 위생 지식 및 수행 수준 연구 (A Study on the Sanitary Knowledge and Performance Levels of School Foodservice Employees in Gyeonggi-Do by Sanitary Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of sanitary education on the sanitary knowledge and performance levels of school foodservice employees in Gyeonggi-do, particularly in Siheung, Ansan, Gunpo and Anyang City. Four times we provided questionnaires consisting of the same content to each individual. The first and second questionnaires were answered before and after the first sanitary education, respectively, and the third and forth questionnaires were answered before and after the second sanitary education, respectively. The changes in sanitary knowledge and performance level before and after education were statistically significantly different(p<0.01). Most of the school foodservice operations performed sanitary education once a month, and recognized the need for sanitary education as well as experienced improvements through sanitary education. Moreover, the fact that sanitary knowledge following the second education was higher than after the first education suggests the possibility of improving sanitary practices of foodservice employees through continual education.

Ischemia Modified Albumin Levels and Oxidative Stress in Patients with Bladder Cancer

  • Background: Impaired oxidative/antioxidative status plays an important role in the pathogenesis of many diseases like cancer. The aim of this study was to evaluate the levels of the novel marker ischemia modified albumin (IMA) and albumin adjusted-IMA (Adj-IMA) in patients with bladder cancer (BC) as well as its association with total antioxidant status (TAS), total oxidant status (TOS) and oxidative stress index (OSI). Materials and Methods: Forty male patients with BC (mean age, $67.4{\pm}12$ years) and forty age-sex matched healthy persons (mean age $56.0{\pm}1.7$ years) were included in this study. Serum levels of IMA, TAS, TOS were analyzed and Adj- IMA and OSI was calculated. Results: Serum IMA, TOS and OSI values were significantly higher in patients with BC compared to controls (p<0.0001, p=0.01 and p=0.01, respectively), whereas TAS was significantly lower in BC patients (p=0.04). There was no significant difference for serum albumin-adjusted IMA levels between groups (p=0.4). Conclusions: In this study, it was found that there was an impaired oxidative/antioxidant status in favor of oxidative stress in BC patients. This observation was not confirmed by Adj-IMA calculation. There is no published report about serum concentrations of IMA in patients with BC. Further studies are needed to establish the relationship of IMA and oxidative stress parameters in BC and the significance of IMA to other cancers.

고위험산모신생아 통합치료센터 (MFICU) 간호사 임파워링 교육프로그램 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of Empowering Education Program for Maternal Fetal Intensive Care Unit (MFICU) Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop an empowering education program for Maternal-Fetal Intensive Care Unit (MFICU) nurses who provide intensive care to high-risk mother and fetus at hospitals, to test effects of the education program on nursing care confidence and nursing knowledge, and to examine program satisfaction. Methods: This study comprised of 2 phases: program development and evaluation. First, we have followed a process of program development to develop and refine an empowering education program for MFICU nurses through collaborative works among clinical obstetrics and gynecology doctors and nurses and academic nursing professors. Second, the empowering education program was provided to 49 nurses and evaluated from July 5 to 6, 2019. Levels of MFICU nursing care confidence and knowledge were measured. Results: The empowering education program included 18 hours of lectures, discussion, and Q & A, which continued for 2 days. This program significantly improved high-risk maternal-fetal nursing care confidence and knowledge of nurses. The program was well met with nurses' education need and goals, and found to be highly satisfactory. Conclusion: The empowering education program was observed to be effective in terms of improve nursing care confidence and knowledge of nurses in MFICU. It is proposed that this program should be open regularly for nurses to obtain and improve their clinical knowledge, confidence, and competency. Further study is needed to develop and run 2-levels of education such as basic and advanced levels based on nurses' clinical background and competency.

초.중학생의 영재분야에 따른 ICT 리터러시 능력 수준 분석 (Analysis of ICT literacy levels of elementary and middle school students according to their skill sets)

  • 21세기 지식기반사회의 핵심역량으로 ICT 리터러시 능력이 강조되고 있다. 따라서 2007년부터 학생들의 ICT 리터러시 측정에 대한 연구들이 진행되었다. 본 연구는 교육의 수월성 관점에서 영재분야에 따라 ICT 리터러시 능력이 어떻게 다른지를 분석하기 위한 목적을 갖는다. 목적 달성을 위해 영재교육원에서 교육을 받고 있는 초등학생 167명, 중학생 159명을 대상으로 영재분야에 따른 ICT 리터러시 능력을 비교하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 초등학생들은 영재분야에 따라 내용요소 중 '컴퓨터와 네트워크', '정보사회와 윤리', 능력요소 중 '문제의 인식', '정보의 소통'에서 차이를 나타내었다. 둘째, 중학생은 영재분야에 따라 '정보사회와 윤리', '정보의 조직 및 창출' 요소에서 차이가 있었다. 본 연구는 일반학생들과는 달리 정보, 과학, 수학영재를 대상으로 ICT 리터러시 능력을 측정하고, 교육에 대해 제언했다는 점에 의의가 있다.

The Psychometric Properties of Effectiveness Scale in Distance-Digital

  • This study intended to test the structure of the latent factor of an effectiveness scale and the stability of invariance across groups of students' classifications (gender and levels of education). In the large, non-clinical sample (850), students completed the effectiveness scale. The (CFA) confirmatory factor analysis was used to investigate the factor-structure of the measure, and multiple-group confirmatory factor analysis (MGCFA) model was used to test the stability of invariance across groups of students' classifications. The findings of the CFA indicated support for the original four-factor model. Additional analyses of the MGCFA method support the measurement (configural, metric and strong) invariant and practical invariant components of this model. There was an invariant across gender. There was partially invariant across groups of levels of education. The scale exists in groups of levels of education assess the same concepts of, excluding Items 15 and 10. Given that this study is the first investigation for the structure of the effectiveness scale.

심뇌혈관질환자의 소득과 교육수준에 따른 건강행태 비교 - 2010-2011년도 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여 - (Comparison of the Health Behaviors according to Income and Education Level among Cardio-Cerebrovascular Patients; based on KNHANES data of 2010-2011)

  • 본 연구는 심뇌혈관질환자들을 대상으로 소득수준과 교육수준이 건강행태에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 질병관리와 예방에 도움을 주는 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 2010-2011 국민건강영양조사 원시자료를 이용하여 30세 이상의 심뇌혈관질환자 3,687명을 대상으로 건강행태, 일반적(사회인구학적) 특성, 신체계측 및 혈액검사를 소득수준별, 교육수준별로 상관관계를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 소득수준과 교육수준이 낮을수록 심뇌혈관질환의 유병율이 높고, 현재흡연에서의 OR(95% CI) 값은 고소득자 0.71(0.52-0.96), 고교육자 0.41(0.29-0.58)로 소득과 교육수준이 낮을수록 건강수준의 감소와 관계되는 현재흡연과의 상관성이 높았다. 한편 1개월음주와 고위험음주에서 고소득자의 OR(95% CI) 값은 각각 1.55(1.22-1.95), 1.42(1.11-1.82)로 음주율이 고소득자에서 높았으나 교육수준에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 걷기운동의 실천율은 소득과 교육수준 모두 유의한 차이가 없었다. 따라서 소득수준이 높은 환자군에서는 절주홍보를 강조하고, 소득과 교육수준이 낮은 환자군에서는 금연의 중요성을 강조하는 것 이외에도 서비스공급을 위한 제도적인 뒷받침이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

  • The purpose of this research is to discover and analyze the stages of concern, level of use, innovation configurations and the analysis of their relationship to each other of storytelling-based math education among elementary teachers based on the concerns-based adoption model (CBAM). And then the researcher derives support strategies for the education by empirically examining at which levels and how actual elementary teachers perceive storytelling-based math education and also how they adopt it. In addition, the researcher lays the purpose of this study on seeking proper supporting strategies for helping elementary teachers implement storytelling-based math education and providing basic material for teaching activities by examining the correlation between stages of concern, levels of use and the innovation configuration, and grasping the relation between teachers concern and their educational practice regarding storytelling-based math education.
