  • In this paper, we would like to give an answer to Problem 1 below issued firstly in [17]. In fact, by imposing some conditions on the mean curvature of the initial hypersurface and the coefficient function of the forcing term of a forced mean curvature flow considered here, we can obtain that the first eigenvalues of the Laplace and the p-Laplace operators are monotonic under this flow. Surprisingly, during this process, we get an interesting byproduct, that is, without any complicate constraint, we can give lower bounds for the first nonzero closed eigenvalue of the Laplacian provided additionally the second fundamental form of the initial hypersurface satisfies a pinching condition.

  • In this article, we study the relations of horizontally homothetic harmonic morphisms with the stability of totally geodesic submanifolds. Let $\varphi:(M^n,g)\rightarrow(N^m,h)$ be a horizontally homothetic harmonic morphism from a Riemannian manifold into a Riemannian manifold of non-positive sectional curvature and let T be the tensor measuring minimality or totally geodesics of fibers of $\varphi$. We prove that if T is parallel and the horizontal distribution is integrable, then for any totally geodesic submanifold P in N, the inverse set, $\varphi^{-1}$(P), is volume-stable in M. In case that P is a totally geodesic hypersurface the condition on the curvature can be weakened to Ricci curvature.

  • The present study initially identify the generalized symmetric connections of type (α, β), which can be regarded as more generalized forms of quarter and semi-symmetric connections. The quarter and semi-symmetric connections are obtained respectively when (α, β) = (1, 0) and (α, β) = (0, 1). Taking that into account, a new generalized symmetric metric connection is attained on Lorentzian para-Sasakian manifolds. In compliance with this connection, some results are obtained through calculation of tensors belonging to Lorentzian para-Sasakian manifold involving curvature tensor, Ricci tensor and Ricci semi-symmetric manifolds. Finally, we consider CR-submanifolds admitting a generalized symmetric metric connection and prove many interesting results.

  • The aim of the present work is to study the properties of three-dimensional Lorentzian para-Kenmotsu manifolds equipped with a Yamabe soliton. It is proved that every three-dimensional Lorentzian para-Kenmotsu manifold is Ricci semi-symmetric if and only if it is Einstein. Also, if the metric of a three-dimensional semi-symmetric Lorentzian para-Kenmotsu manifold is a Yamabe soliton, then the soliton is shrinking and the flow vector field is Killing. We also study the properties of three-dimensional Ricci symmetric and 𝜂-parallel Lorentzian para-Kenmotsu manifolds with Yamabe solitons. Finally, we give a non-trivial example of three-dimensional Lorentzian para-Kenmotsu manifold.

  • The object of the present paper is to study N(${\kappa}$)-quasi Einstein manifolds. Existence of N(${\kappa}$)-quasi Einstein manifolds are proved. Physical example of N(${\kappa}$)-quasi Einstein manifold is also given. Finally, Weyl-semisymmetric N(${\kappa}$)-quasi Einstein manifolds have been considered.

  • We discuss the integrability of orthogonal almost complex structures on Riemannian products of even-dimensional round spheres and give a partial answer to the question raised by E. Calabi concerning the existence of complex structures on a product manifold of a round 2-sphere and of a round 4-sphere.

  • In this paper, we show several vanishing type theorems for p-harmonic ${\ell}$-forms on Riemannian manifolds ($p{\geq}2$). First of all, we consider complete non-compact immersed submanifolds $M^n$ of $N^{n+m}$ with flat normal bundle, we prove that any p-harmonic ${\ell}$-form on M is trivial if N has pure curvature tensor and M satisfies some geometric conditions. Then, we obtain a vanishing theorem on Riemannian manifolds with a weighted $Poincar{\acute{e}}$ inequality. Final, we investigate complete simply connected, locally conformally flat Riemannian manifolds M and point out that there is no nontrivial p-harmonic ${\ell}$-form on M provided that the Ricci curvature has suitable bound.
