수학 프로그램 구현을 통한 체계적 '프로그래밍' 교수 자료 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Instructional Materials for Systematic "Programming" by Realization of the Mathematical Program)

  • 지식 기반 사회를 맞이하여 컴퓨터 교육에 대한 관심이 점점 높아가고 있다. 컴퓨터 교육에서 프로그래밍 교육은 매우 중요하다. 그러나, 기존의 프로그래밍 교육은 프로그래밍 언어의 문법에 대한 기계적 암기나 사용법을 익히는 것에 치중해 왔다. 그래서 그 프로그램이 갖는 의미와 어떻게 다른 방법으로 구현될 수 있는지 등의 논리적인 사고를 키우는데 적합하지 못했다. 이런 프로그래밍 교육의 현실을 개선하여 정보 소양을 기르고 문제 해결 능력의 함양이라는 프로그래밍 교육의 목표를 달성하기 위해서는 프로그래밍 교육의 접근 방법에 대한 개선이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 프로그래밍 학습에 대한 새로운 접근법으로 프로그래밍 언어의 기초가 되는 C언어를 통해 프로그래밍에 대한 기본적인 통찰력과 테크닉을 기를 수 있도록 수학 프로그래밍 소스들을 구현하고자 한다. 이는 프로그래밍 학습에 대한 흥미와 관심이 증대되며 프로그래밍에 대한 경험을 쌓는 과정에서 문제 해결력 및 논리적 사고력의 향상과 프로그래밍에 대한 감각을 키워주는 좋은 경험이 될 것이다.

간호학문의 현상학적 연구에서의 미학적 사유 (An Aesthetical Thinking in Phenomenological Research of Nursing Science)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to illuminate the relation between the aesthetics and qualitative nursing research, and especially to consider the aesthetical characteristics of phenomenological nursing research which may reflect works of art. Method: Based on Heidegger, Merleau-ponty and Gadamer' philosophical aesthetics, this study shows how aesthetical thought can be is applied to artistic creation and aesthetical criticism in the phenomenological research of nursing. Result: The result of aesthetical characteristics of phenomenological nursing research were as follows: 1) Poetical thought of the client's experience as the living is revealed as poetic expressions in forms of listening gazing, reflection and metaphor. 2) Literature works, paintings, poetry and fiction used as sources of lived-experience help to awaken insight into the essence of lived-experience. 3) Aesthetical evaluation of phenomenological product as art is related to the harmony as a whole, especially to the ability to do vicarious lived-experience of the client. Conclusion: In order to produce creative phenomenological works in nursing research, two suggestions are made: aesthetical thought and poetic language in phenomenological reflective writing which enables researchers to transmit the essence of the lived-experience.

영동지역어내의 충청방언 남동부 하한선 연구 (Research on the Bottom Boundary Line on the Southeast Area of the Chungcheongdo Dialect in Yeongdong)

  • The geographical characteristics of Yeongdong(永同) the southernmost part of the Chungcheongbukdo province, has attracted attention among the academic circle as one of the dialectal contact regions since it adjoins the Gyeongsang and Jeolla dialects. Unlike the local language in Mooju (Jellado dialect) adjacent to the Southwest part, the local language in Yeongdong is quite different from that of Kimcheon (Gyeongsang dialect). More specifically, it is noteworthy that the boundary line of the Gyeongsang dialect is found in this region, which is different from the administrative division. In other words, the local language in Yeongdong is divided into the Chungcheong dialect and the Gyeongsang dialect, and furthermore each dialect region still has the characteristics of the other region's dialect. For example, the phonological structure of Yeongdong Chungcheongdo dialect has very unique characteristics of the fudged dialect, which is seemingly influenced by the Gyeongsang dialect. The present study is to define the bottom boundary line of the southeast area of the Chungcheong dialect by identifying the boundary line between the Gyeongsang dialect and the Chungcheong dialect, and to clarify its specific sound system generated by the contact of these two dialects. For this, the author collected and analyzed data of the local language around Yeongdong and adjacent areas. It was found that Cheongwha-ri, Deokjin-ri, and Sanjeo-ri at Yeongsan-myeon, and Mugeunjeom, Sangga-ri, and Jungga-ri at Yeongdong-eup, among the regions that belongs to Chungcheong dialect within the local language of Yeongdong, show the characteristics of the Gyeongsang dialect. Accordingly, the western areas of these villages become the southeast boundary line of the Chungcheong dialect. Also, the unique phonological characteristics of the Yeongdong Chungcheong dialect is affected by the Gyeongsang dialect, among which "rhythms, y deletion, nasal phoneme deletion, and w deletion" appeared. It is thought to be the unique fudged dialectal phenomenon that appeared only in this region. The research result is expected to be of some help in finding out various aspects of dialectal contacts as well as clarifying the phonological features of the local language in Yeongdong, and thereby contributing to exact divisioning of the Chungcheong dialect.

보육교사의 표정언어에 관한 사례연구: 교사, 원장, 학부모의 견해를 중심으로 (A Case Study on Childcare Teachers' Facial Expression Language: Focused on the Opinions of Teachers, Directors, and Parents)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the opinions of teachers, directors, and parents about childcare teachers' facial expression language. We performed in-depth interviews based on literature and previous studies, which consisted of ten childcare teachers, ten directors, and ten parents. From the in-depth interviews, we are able to mainly conclude that all groups think that a childcare teacher's facial expression language is very important, and strongly influences interpersonal problems and work performance. Mostly, childcare teachers aim to have pleasant facial expressions. However they complain that in some situations it is difficult to do so, which causes severe stress. They argued that the facial expressions of both the director of the childcare center and the parents are also very important for children. However, the directors thought that teachers' facial expressions affect children and their parents' impressions of the teachers and quality of childcare. The parents are usually highly satisfied with the childcare when the teacher has a pleasant facial expression, which motivates the parents to have a positive impression of the teacher. Taken together, childcare teachers' facial expression language is critical for children and the childcare environment. Thus, developing an education program for facial expression language would be helpful for improving the quality of child care. Plus, childcare environments should be developed so that teachers do not experience difficulty in having pleasant facial expressions. This result might have the limitation of being collected from only female childcare teachers, directors, and parents.

전통 조형정신의 구현체계의 분석 방법과 실현 방안에 관한 고찰 (Notes on Methods for Realization and Analysis for Implementation of Traditional Aesthetic Value)

  • 최근 한국의 전통조형에 관련되는 연구가 활발하게 이뤄지고 있다. 그러나 그간 이뤄졌던 선행연구의 대부분이 극히 개인적이고 부분적이며 산발적으로 이뤄졌기에, 그 내용이 단편적이고, 체계화되지 못한 경향이 있다. 따라서 이러한 선행연구들을 체계적 틀로 종합하여 객관적으로 정리할 필요가 있다. 대체적으로 인간의 모든 행위(조형행위 또한)는 목표와 절차와 수단을 갖고 있다. 즉 인간은 어떤 사상을 구현하기 위해서는 세 가지 요소가 필요한데, 이 세 가지 요소는 내용적, 형식적, 그리고 실질적 요소로 구분하는 것이 보편화되어 있다. 내용적 요소는 사상의 가치, 관념, 의미, 그리고 목적으로서 이루고자 하는 목표이며, 형식적 요소는 목표를 이루기 위해 그 사상의 단위들을 구성하는 방법, 원리, 규범, 절차, 형태 그리고 양식이며, 실질적 요소는 형식을 통하여 내용을 구체화시킬 수 있는 구체적인 수단, 도구, 매체, 재료 그리고 기술 등을 가리킨다. 이 세 가지는 상호연관 되어 있어 이중 한 가지라도 결여되면 완벽한 구현을 이룰 수 없다. 인간이 표현코자 하는 사상과 의미는 거의 언어로 이뤄지고 있다. 문장의 주성분에는 주어(생략가능), 목적어(목적), 서술어(방법), 보어(수단)가 있으며, 그것의 구성요소를 층위별로 규칙을 갖고 체계화시켜놓은 것이 문장이므로 위의 내용들을 언어와 비교 연구하여 디자인(조형)과의 상관관계를 살펴 전통조형의 체계에 관련된 분석의 틀을 만들었다. 또한 위의 방법으로 분석ㆍ정리된 결과를 갖고 전통 조형정신을 시대에 적합하게 실현하기 위한 방안을, 단계별로 정리하였다. 터미널에 상호 호환적 형태로 소비될 수 있는 터미널 구조 및 구현, 그리고 실험 결과를 처음으로 제시 하였다는데 의미가 있다고 할 수 있겠다.있을 것이다. for business transactions, which is composed by ′Classify Phase′ that classify transactions. 도의 철학과 도의 언어학 -고대 중국의 철학과 언어- (The Philosophy and Linguistics of Dao : the Ancient Chinese Philosophy and Language)

  • The aim of this paper is to elucidate ancient Chinese philosophy and linguistics through the concept of the Dao. Ancient Chinese thought had developed together with ancient Chinese theories of language and the linguistic features of Classical Chinese. The concept of the Dao served as an intermediary among them. The Dao which ancient Chinese philosophers sought for has several characteristics: ethical normativity, wholeness, dynamicity, non-reducibility. Linguistic studies also revealed them. The following linguistic features of Classical Chinese are the cause and/or the effect of such Dao-based philosophy and linguistics: No explicit subject-predicate sentential structure, no parts of speech, heavy reliance on the word order and context for meaning determination, no explicit distinction between compound words and a sentence, the pictographic or the ideographic features of Chinese graphs, and non-existence of a copula.

The Process of Curriculum Renewal of an Intensive English Program

  • The purpose of this paper is to report the process of curriculum renewal of an intensive English program with focus on the perceptions of the people involved. The researcher tries to describe the five years of curriculum change. The data collected through surveys, interviews, and observations were analyzed. The findings show that throughout the years, the students that participated in the program perceived that their English skills have improved. The teachers also thought that the student's overall English skills improved. The satisfaction on the chosen textbooks was higher in the student group than the teacher group. The main goal and objectives of the intensive English program in the study changed in the process of curriculum renewal. The program that launched in order to enhance students' conversational skills in 2004 started to include TOEIC instruction in late 2005 due to students' needs. The students were content with the fact that there were many teachers in the program whereas teachers had neutral opinion. The present study aims to suggest the importance of curriculum renewal through program evaluation which can be applied to similar language programs for the continuity and longevity of the programs.

의사소통능력 신장을 위한 웹 기반 영어 수업: 쓰기를 중심으로 (Web-Based English Instruction for Increasing Communicative Competence: Focused on Writing.)

  • The purpose of this paper is to show that Web-Based English Instruction (WBEI) focused on writing is effective in learning English in Korea. To investigate the effectiveness of WBEI, a survey was conducted to the experimental group after WBEI and a test was taken to compare the difference of the score of the experimental group and control group. According to the survey, almost all students thought that WBEI was a most effective way to improve communicative competence by exchanging electronic mails with native speakers. The test showed that the experimental group's score was somewhat low in comparison with the control group's in pre-test, but the former groups' was rather higher than the control groups' in post-test. This study also suggests that we should develop more effective Web-based English teaching-learning methods to activate WBEI in our classroom.

천자문과 로제 시소러스 범주체계 비교 (Category Comparison between Thousand-Character Text and Roget's Thesaurus)

  • 본 논문에서는 천자문과 로제 시소러스의 어휘 분류체계를 분석하였다. 전처리 작업으로서 천자문과 로제 시소러스를 데이터베이스화 하였다. 그리고 분석 작업의 용이성과 연구의 효율성을 높이기 위해서 천자문 대응 로제 시소러스 검색 시스템을 개발하였다. 연구결과 로제 시소러스 총 39개 과(Section) 가운데에서 'Creative Thought' 과를 제외하고 대부분의 과가 천자문 한자와 관련성을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 'Space in General', 'Dimensions', 'Matter in General' 3개의 과가 가장 높은 대응률을 보였다. 상관계수값도 약 0.94로 나타나 천자문 한자와 로제 시소러스의 범주 관련성이 아주 높다는 사실을 발견하였다.

The Effect of Using WhatsApp on EFL Students' Medical English Vocabulary Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic

  • The role of social networking mobile applications such as WhatsApp in enhancing second language vocabulary learning among English language learners continues to be a subject of interest for many scholars. The current study aimed at examining medical English vocabulary learning among undergraduate students using WhatsApp compared to learning vocabulary via the Blackboard platform during the Covid-19 pandemic. To this end, 108 medical students (51 males, 57 females) enrolled in a first semester English for a specific English course participated in the study. A quasi-experimental design was adopted for two groups. Fifty-three students participated in the WhatsApp group and 55 students formed the Blackboard group. A pretest-posttest design was employed to collect data. Results of t-test scores did not show a significant difference between the WhatsApp and Blackboard groups on a vocabulary test. Results of a survey that measured students' opinion of the use of WhatsApp as a platform for learning new vocabulary showed positive perceptions since participants thought that WhatsApp enhanced their learning experience.
