  • This paper discusses how to manage supply chain disruption risks from natural disasters or other low-likelihood-high-impact risk drivers. After the catastrophic earthquake in Eastern Japan and the severe flood in Thailand, most companies have been attempting to re-establish the business continuity plan to prevent their supply chain from disruption. However, the challenges for managers and individual risks are often interrelated, and thus, actions that mitigate one risk can end up being no contribution as a whole. In this paper, we describe a framework for assessing how much impact individual mitigation strategies have on the entire supply chain protection against disruption, using network reliability. We propose three categories of risk-mitigation approaches: Stabilization, Absorption, and Duplication. We analyze the situation under which each of these strategies is the best suitable. With a clear understanding of relations between these mitigation strategies and the entire supply chain risks, managers can select effective risk-reduction approaches to their supply chain.

  • For topological spaces X, Y and the function f : X → Y, it induces a function gr(f) : X → X x Y defined as gr(f)(χ) = (χ, f(χ)), for every χ ∈ X. It deals with some preliminary investigations relating to the behavior of functions and its graph functions. It has also been found that continuous functions are homotopic if and only if their graph functions are homotopic.

  • We introduce the concepts of fuzzy ${\delta}$-interior and show that the set of all fuzzy ${\delta}$-open sets is also a fuzzy topology, which is called the fuzzy ${\delta}$-topology. We obtain equivalent forms of fuzzy ${\delta}$-continuity. More-over, the notions of fuzzy ${\delta}$-compactness and fuzzy locally ${\delta}$-compactness are defined and their basic properties under fuzzy ${\delta}$-continuous mappings are investigated.

  • The objective of this paper was to cope with the verification of the message transfer protocol that integrates the electronic signature and the distribution and authentication of public key in TCP/IP using security continuity management Choquet fuzzy integral compared with fuzzy integral. They were classified into the security technology, the security policy, the electronic document processing, the electronic document transportation and the encryption and decryption keys in its function. The measures of items of the message security protocol were produced for the verification of the implemented document in every function.

  • A $C^*$-convergence algorithm for finite element analysis has been proposed by Bigdeli and Kelly (1997) and elements for the first three levels applied to planar elasticity have been defined. The fourth level element for the new family is described in this paper and the rate of convergence for the $C^*$-convergence algorithm is investigated numerically. The new family adds derivatives of displacements as nodal variables and the number of nodes and elements can therefore be kept constant during refinement. A problem exists on interfaces where the derivatives are required to be discontinuous. This problem is addressed for curved boundaries and a procedure is suggested to resolve the excessive interelement continuity which occurs.

  • The classical 8-node isoparametric serendipity element uses parametric shape functions for both test and trial functions. Although this element performs well in general, it yields poor results under severe mesh distortions. The distortion sensitivity is caused by the lack of continuity and/or completeness of shape functions used for test and trial functions. A recent element using parametric and metric shape functions for constructing the test and trial functions exhibits distortion immunity. This paper discusses the choice of parametric or metric shape functions as the basis for test and/or trial functions, satisfaction of continuity and completeness requirements, and their connection to distortion sensitivity. Also, the performances of four types of elements, viz., parametric, metric, parametric-metric, and metric-parametric, are compared for distorted meshes, and their merits and demerits are discussed.

  • Management activities of Business was globalization and had changed to a global management. Under these circumstances, business management factors and the environment has changed rapidly. Accordingly, the number of risk categories in business has increased. Especially in recent years, the convergence of industry with IT has a pivotal role in the industry's business processes. However, information systems in the Internet environment increased the efficiency of business management. Also, it increased the degree of risk and the occurrence ripple effects. In this study, we proposed risk management framework for ensuring business continuity management in information system based automobile manufacturing industry. In detail, we analysis business process in automotive manufacturing industry and identify information assets and we analysis and assess the risk.
