  • The Sambyeongudo(三變九圖) which was deducted from Cheonbu-Kyeong(天符經) is the figure about the principle of the Book of Changes in the mutual organic way, and the Five elements means the principle of Generation and the Sasang means the principle of Change, so Kugung of the concept of composing Five elements and Sasang means the principle of Generativechange, Sasangjeok-Ohaengkoan(四象的五行觀). As it is substituted to the human body, Five elements can be compared to the meridian system, Sasang can be compared to Eight extra meridians, and Kugung can be compared to Five su point Sasangjeok-Ohaengkoan. In addition, if Simpo and Samcho are compared to Cheon Ji In Samjae(天地人三才) of Trigrams, then 13 cure points can be deducted. If 13 cure points are substituted to Chilyojeongsa(七曜政事) and Moderation as another concept of Kugung, then all diseases can be cured regardless of the physical constitution and name of a disease.

A Study on Composite Materials Frame of Electric Vehicles using Impact Analysis (충돌해석을 이용한 전기자동차 복합소재 프레임 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we designed car frames for collision analysis using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) as the lighter composite material. The impact conditions were 100 percent frontal impact, 40 percent frontal impact, and 90 degrees side impact. The impact analysis measured the maximum stress at velocities of 20km/h and 40km/h for each condition and evaluated the vulnerable points in the car frame. Additional supports have been designed both to improve the weak points in existing vehicle frames, and to be taken into account when new parts are assembled. Our impact analysis compared the results of maximum stress on the car frame with and without the support.

An Experimental Dosimetry of Irregularly Shaped Fields Using Therapeutic Planning Computer (치료계획용 컴퓨터를 이용한 부정형조사면의 선량분포에 관한 실험)

  • The authors have intended to measure intrinsic dose distribution by Farmer dosimeter in irregularly shaped fields such as L.M and T shape models in order to determine dose inhomogeneity in those models. We made 2 off·axis points in each model and measured the depth dose at 1.5, 5 and 9cm below surface. The results showed $l\~3\%$ dose discrepancy between 2 points. We also measured the depth dose by geometric approximation and computer calculation in those models, and came to the conclusion that computer calculation using Clarkson's principle is simpler and the measurements are closer to the ideal data obtained by the experiment in three models of irregularly shaped fields than those of geometric approximation method.

  • In this paper, we describe a millimeter-wave radiation system developed for stimulating acupuncture points, and an analyzing system developed for monitoring the change of physiological signals after the stimulation such as ECG, skin temperature, skin potential and skin resistance. The systems are to be used to investigate the treatment efficacy and biological effects of the millimeter-wave, and eventually, can be used to study the acupuncture meridian system theory in the traditional Korean medicine.

  • Before other statistical data analysis the preprocessing steps should be performed adequately to have meaningful results. These steps include processes such as baseline correction, normalization, denoising, and multiple alignment. In this paper an algorithm for baseline correction is proposed with using the piecewise cubic Hermite interpolation with block-selected points and local minima after denoising for SELDI or MALDI mass spectrometry data.

  • The curriculum of programming education including algorithm has been recognized as a very important subject to many students majoring in natural sciences and engineering including electronic engineering and computer related departments. This study analyzed usability of the learning system of programming languages using basic algorithms so as for students to easily learn basic algorithm among the entire programming curriculum. The results show that the grade of learning achievement of experimental group using the learning system is 15 points higher than that of non-experimental group and the grade of interest, concentration, effectiveness, understanding, convenience, suitability, and attending a lecture in the next semester are 4 points or more of 5 points criterion.

  • The most recent, 80 mega pixels digital camera appeared through the development of digital technology, and nonmetric digital cameras have been using in various field of photogrammetry. In this study, we experimented lens calibration using aerial photographs and ground control points. The aerial photographs were taken a non-metric digital camera which is CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) 21.1 mega pixels sensor and 35mm lens at a helicopter. And the ground control points were selected on the 1:1,000 plotting origin data. As a result, we calculated focal length, PPA(Principal Point of Autocollimation) and symmetric radial distortion coefficients from the lens. Also, RMSE(root mean square error) and maximum residual of the ground control points from the aerial triangulation were compared before and after calibration. And we found that the accuracy of the after calibration was improved very significantly.

Study on Dietary Attitude, Dietary Behavior, and Nutrition Knowledge of Male High School Students in Chungnam according to Breakfast Status (충남지역 일부 남자 고등학생의 아침결식에 따른 식태도, 식행동 및 영양지식)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide fundamental data on the importance of eating breakfast by analyzing the dietary habits, dietary attitude, dietary behavior, and nutrition knowledge between of male high school students according to breakfast eating status. The subjects consisted of 400 male high school students living in Chungnam. There was no significant difference according to grade, height, and weight between students who skipped breakfast and those who ate breakfast. Further, satisfaction and perception about body weight were not statistically different between the two groups. Regarding relationships with friends, to the response 'I have a lot of relationships with friends' was 25.5% in the skipping breakfast group and 45.7% in the eating breakfast group. The academic records of the students who ate breakfast were much higher. Meal regularity, meal satisfaction, and dietary attitude of the eating breakfast group were better than those of the skipping breakfast group. Regarding the level of nutritional knowledge, students who skipped breakfast scored $7.6{\pm}2.9$ points while the students who ate breakfast scores $7.9{\pm}3.1$ points, indicating no significant difference. The students who ate breakfast had better friendships, higher academic achievement, and better dietary behavior and attitude. Therefore, it is necessary to increase nutrition education and reduce the skipping of breakfast through a variety of methods, such as school food service and simple recipes for Korean food. It should also be considered that nutrition education for parents be widely provided.

A Background Segmentation and Feature Point Extraction Method of Human Motion Recognition (동작인식을 위한 배경 분할 및 특징점 추출 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel background segmentation and feature point extraction method of a human motion for the augmented reality game. First, our method transforms input image from RGB color space to HSV color space, then segments a skin colored area using double threshold of H, S value. And it also segments a moving area using the time difference images and then removes the noise of the area using the Hessian affine region detector. The skin colored area with the moving area is segmented as a human motion. Next, the feature points for the human motion are extracted by calculating the center point for each block in the previously obtained image. The experiments on various input images show that our method is capable of correct background segmentation and feature points extraction 12 frames per second.

Structure Extraction in 3D Cloud Points Using Color Information and Hough Transform (색상 정보와 호프변환을 이용한 3차원 점군데이터 구조물 추출 기법 연구)

  • In this paper, a new extraction algorithm for artificial structure in 3D cloud points of terrestrial LIDAR is described, considering that various obstacles in terrestrial LIDAR make it difficult to apply conventional algorithms which are designed for air-born LIDAR data. Firstly we use the R, G, B color information from the terrestrial LIDAR data to discriminate among the massive 3D cloud points. Hough transform is then applied to estimate the straight lines that correspond to the target structure. Finally, the structure is extracted by comparing the distance between the estimated line and 3D cloud points. The proposed algorithm is efficient in the sense that it requires the user interaction only when the reference colors are obtained. Computer simulation shows the performance to be quite satisfactory.
