신생아돌보기프로그램이 결혼이주여성 임산부의 양육지식, 양육스트레스 및 양육효능감에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Newborn Care Education Program on Child-rearing Knowledge, Child-rearing Stress, and Child-rearing Self-efficacy of Immigrant Pregnant Women)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to evaluate the effects of a newborn care education promotion program on child-rearing knowledge, child rearing stress, and child rearing self-efficacy of immigrant pregnant women. Methods: The subjects were 23 immigrant pregnant women who voluntarily participated in the study in D city. The program was provided, once a week for 90 minutes for a period of 3 weeks. The outcome variables were child-rearing knowledge, child-rearing stress, and child rearing self-efficacy. Data was collected from April 4 to June 24, 2011, through self-administered questionnaires. Results: The program significantly improved child rearing knowledge, child rearing stress, and newborn care self-efficacy for married immigrant pregnant women who participated in the program compared to women who did not participate. Conclusion: The results suggest that the reproductive health promotion program has an affirmative effect on child-rearing knowledge, child rearing stress, and child rearing self-efficacy of married immigrant pregnant women. It is suggested, therefore, that the educational program be presented to married immigrant woman at public health centers to enhance their confidence in child-rearing.

아버지의 양육수행, 양육스트레스 및 양육지식이 부모효능감에 미치는 영향 -7세 이하 자녀를 둔 맞벌이 가정을 중심으로- (The effects of father's parenting behavior and stress, and knowledge on child rearing on his parenting self-efficacy)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relative effects of father's parenting behavior, parenting stress and knowledge on bringing up children on his parenting self-efficacy. Two hundred and seventy fathers with children under the age of seven participated in this study. Fathers showed a lower level of parenting stress and a higher level of knowledge on child rearing. A higher level of parenting self-efficacy was observed in fathers who have good jobs. The factors of father's parenting behavior, parenting stress and knowledge on rearing children were significant variables in predicting his parenting self-efficacy. A factor of knowledge on child rearing was the best predictor of father's parenting self-efficacy.

  • This study investigates the infant's cognitive and motor development, mother's parenting knowledge, and father's participation of child-rearing according to demographic variables and child-care related variables. A total of 112 infants aged from 11.5 months to 12.5 months old were tested by Korean Bayley Scales of Infant Development II; in addition, their mothers participated in the survey. The major results were as follows: First, among five areas of parenting knowledge, mothers attained the highest score on socio-emotional development and the lowest on cognitive and language development. Second, fathers participation in child-rearing were related to their income and the time to start child-care center. Third, the development of infants were positively associated with the father's participation in child-rearing. The implications for designing child-care policy and parent education program were discussed.

미숙아 발달 및 양육에 대한 어머니의 지식과 요구도 (Knowledge and Needs of Premature Infant Development and Rearing for Mothers with Premature Infants)

  • Purpose: This study was to examine the mother's knowledge of premature development and rearing and their education needs in order to provide information to develop an education program for premature mothers. Methods: The study participants was 73 mothers of premature infants. Knowledge on premature infant's development and rearing was measured by measurement tools developed by previous research. The education needs about development and rearing were measured by self-report questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-Test, ANOVA using SPSS 20.0. Results: The score of knowledge on development was 59.3 out of 100. The category of knowledge on language development was rated the highest, and motor development category was the lowest. The score of knowledge on rearing was 77.8 out of 100. The knowledge on bathing category was rated the highest and defecation category was the lowest. The growth education needs for premature infant development was the highest education needs of premature infant development. The method for developmental improvement was the highest education needs of premature infant rearing. Conclusion: The results showed that premature infant mothers have less knowledge on premature development than premature rearing, also mothers were interested in development and there were many needs on premature infant's development.

어머니의 미숙아 발달지식, 양육지식, 퇴원 후 보건의료서비스 이용이 모성자신감에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Child Development Knowledge, Rearing Knowledge and Use of Health Care Service on Maternal Confidence among Mothers with Premature Infants)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine how child development knowledge, child rearing knowledge, and use of healthcare services after discharge affect maternal confidence among mothers of premature infants. Methods: Participants in this study were 55 mothers who were involved in internet communities for mothers with premature infants and 30 mothers who visited hospitals for follow up care after having their babies discharged from Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in South Korea. Results: Presence of operation history, child development and rearing knowledge, and use of healthcare service explained 12.2% of maternal confidence. Presence of operation history (${\beta}=.32$, p<.05) and child development knowledge (${\beta}=.52$, p<.05) were significant predictors for maternal confidence. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that mothers with premature infants need further education especially on motor development, developmental knowledge, and knowledge related to operations for mothers whose child had surgery in the NICU. Also information about services provided from community health services for premature infants need to be advertised and distributed.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to explore foreign immigrant mothers' experiences of pregnancy, childbirth, and child rearing. Methods: Ten married female migrants were selected by a purposive and snowball sampling method. Data were collected during the period from September to November, 2009 by individual in-depth interviews and all interviews were audio-taped and transcribed verbatim. Results: Ten categories were induced: In pregnancy and childbirth domain, social support-request help to their own parents, social support-depending on husband and mother's in law, Enduring emesis-gravidarum in strange environment were extracted. In Chid-rearing domain, child-rearing overburden, lack of self-confidence on maternal role, child-rearing difficulties due to language barrier, lack of information and education on child-rearing, lack of accessibility to public health care services, expectation of child's assimilation in Korea, financial strain in child-rearing. Conclusion: This study provides basic knowledge regarding married female migrants' experiences related to pregnancy, childbirth, and child rearing. The findings of the study will help health professionals designing effective interventions for married female migrants with difficulties related to child care, parenting, rearing.

어머니의 자녀 감독지식과 근원에 관한 연구 (Variables Associated with Maternal Monitoring of Child's Whereabouts and Daily Activities)

  • This study of variables associated with maternal monitoring of child's whereabouts and daily activities was conducted with 1500 children (8 and 13 years of age) and their mothers. They responded to questionnaires on monitoring knowledge, sources of maternal information (maternal solicitation and/or child disclosure), and demographic variables. Data were analyzed by Pearson's r, ANOVA, and regression analysis. Mothers' knowledge of her child's activities and whereabouts and the sources of her knowledge were associated with mothers' higher level of education. Child's age was related to mother's knowledge and maternal solicitation. Maternal solicitation and child's age were highly predictive of mothers' knowledge of her child's whereabouts and activities. Results of this study may have applications for parental supervision and child rearing attitudes.

영유아기 자녀를 둔 북한이탈여성의 자녀양육에 관한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on the Child-rearing Experience of North Korean Female Defectors with Young Children)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to learn from Korean female defectors about their views of child-rearing experiences in South Korea. This study explored how 7 North Korean female defectors with young children developed child-rearing microideologies that acknowledge both North Korean cultural ideology and South Korean cultural ideology. Methods: To examine North Korean female defectors' child-rearing experiences, indepth interviews with 7 North Korean female defectors with young children were conducted. Results: Four theme clusters, 11 themes, and 47 meanings were found from a phenomenological analysis with indepth interview data. Based on the themes, three types of child-rearing microideologies were identified: (1) separation,(2) assimilation, and (3) integration. Each type of child-rearing microideology can be understood with a meaningful phrase "there is no choice", "nevertheless" and "because I came here to be better," respectively. Conclusion/Implications: This study provides knowledge on the individual-specified child-rearing strategy of North Korean female defectors with young children and suggests the necessity of diverse policy proposals based on the child-rearing microideology types.

'유아교사'를 경험한 '엄마'의 양육특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Parenting Characteristics of mothers experienced child care teachers)

  • 본 연구는 대학에서의 양육지식에 대한 학습을 바탕으로 현장에서 영유아 교사를 수행한 경험이 실제 자녀 양육에 미치는 영향은 어떠한지 알아봄으로써 이를 통해 예비부모시기에 필요한 양육지식에 관한 틀을 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 2015년 7월 둘째 주부터 8월 셋째 주까지 총 7주에 걸쳐 참여자별로 심층면담 5회를 실시하였다. 연구 결과 유아교사 출신 엄마의 양육과정에서는 대화가 중심이 되고, 아이 방을 유치원 교실과 같이 활동 영역을 준비해주는 환경구성을 중시하였으며, 내 아이는 달라야 한다는 부담감과 아는 만큼 엄마로서 스스로를 평가하고 반성하는 모습을 부였다. 이는 경험의 재창조를 통해 양육과정이 나아갈 방향을 알고 긍정적인 양육을 실천하고 있음을 의미한다.

자녀양육에 대한 국내 간호학분야 연구논문 분석 (An Analysis of Nursing Research on Child Rearing in Korea)

  • 목적 본 연구의 목적은 국내 간호학분야에서 수행된 양육에 대한 연구논문을 양육의 속성과 지식체 유형을 중심으로 분석하여 추후 자녀양육에 대한 연구와 간호실무의 방향을 설정하는 근거자료를 제시하는 것이다. 방법 KoreaMed, 한국학술정보, 과학기술정보통합서비스, 과학기술학회 마을, 한국교욱학술정보원의 5개 온라인 사이트를 통해 201편의 논문을 선정하였고, 개념을 양육의 속성과 지식체 유형별(기술적, 설명적, 처방적 지식)로 분석하였다. 결과 연구설계는 실험연구가 27.3%, 비실험연구가 72.7%였고, 연구대상자는 양육자로는 어머니가 가장 많았고(36.0%), 피양육자로는 신생아가 가장 많았다(29.6%). 양육속성별로는 양육에 대한 반응 영역이 가장 많았고(49.9%), 양육지식 영역이 가장 적었다(2.2%). 양육속성의 하위영역별로는 양육에 대한 반응 영역에서는 양육스트레스, 양육자신감/효능감 양육태도 등의 순이었고, 양육실제 영역에서는 애착, 부모-자녀 상호작용, 양육행동/양육실천 등의 순으로 나타났다. 아동의 성장/발달/행동 영역에서는 영아의 성장과 발달, 행동/건강 문제 등의 순으로 나타났다. 지식체 유형별로는 설명적 지식이 가장 많았고(55.2%), 처방적 지식(30.0%), 기술적 지식(14.9%)의 순으로 나타났다. 결론 자녀양육과 관련하여 다양한 지식체가 개발되었으나 처방적 지식의 개발이 미흡하며, 발달단계별 양육과 어머니 외의 다른 양육자 대상 연구가 부족하였고, 양육의 실제적인 측면보다는 양육에 대한 반응에 관한 연구가 더 많았다. 따라서 양육의 공동 책임자인 아버지와 대리 양육자 대상의 연구, 아동의 발달 단계별 건강을 위한 아동간호학의 차별화된 지식 개발 연구, 양육실제를 유도하는 처방적 지식을 개발하는 연구와 아동양육의 국가적 중요성을 감안하여 아동양육정책 개발 연구를 제언한다.
