In amorphous or microcrystalline thin-film silicon solar cells, p-i-n structure is used instead of p/n junction structure as in wafer-based Si solar cells. Hence, these p-i-n structured solar cells inevitably consist of many interfaces and the cell efficiency critically depends on the effective control of these interfaces. In this study, in-situ plasma treatment process of the interfaces was developed to improve the efficiency of a-Si:H solar cell. The p-i-n cell was deposited using a single-chamber VHF-PECVD system, which was driven by a pulsed-RF generator at 80 MHz. In order to solve the cross-contamination problem of p-i layer, high RF power was applied without supplying SiH4 gas after p-layer deposition, which effectively cleaned B contamination inside chamber wall from p-layer deposition. In addition to the p-i interface control, various interface control techniques such as thin layer of TiO2 deposition to prevent H2 plasma reduction of FTO layer, multiple applications of thin i-layer deposition and H2 plasma treatment, H2 plasma treatment of i-layer prior to n-layer deposition, etc. were developed. In order to reduce the reflection at the air-glass interface, anti-reflective SiO2 coating was also adopted. The initial solar cell efficiency over 11% could be achieved for test cell area of 0.2 $cm^2$.

This study illustrated the process of bar structure and vegetation coverage to understand historical changes of riverbed and suppose adaptive management in Tan-chun ecological landscape reserve. The study site that lower reach of the Tan-chun are known as habitats of migratory bird and aquatic species with dynamic riverbed. Aerial photos from 2006 to 2016 and surveyed vegetation data in 2006 and 2016 were used by analysis of landscape changes and comparison of vegetation coverage. Study area is classified into 3 sites (A: straight site, B: meandering site, C: meandering and junction with Yangjae-cheon). The result showed that bar area of A and C sites gradually increased, B site decreased during 10 years. Also, ratio of bar area to vegetation coverage and level of vegetation coverage increased in all sites during 10 years. All sites seem to have experienced the terrestrialization with time. On the other hand, ratio of annual vegetation increased and ratio of perennial vegetation decreased in C site in 2016 compare to 2006. Because area of Japanese Hops (Humulus japonicas) as one type of annual vegetation increased, other vegetation could not grow up by its powerful expandability. It is time to make active adaptive management based on not only continuos monitoring but also revaluation of river conditions in order to enhance habitat quality and quantity in Tan-chun ecological landscape reserve.
Oleamide (cis-9-octadecenamide) is endogenous primary amide of fatty acid that is produced in small amounts in animal brains. It is known to induce sleep and to lower temperature by destroying the lipid plasma membrane structure of cells, thereby disclosing gap junction channels. To develop a new biological production method for oleamide, a screening program was conducted to isolate a microorganism producing oleamide. Among 1,500 soil microorganisms tested, KK90378 exhibited a potent positive reaction with Dragendoff`s reagent, used to detect the primary amide of oleamide. KK90378 was identified as a Streptomyces species based on cultural and morpohological characteristics, the presence of diaminopimelic acid in the cell wall, and the sugar patterns for the whole-cell extrat. Streptomyces sp. KK90378 produced oleamide 3 days after culture at $28^{\circ}C$, pH 7.2 A series of purification steps, including hexane extraction, silica gel column, and preparative thin layer chromatographies, were performed for the purification of oleamide. A spectrophotometric analysis using $^1H$, $^13C$-NMR, and GC-MS confirmed that the chemical structure of the purified oleamide was identical to that of authentic oleamide.
Two hepcidin paralogs (ojhamp1 and ojhamp2) were isolated and characterized from a euryhaline Javanese ricefish (Oryzias javanicus: Beloniformes). The ojhamp1 cDNA encoded 90 or 91 amino acids (aa) of a typical HAMP1 preproprotein. This preproprotein is believed to cleave and yield the 66 or 67 aa-proprotein, followed by the 26 aa-mature peptide, composed of 8 conserved cysteine residues and the QSHL amino terminal motif. The ojhamp2 cDNA encoded 89 aa of HAMP2 preproprotein, cleaved to yield a 65 aa proprotein, and subsequently the 25 aa-mature peptide. The mature OJHAMP1 possessed a cationic isoelectric point (pI), whereas OJHAMP2 had an anionic charge. At the genomic level, both ojhamp1 and ojhamp2 share a conserved tripartite structure (three exons interrupted by two introns) with other vertebrate hepcidin genes. However, the ojhamp1 was shown to exist as two distinct mRNA species, encoding 90 or 91 aa, due to alternative splicing at the junction site between intron I and exon II. Both ojhamp1 and ojhamp2 transcripts were detected in a wide range of tissue types with varying levels of basal expression, although the highest expression was observed in the liver for both isoforms. Transcriptional response to bacterial challenge using Edwardsiella tarda showed that ojhamp1 was moderately upregulated in the liver but remained unchanged in the kidney. However, the ojhamp2 was significantly suppressed in both the kidney and liver, suggesting a potential diversification between the two paralogs.

In the device structure of ITO/hole injection layer/N, N'-biphenyl-N, N'-bis-(1-naphenyl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]4,4'-diamine(NPB)/tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum$(Alq_3)/Al$, we investigated an effect of hole-injection materials (PTFE, PVK) on the electrical characteristics and efficiency of organic light-emitting diodes. A thermal evaporation was performed to make a thickness of NPB layer with a evaporation rate of $0.5\~1.0\;\AA/s$ in a base pressure of $5\times10^{-6}$ Torr. We measured current-voltage characteristics and efficiency with a thickness variation of hole-injection layer. The PTFE and PVK hole-injection layer improve a performance of the device in several aspects, such as good mechanical junction, reducing the operating voltage and energy band adjustment. Compared with the devices without a hole-injection layer, we have obtained that an optimal thickness of NPB was 20 nm in the device structure of $ITO/NPB/Alq_3/Al$. And using the PTFE or PVK hole-injection layer, the external quantum efficiencies of the devices were improved by $24.5\%\;and\;51.3\%$, respectively.

Poly-Si wafers with resistivity of 1 [${\Omega}$-cm[ and thickness of 50 [${\mu}m$] were used as a starting material. Various efficiency influencing parameters such as rear surface recombination velocity and minority carrier diffusion length in the base region, front surface recombination velocity, junction depth and doping concentration in the Emitter layer, BSF thickness and doping concentration were investigated. Optimized cell parameters were given as rear surface recombination of 1000 [cm/sec], minority carrier diffusion length in the base region 50 [${\mu}m$], front surface recombination velocity 100 [cm/sec], sheet resistivity of emitter layer 100 [${\Omega}/{\Box}$], BSF thickness 0.5 [${\mu}m$], doping concentration $5{\times}10^{19}\;cm^{-3}$. Among the investigated variables, we learn that a diffusion length of base layer acts as a key factor to achieve conversion efficiency higher than 19.8 %. Further details of simulation parameters and their effects to cell characteristics are discussed in this paper.

Deep sub-micron bulk CMOS circuits require gate electrode materials such as metal silicide and titanium silicide for gate oxides. Many authors have conducted research to improve the quality of the sub-micron gate oxide. However, few have reported on the electrical quality and reliability of an ultra-thin gate. In this paper, we will recommend a novel shallow trench isolation structure and a two-step TiS $i_2$ formation process to improve the corner metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) for sub-0.1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ VLSI devices. Differently from using normal LOCOS technology, deep sub-micron CMOS devices using the novel shallow trench isolation (STI) technology have unique "inverse narrow-channel effects" when the channel width of the device is scaled down. The titanium silicide process has problems because fluorine contamination caused by the gate sidewall etching inhibits the silicide reaction and accelerates agglomeration. To resolve these Problems, we developed a novel two-step deposited silicide process. The key point of this process is the deposition and subsequent removal of titanium before the titanium silicide process. It was found by using focused ion beam transmission electron microscopy that the STI structure improved the narrow channel effect and reduced the junction leakage current and threshold voltage at the edge of the channel. In terms of transistor characteristics, we also obtained a low gate voltage variation and a low trap density, saturation current, some more to be large transconductance at the channel for sub-0.1${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ VLSI devices.
The solar cell electrical output parameters such as the open circuit voltage($V_{oc}$) and short circuit current density($V_{sc}$) are intrinsic characteristics depending on junction depth, doping concentration, metal contacts barriers and cell structure. As a role of thumb for solar cell design, the metal contact barriers for phosphorus doped emitter should have lower work function in order to provide lower series resistance. The fabrication of PESC(passivated emitter solar cell) structure usually involves the use of titanium as a metal contact barrier. Chromium, which work function is similar to titanium but conductance is higher than titanium is being investigated as the new metal contact barrier. Although titanium has lower work function difference than chromium, the electric performances of chromium as contact barrier are higher than titanium. This better performance is attributed to the lower resistivity from chromium. This paper, therefore, compares the attributes of metal barrier contacts using titanium and chromium.
From the research which it sees verification of the whole interpretation and local interpretation of the durability steel deck bridge a static test and it produces the test body which it sells with character and it executes smallness pul lek detailed interpretation it leads and the appropriate characteristic of smallness pul lek detailed interpretation and to sleep a nominal stress price and it compares it judges it does. The stress quality from each structure region which it follows in load stock location it analyzes and from the hazard which evaluates, the objective region the length rib and the bottom grater weld zone, the length rib and width rib connection department and the width rib with the father it divided. It investigated the stress distribution of the test body from these objective location, FEM interpretation it led and the conduct against each structure state tax it analyzed. General conduct the load stock location the floor plate is located in the center with interpretation price together symmetry characteristic to seem, it cannot be like that it cannot there is one actual test price. Like this reason the length rib and width rib connection actually production even production characteristic security it is a day when it is impossible with the curvature junction department which it blows, it follows in examination body deferment condition and form feed with the fact that it is visible a big difference even with error of some it becomes. Consequently for a data and the research which are more accurate it is judged with the fact that the effort which is prudent will be necessary.
