  • Even after Fukuyama declared "The End of History" in 1989, the challenge to liberal democracy continues. Controversy about totalitarianism is constantly being raised both internally and externally in democratic countries and leaders, as well as the US-China war of supremacy. In this paper, I explored a hypothesis about the totalitarian process, and to explain this hypothesis, I analyzed the case of Venezuela, which was once referred to as a welfare model state. This paper presupposes Fukuyama's insistence on the universality of liberal democracy but considers the last man Nietzsche argues for the last man he assumes. Accordingly, the process of totalitarianism was viewed as a process in which totalitarianism was institutionalized and spread internationally through the linkage and interaction of the last fallen humans, the masses, and totalitarians in the international and domestic environments. According to this hypothesis, the Bol?var Revolution and Chavez show the process of transformation into a typical quasi-totalism. Although the Venezuelan people preferred democracy, they remained the last man who had become a man of "rich consciousness." While investigating this hypothesis, it was confirmed that extensive and interdisciplinary studies such as digital t otalitarianism and the development of science and technology should be followed.

  • Biological pump processes generated by diatom production in the surface water of the Southern Ocean play an important role in exchanging CO2 gas between the atmosphere and ocean. In this study, the biogenic opal content of the sediments was measured to elucidate the variation in the primary production of diatoms in the surface water of the Southern Ocean since the last glacial period. A piston core (COR-1bPC) was collected from the Conrad Rise, which is located in the Indian sector of the Southern Ocean. The sediments were mainly composed of siliceous ooze, and sediment lightness increased and magnetic susceptibility decreased in an upward direction. The biogenic opal content was low (38.9%) during the last glacial period and high (73.4%) during the Holocene, showing a similar variation to that of Antarctic ice core ΔT and CO2 concentration. In addition, the variation of biogenic opal content in core COR-1bPC is consistent with previous results reported in the Antarctic Zone, south of the Antarctic Polar Front, in the Southern Ocean. The glacial-interglacial biogenic opal production was influenced by the extent of sea ice coverage and degree of water column stability. During the last glacial period, the diatom production was reduced due to the penetration of light being limited in the euphotic zone by the extended sea ice coverage caused by the lowered seawater temperature. In addition, the formation of a strong thermocline in more extensive areas of sea ice coverage led to stronger water column stability, resulting in reduced diatom production due to the reduction in the supply of nutrient-rich subsurface water caused by a decrease in upwelling intensity. Under such environmental circumstances, diatom productivity decreased in the Antarctic Zone during the last glacial period, but the biogenic opal content increased rapidly under warming conditions with the onset of deglaciation.

  • Interest in personal mobility has increased with the growing significance of first-mile and last-mile connectivity in smart mobility services. This study aims to propose a methodology for setting the service area of free-floating personal mobility sharing services and determining the optimal fleet size for the selected shared service area to address first-mile and last-mile challenges. We utilize population data, smart card data, and building data. Additionally, we estimate latent demand by incorporating age-specific and distance-specific utilization rates based on personal mobility device data. Along with the latent demand, we determine the service area based on locations of transit stops and buildings. We apply the proposed methodology to Yeongjong Island, Incheon. As a result, dense residential areas and popular beachside locations are designated as personal mobility sharing service areas. The fleet size for personal mobility in the dense residential service area is determined to be 1,022 units, while the fleet size for the beachside service area is set at 269 units.

  • Since Goldreich and Julian's pioneering work in 1969, the pulsar magnetosphere theory has been dramatically developed for theorists to possess an elegant axisymmetric, stationary model. Based on this development the black hole magnetosphere theory has also been established in the last 30 years. Such theoretical developments will be reviewd equation by equation in this paper.

  • Producer prices of raw milk include following elements: a basic price, payment according to fat content, payment according to bacteriological quality and somatic cell count. The quality of raw milk has increased since last change of payment system according somatic cell count. But last change of payment system according to fat content is not effective. It is necessary to widen the range of equal price by fat content. Also it is necessary to include payment according to protein content.

  • Assuming that the solar activity and the solar cycle phenomena may be manifestations of global torsional MHD oscillations, we compute the Alfven wave travel times along the field lines in the five models of magnetic field described in the following text. For all these models, we compute standard deviation and it's ratio to mean Alfvenic wave travel times. The last two models yield the smallest relative bandwidth for the frequencies of the MHD oscillations. However, the last model is the only admissible one which can sustain global Alfvenic oscillations with well defined frequency for the fundamental mode

  • Korean footwear industry has experienced rapid growth and decline during last 30 years. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the main reason for the decline of Korean footwear industry by examining the process of technological learning which Korean footwear firms experienced during last 30 years of OEM. Before this analysis is done, innovation patterns of world footwear industry is sketched to compare with those of Korean footwear industry. On the basis of the analysis on the reasons for decline, I suggest some policy recommendations.

  • In the last paper, we have discussed the cannonical representatin of a dynamic linear model, on which some aggregation schemes were devised. The relationships of those aggregation schemes with dynamic properties were investigated. This paper tries to analyse she control strategy for the aggregated linear dynamic model and to investigate the dynamic properties of disaggregative model controlled by aggregated model. For the logical consistency with the last paper, all the sections and all the equations are numbered in a sequence.

  • This thesis, based on the semiotic theory, compared the meaning of sign which is a grounding the military uniform of the category of clothings as a cultural sign for formative relation. As for the scope of study, I made the Amy's uniforms during the last period of Korea Empire from 1895 to 1909 as an object of amy thesis and analyzed their decument and photographes. As a result of analyse of military uniform during by semiotical application, I made clear that it has role of signal by underlying signal's aspect of sign, and it si a sign which could symbolize the class, national and periodical distinction.
