GRADIENT ALMOST RICCI SOLITONS WITH VANISHING CONDITIONS ON WEYL TENSOR AND BACH TENSOR

  • In this paper we consider gradient almost Ricci solitons with weak conditions on Weyl and Bach tensors. We show that a gradient almost Ricci soliton has harmonic Weyl curvature if it has fourth order divergence-free Weyl tensor, or it has divergence-free Bach tensor. Furthermore, if its Weyl tensor is radially flat, we prove such a gradient almost Ricci soliton is locally a warped product with Einstein fibers. Finally, we prove a rigidity result on compact gradient almost Ricci solitons satisfying an integral condition.

  • The warped product L$\times$$_{f}$ F of a line L and a Kaehler manifold F is a typical example of Kenmotsu manifold. In this paper we determine submanifolds of L$\times$$_{f}$ F which are tangent to the structure vector field and satisfy certain conditions concerning with Ricci curvature and mean curvature.ure.

  • In this article, we establish sharp relations between the sectional curvature and the shape operator and also between the k-Ricci curvature and the shape operator for a totally real submanifold in a locally conformal Kaehler space form of constant holomorphic sectional curvature with arbitrary codimension. mean curvature, sectional curvature, shape operator, k-Ricci curvature, locally conformal Kaehler space form, totally real submanifold.

  • The main objective of the paper is to provide a full classification of quasi-conformally recurrent Riemannian manifolds with harmonic quasi-conformal curvature tensor. Among others it is shown that a quasi-conformally recurrent manifold with harmonic quasi-conformal curvature tensor is any one of the following: (i) quasi-conformally symmetric, (ii) conformally flat, (iii) manifold of constant curvature, (iv) vanishing scalar curvature, (v) Ricci recurrent.

  • We study rigidity results for the Einstein metrics as the critical points of a family of known quadratic curvature functionals involving the scalar curvature, the Ricci curvature and the Riemannian curvature tensor, characterized by some pointwise inequalities involving the Weyl curvature and the traceless Ricci curvature. Moreover, we also provide a few rigidity results for locally conformally flat critical metrics.

  • We prove that if a real hypersurface with constant mean curvature of a complex space form satisfying ▽$_{ξ/}$S = 0 and Sξ = $\sigma$ξ for a smooth function $\sigma$, then the structure vector field ξ is principal, where S denotes the Ricci tensor of the hypersurface.

  • We consider the parabolic evolution differential equation such as heat equation and porus-medium equation on a Riemannian manifold M whose Ricci curvature is bounded below by $-(n-1)k^2$ and bounded below by 0 on some amount of M. We derive some bounds of differential quantities for a positive solution and some inequalities which resemble Harnack inequalities.
