  • This paper suggests facility planning ideas for recreational fishing complexes suitable for family anglers. Existing recreational fishing parks are only equipped with facilities for angling. There are many needs for recreational fishing complexes in coastal fishing villages that include not only angling facilities but also various marine leisure and sports facilities. In this paper we suggest concepts for recreational fishing complexes and define four types of complexes in terms of facilities planning. These four types of complexes are: 1) suburban leisure sports, 2) suburban healing and relaxation, 3) penturban experience and activities, and 4) penturban culture and recreation. Then we propose facility composition in detail for each type. Also we suggest site selection criteria for the village complex, facility infrastructure planning ideas, and leisure facilities (elementary and specialized) for recreational fishing complexes.

  • As a marine leisure industry has being developed and demands for leisure culture have rapidly increased, the needs for services offering marine safety and related information are growing. Accordingly, in the study I developed the contents providing server to support this with ENC agent who presents geographical information of digitalized Electronic Nautical Chart satisfying with the standard(S-57) by International Hydrographic Organization and a web searching agent who builds a database by collecting marine-related information in order to provide a variety of realtime information such as weather, fishing and news. In addition, I designed and embodied network based mobile contents which can be presented on a WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability) based portable handset by receiving an ENC and other processed information from server. With the results produced by such experiments, I measured a compressibility corresponding to a image compression format of electronic nautical chart transmitted and analyzed the correlation between increase in packets of requested information and the cost.

  • According as marine leisure industry has developed and the demand of leisure culture has increased rapidly, a desire about service which supply marine safety and connect marine information is enlarging. We wish to develop contents of download form that supply geographic information of Electronic Navigational Chart(ENC) in the marine that is digitalized to carrying along terminal of WIPI base and various informations for marine leisure. For this, DB that offer ENC and additional information should be constructed. Also, we need server(CPS; Contents provider Server) that offer required contents. In this paper, we design web retrieval component which store request information to database. When consumer required necessary information through personal mobile device, CPS can inform that. So, we wish to develop web retrieval agent component that parse informations in various World Wide Webs, and store to database.

  • Many studies have demonstrated that family plays a crucial role in health and wellbeing in life. There has been little research, however, examining the relative importance of activities together with family members in middle-aged adults. The goal of this study was to examine the effect of family meal, phone conversation with family, and family leisure activities on happiness, health, and family relationship. Total 286 middle-aged adults (M=50.13) participated in this study. Dependent variables were happiness (SWB), physical and psychological illness symptoms, family satisfaction, sex satisfaction, and parenting sense of competence. This research showed that (1) frequency of meal with family was positively correlated with happiness, family relationship, and negatively physical/psychological illness symptoms; (2) high frequency of talking on the phone with family resulted in that high level of happiness, family satisfaction, sex satisfaction, and parenting sense of competence, and lower illness symptoms; (3) the more participants spent leisure time with family, the happier and the more family satisfaction they feel. Findings suggest that activities together with family members in middle-aged adults may enhance their happiness, health, and quality of family relationship. The implication for current study were discussed.
