Purpose : Nurses' knowledge regarding advance directives may affect their administration of and confidence towards end of life care. This study aimed to describe the relationships of knowledge, confidence, and learning needs with advance directives among hospital nurses. Method : This cross-sectional study was performed at a tertiary university hospital in Seoul between September 25 and October 14, 2017. Convenience sampling was used to recruit nurses who provided bedside care and had at least 1 year of clinical experience. We used a validated self-report questionnaire. Results : The mean score of knowledge, confidence and learning needs were $5.00{\pm}1.73$, $29.81{\pm}7.52$, and $64.54{\pm}8.48$ respectively. Hospital nurses' knowledge, confidence and learning needs were significantly different according to age, job position, educational level and perceived advance directives. Knowledge regarding advance directives was significantly associated with confidence (r = .27, p < .001) and learning needs (r = .16, p = .005). Conclusion : Knowledge regarding advance directives was relatively low compared to the findings of previous studies. Therefore, nurses should be knowledgeable and encouraged to initiate advance directives. It is necessary to develop a standardized educational program regarding advance directives based on Korean cultures.

A survey of zearalenone contamination was conducted on cereal-based products by using an immunoaffinity column with LC-MS/MS. The calibration curve showed good lineality, with correlation coefficients ($R^2$) of 0.999 in the concentration range from 1 to 250 ng/mL. The limits of detection and quantification were approximately $0.3{\mu}g/kg$ and $1.0{\mu}g/kg$, respectively. The recoveries in the barley tea, Misutgaru and snack ranged from 73.6-107.8%. Zearalenone was detected in 10 samples (11.2% incidence). The highest zearalenone contamination level was $29.7{\mu}g/kg$ in the Misutgaru. This survey was conducted with uncertainty of measurement. The expanded uncertainty for zearalenone was estimated to be $44.9{\pm}5.0{\mu}g/kg$ (k=2, 95% confidence level) and $128.7{\pm}7.9{\mu}g/kg$ (k=2, 95% confidence level) for barley tea, $30.7{\pm}5.8{\mu}g/kg$ (k=2, 95% confidence level) and $173.7{\pm}14.9{\mu}g/kg$ (k=2.26, 95% confidence level) for Misutgaru, and $37.2{\pm}7.4{\mu}g/kg$ (k=2.31, 95% confidence level) and $151.0{\pm}10.4{\mu}g/kg$ (k=2, 95% confidence level) snack at the level of $41.7{\mu}g/kg$ and $166.7{\mu}g/kg$, respectively.
The clinical practice program for home care nurses was implemented in June 1994, to help to set up a hospital-based home care system in the Kwangju City area as a collaborative work between the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Chunnam University Hospital and Chunnam University School of Nursing. Under the developed clinical practice strategy, the eight week training was given to five licensed home care nurses who had completed Part I and II of the home health care nursing practicum from June 1994. The purpose of this descriptive evaluation study was to identify the effectiveness of the clinical practice program for home care nurses specialized in the area of patient care for people with musculoskeletal function impairment. As a method in data analysis, data triangulation was used in the five home care nurse case evaluations. The variety of data analyzed include confidence score by home care nurse self-evaluation, patient and family member satisfaction scores, and competency score by preceptor evaluation. The study findings revealed that an increase rate in nursing performance didrate necessarily coincide with an increase not in competency score and also, not with the patient /family member satisfaction scores. And an order derived from the clinical performance scores of five home care nurses corresponded to those from three measurements-competency score, patient satisfaction score, and family member satisfaction score. However, it differed from the order associated with the confidence score. Consistency derived from the three objective evaluation methods may lead to the possibility that the level of competency measured by educator can be further explained by the levels of patient/family member satisfaction. The salient finding of this study was that, in case of nurse A who have had little clinical experience in the orthopedic patient care, there was a significant increase in the level of confidence and competency in subscale of professional skill with the home care clinical practice. Therefore, the effect of the clinical practice program would be successful for nurses who have had little experience in the area of specialization. The study results suggest that there might be some time difference in the development of cognitive sense (confidence) in performance and actual clinical performance (competency). In future research, relationships between the confidence and competency score, and between the confidence score and the patient satisfaction score should to be measured in different time frame to achieve a better explanation power of the study outcome.
The purpose of the study is to find the factors influencing small or middle size clinics and hospitals CEOs' expectation level on the affiliation with the large size teaching hospitals. Data for analysis was collected to use self-administrative structured questionnaire on 164 CEOs of small or middle sized clinics and hospitals affiliated with large sized teaching hospital located in Kyung Ki Province. For the study, the researchers develop the constructs for questions on the expectation on the affiliation, the attitude such as confidence, knowledge on the affiliation, previous relationship of the affiliation, and selection guideline of the affiliation with exploratory factor analysis and reliability test. Through the confirmative factor analysis using AMOS 4, the researchers develop constructs based on exact relationship between constructs and questions. CEOs' expectation level on the affiliation is influenced on attitude or confidence, gender, types of clinics and hospitals, distance to the affiliated large hospital, types of recommender, and number of affiliated hospitals. Large sized hospitals that want to affiliation with other clinics and hospitals can promote the affiliation to consider these factors from the results.

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) demonstrated a method for monitoring the performance of instrument channels in Topical Report (TR) 104965, 'On-Line Monitoring of Instrument Channel Performance.' This paper presents the results of several models originally developed by EPRI to monitor three nuclear plant sensor sets: Pressurizer Level, Reactor Protection System (RPS) Loop A, and Reactor Coolant System (RCS) Loop A Steam Generator (SG) Level. The sensor sets investigated include one redundant sensor model and two non-redundant sensor models. Each model employs an Auto-Associative Kernel Regression (AAKR) model architecture to predict correct sensor behavior. Performance of each of the developed models is evaluated using four metrics: accuracy, auto-sensitivity, cross-sensitivity, and newly developed Error Uncertainty Limit Monitoring (EULM) detectability. The uncertainty estimate for each model is also calculated through two methods: analytic formulas and Monte Carlo estimation. The uncertainty estimates are verified by calculating confidence interval coverages to assure that 95% of the measured data fall within the confidence intervals. The model performance evaluation identified the Pressurizer Level model as acceptable for on-line monitoring (OLM) implementation. The other two models, RPS Loop A and RCS Loop A SG Level, highlight two common problems that occur in model development and evaluation, namely faulty data and poor signal selection
Since research has barely been done on the minority with low-achievement & low-SES in probability, this research attempted to search the change of their thinking level in the classes of probability and motivate them on the mathematical learning to feel confident in mathematics. We can say that the problems of the educational discriminations are due to the overlook on the individual conditions, situations, and environments. Therefore, in order to resolve some discrimination, 4 students who belonged to the minority group, engaged in the research, based on 10 units of the instructional materials designed for the research. As a result, for the student's thinking level, it was observed that they were improved from the 1st to the 3rd level in probability. Also, the researcher found that the adequate use of the encouragement, the praise, the direct explanation, and the scaffolding enabled them to prompt their learning motives and the increased responsibility on the learning. As time passed, the participants could share their mathematical knowledge and its concept with others, in the increased confidence.
A study of the effects of multibanded orthodontic appliances on the oral lactobacilli was conducted on 41 multibanded group and 41 caries free group. The following conclusions were obtained. 1. In multibanded group, the average count of lactobacilli per milli-liter of saliva showed about 219,300 in male and 254,100 in female. In caries free group, the mean count of lactobacilli per milli-liter of saliva showed about 66,700 in male and 68,500 in female, Therefore, the average of lactobacilli in multibanded group was much higher than that of the caries free group in both sexes. 2. The average of all the types of lactobacilli colonies (Disk-type, Bell-type, Y-type) in multibanded group was much more than that of caries free group. 3. Multibanded orthodontic appliances were found to sufficiently alter oral environment to significantly affect disk-types and total counts in both sexes and bell-type in female, at $1\%$ level of confidence. But changes in bell-type and y-type, in male, were considered to be significant at $5\%$ level of confidence.
Linear polarization has been measured for fifteen extragalactic radio sources in the field of supernova remnant S 147. These observations were made at 4885, 4835, 1665, 1515, 1465, and 1385 MHz using the Very Large Array, primarily to determine unambiguous Rotation Measures (RM) of the sources. This yields a total of 11 new RM sources. Comparisons of a sample of sources which are seen through S 147 were made with sources located farther away. The result tentatively indicates that the distribution of the rotation measure of the former population is broadened, with more than a 85% level of confidence. This constitutes evidence that there is a SNR contribution to rotation measure in sources seen through the SNR. Limits on this RM contribution are statistically at 30 < | RM | < 70 rad $m^{-2}$ with a 85% statistical level of confidence. These result imply the magnetic field in the rim of S 147 has strength 10 microguass if the electron density is $1\;cm^{-3}$.

According to Granger causality test, yield of Cooperate Bond and export amount of Machinery have a meaning at statistical Confidence level of 10%. In case of index of the unit cost of export and export amount of Machinery, they have an interactive Granger cause. In yen dollar exchange rate and export amount of Machinery, former variable gives an unilateral Granger cause to latter that. Also, call rate gives an unilateral Granger cause to export amount of Machinery. In case of $M_3$ & export amount of Machinery, former variable have an influence on latter that at 5% Confidence level.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning characteristics of passive house by the building structural types in foreign cases. The interests and demands about passive house have been increased, and various building structural types and design methods have been attempted for passive house in Korea. But domestic research results and development experiences about passive house were lack. The results of this study are as follows; First, in terms of energy performance, insulation performance, airtightness, there are not significant differences at the 95% confidence level by the structural types of passive house. Second, in terms of the types of insulation materials, there are significant differences at the 95% confidence level by the structural types of passive house. Third, in principle there is no need of traditional heating facility in passive houses, but in practice traditional heating facilities are used additionally in about half of survey cases for the comfort of occupants.
