  • This paper describes the design and implementation of C standard library for real-time operating system Q+, that is being developed for the internet appliance. The C library in the real-time operating system should be defined according to the standard interface and support the concurrent execution of threads. The implemented C standard library is reentrant and follows POSIX.l standard interface. And, the C standard library functions, which are adequate to the Q+ application and commonly provided by commercial real-time operating systems, are selected among POSIX.l standard functions. The C standard library is implemented on the Q+ kernel and D-TV set-top box according to the implementation sequence, which is determined by analyzing the relation of function calls.

  • In this paper, a new blind signal processing scheme for equalization in fading and impulsive-noise channel environments is introduced based on probability density functionmatching method and a set of Dirac-delta functions. Gaussian kernel of the proposed blind algorithm has the effect of cutting out the outliers on the difference between the desired level values and impulse-infected outputs. And also the proposed algorithm has relatively less sensitivity to channel eigenvalue ratio and has reduced computational complexity compared to the recently introduced correntropy algorithm. According to these characteristics, simulation results show that the proposed blind algorithm produces superior performance in multi-path communication channels corrupted with impulsive noise.

  • This paper presents a CAD interface system that imports CAD model data and exports input information to a CAPP(Compute Aided Process Planning) system to generate a sequence for block assembly operations. In developing this system we use an open architecture CAD kernel, OpenCASCASE. The functions of the system developed are visualization of the product, definition of relations between parts, and generation of relation graph and input file for CAPP. The functions are demonstrated with a simple example.

  • This paper deals with the estimations of the least squares support vector regression when the responses are subject to randomly right censoring. The estimation is performed via two steps - the ordinary least squares support vector regression and the least squares support vector regression with censored data. We use the empirical fact that the estimated regression functions subject to randomly right censoring are close to the true regression functions than the observed failure times subject to randomly right censoring. The hyper-parameters of model which affect the performance of the proposed procedure are selected by a generalized cross validation function. Experimental results are then presented which indicate the performance of the proposed procedure.

  • In this work, the model of magneto-thermoelasticity based on memory-dependent derivative (MDD) is applied to a one-dimensional thermal shock problem for a functionally graded half-space whose surface is assumed to be traction free and subjected to an arbitrary thermal loading. The $Lam{\acute{e}}^{\prime}s$ modulii are taken as functions of the vertical distance from the surface of thermoelastic perfect conducting medium in the presence of a uniform magnetic field. Laplace transform and the perturbation techniques are used to derive the solution in the Laplace transform domain. A numerical method is employed for the inversion of the Laplace transforms. The effects of the time-delay on the temperature, stress and displacement distribution for different linear forms of Kernel functions are discussed. Numerical results are represented graphically and discussed.

  • Since the Mittag-Leffler function was introduced in 1903, a variety of extensions and generalizations with diverse applications have been presented and investigated. In this paper, we aim to introduce some presumably new and remarkably different extensions of the Mittag-Leffler function, and use these to present the pathway fractional integral formulas. We point out relevant connections of some particular cases of our main results with known results.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to show that over a large class of bounded domains Ω ⊂ ℂ2, for 1 < p < ∞, the Bergman projection 𝓟 is bounded from Lp(Ω, dV ) to the Bergman space Ap(Ω); from L(Ω) to the holomorphic Bloch space BlHol(Ω); and from L1(Ω, P(z, z)dV) to the holomorphic Besov space Besov(Ω), where P(ζ, z) is the Bergman kernel for Ω.

  • Introduction: Histone deacetylases (HDAC) are a class of enzymes that remove acetyl groups from ${\varepsilon}$-N-acetyl lysine amino acids of histone proteins. Their action is opposite to that of histone acetyltransferase that adds acetyl groups to these lysines. Only few HDAC inhibitors are approved and used as anti-cancer therapeutics. Thus, discovery of new and potential HDAC inhibitors are necessary in the effective treatment of cancer. Materials and Methods: This study proposed a method using support vector machine (SVM) to classify HDAC8 inhibitors and non-inhibitors in early-phase virtual compound filtering and screening. The 100 experimentally known HDAC8 inhibitors including 52 inhibitors and 48 non-inhibitors were used in this study. A set of molecular descriptors was calculated for all compounds in the dataset using ADRIANA. Code of Molecular Networks. Different kernel functions available from SVM Tools of free support vector machine software and training and test sets of varying size were used in model generation and validation. Results and Conclusion: The best model obtained using kernel functions has shown 75% of accuracy on test set prediction. The other models have also displayed good prediction over the test set compounds. The results of this study can be used as simple and effective filters in the drug discovery process.

  • A motion vector re-estimation algorithm for image downscaling in discrete consine transform domain is presented. Kernel functions are difined using SAD (Aum of Absolute Difference) and edge information of a macroblock. The proposed method uses these kernel functions to re-estimate a new motion vector of the downscaled image. The motion vectors from the incoming bitstream of transcoder are reused to reduce computation burden of the block-matching motion estimation, and we also reuse the given motion vectors. Several experiments in this paper show that the computation efficiency and the PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) and better than the previous methods.

  • Time-out is one of the basic but important functions in real-time programming. However, the C language used commonly in the embedded real-time systems doesn't support this capability. For this capability, there have been numerous studies on language extension and/or special purpose real-time kernel (or engine). Those require preprocessor or new kernel support. In this paper, we propose a time-out facility supported by a library and some macro functions with a minimum dependency on operating systems. Furthermore, we also provide a structured _within statement, a macro function which makes programming easy. We have implemented this for the LINUX and the DOS environment, and for the POSIX multithread environment as well.
