SiC세라믹스 동종재 접합재의 전단강도 특성 평가 (Characteristics of Shear Strength for joined SiC-SiC Ceramics)

  • SiC/SiC복합재료는 뛰어난 고온특성, 내산화성 및 크립(Creep)에 대한 저항성이 우수하고 또한 중성자에 의한 조사 손상이 다른 세라믹스에 비해서 적게 받는다는 장점으로 인하여 핵융합로의 블랑켓(Blanket), 제1벽(First-wall) 및 다이버터(Di-vertor)등의 후보재료로 적용이 기대되고 있다. SiC/SiC복합재료 제조시 가장 큰 문제점은 높은 소결온도와 압력으로 인하여 탄화규소 섬유가 손상되어 복합재료의 특성이 저하되는 것이므로 이들 재료의 전단강도 특성 평가는 매우 중요하다, 본 연구에서는 SiC제조특성과 소결온도에 대한 전단강도 특성의 평가한다.

Gait Characteristic in a Stroke Patient with an Intact Corticospinal Tract and Corticoreticular Pathway: A Case Study

  • Purpose: The prefrontal lobe, supplementary motor area, cerebellum, and basal ganglia are activated during gait. In addition, gait is controlled by nerves, such as the corticospinal tract (CST) and corticoreticular pathway (CRP). In this study, the presence of an injury to the CST and CRP was identified by diffusion tensor imaging and the characteristics of the gait pattern were investigated according to inferior cerebral artery infarction. Methods: One patient and six control subjects of a similar age participated. A 69-year-old female patient had an injury to the left basal ganglia, insular gyrus, corona radiata, dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, and postcentral gyrus due to an inferior cerebral artery infarction. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) data was acquired 4 weeks after the stroke. The kinematic and spatio-temporal parameters of gait were collected using a three-dimensional gait analysis system. Results: On 4 weeks DTI, the CST and CRP in the affected hemisphere did not show injury to the affected and unaffected hemisphere. Gait analysis showed that the cadence of spatio-temporal parameter was decreased significantly in the patient. The angle of the knee joint was decreased significantly in the affected and unaffected sides compared to the control group. Conclusion: The results of diffusion tensor imaging showed that although the patient was evaluated to be capable of an independent gait, the quality and quantity of gait might be reduced. This study could help better understand the gait ability analysis of stroke patients and the abnormal gait pattern of patients with a brain injury.

아치형 냉동저장공동 주위암반의 비정상상태 열전도 특성 및 열물성 평가 (Transient heat conduction in rock mass around arch shape cold storage cavern and estimation of in-situ thermal properties)

  • 아치형 공동의 열원 경계에 대한 열전도 특성은 반무한평면이나 원형공동에 대한 열전도 특성과는 다른 양상을 나타낸다. 본 연구에서는 지하 냉동저장 pilot plant 의 운영을 통하여 계측된 저장공동 주위안반내 온도분포패턴의 분석을 통하여 아치형 공동의 열원 경계를 갖는 새로운 열전도식을 유도하였다. 계측된 암반온도 분포패턴은 선형적 변화와 로그함수적 변화의 중간적인 양상을 보였다. 열전파에 미치는 열물성 변수들의 영향도 분석 및 도출된 열전도식과 현장계측에 의한 암반온도 분포양상의 비교를 통하여 암반의 열물성을 추정하였다. 추정된 암반의 열전도도와 비열은 실내시험에 의한 무결 암석의 열물성과 비교해 20~25%의 차이를 보였다. 이는 암반내의 절리와 지하수의 영향에 기인한 것으로 판단되는데, 앞으로 현지암반에 대한 이들 영향요소의 조사와 열물성의 측정 및 비교분석을 통하여 정량적인 상관관계의 규명이 이루어져야 할 것이다.

환경하중에 의한 장스팬 콘크리트 포장 슬래브의 컬링 거동 특성 분석 (Curling Behavior of Long-Span Concrete Pavement Slab under Environmental Loads)

  • 본 연구는 장스팬 콘크리트 포장 슬래브가 환경하중을 받아 컬링 거동을 할 때의 특성을 분석하기 위하여 수행되었다. 먼저 장스팬 포장 슬래브의 유한요소해석 모델을 구성하여 컬링 시 응력분포 특성 및 슬래브 길이, 두께, 하부지지층 강성, 슬래브 단부 구속 등이 컬링 거동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 또한 실제 시공된 장스팬 포장 슬래브를 이용하여 현장에서 환경하중에 의한 거동을 측정함으로써 컬링 거동 특성을 실험적으로도 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 장스팬 포장 슬래브는 단부에서 부터 슬래브 중앙을 따라 어느 정도 안쪽으로 들어오면 컬링에 의한 수직변위가 발생하지 않으며 응력은 이곳에서부터 일정하게 최대치를 보이게 된다. 장스팬 포장 슬래브의 길이 및 하부지지층의 강성은 최대 컬링 응력에 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 슬래브 단부의 구속은 컬링 응력이 단부까지 발생하게 하지만 최대 컬링 응력의 크기에는 거의 영향을 미치지 않았다.

행위자연계망이론을 통한 영국 도시교외지역 관리시책의 운영과정 특성 분석 -테임즈 체이스 마을 숲 조성 시책을 사례로- (An Analysis of the Urban Fringe Management Initiative's Operational Process in UK Using the Actor Network Theory - A Case Study of Thames Chase Community Forest Initiative -)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate and analyse how Community Forest Initiatives as urban fringe management initiatives made alliances with a variety of interest groups, enrol them in the urban fringe management processes using the Actor Network Theory. The Thames Chase Community Forest Initiative was selected and its area of operation included a $97 km^2$ area of green-belt area in East London. It was a instrument far improving and protecting the unique characteristics of the countryside landscape from urban developments as well as evaluating the impact of forestry inclusion in land use planning in the urban fringe. It was operated through a tiered structure comprising the Thames Chase Joint Committee and the management team. They employed a variety of devices to speak with one voice to bring about an effective operation process and to secure the enrolment of a variety of interest groups in its operational processes. Of note, the initiative's actor network impacted on improvement to and management of the countryside landscape despite not owning any land itself. As a result, when urban fringe management initiatives will be launched in South Korea to achieve a more effective and efficient urban fringe management, local councillors and representatives from public and non-government bodies should be more responsive to local communities' views and needs and work more vigorously on their behalf through lobbying, seeking media support, and so on. Moreover, better understanding and communication between local authorities' officers and management initiatives' teams are essential to avoid duplication of work practice.

대형 2행정 디젤기관의 모터구동 주유기 유량 및 송출 특성에 미치는 실린더 배압의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effect of Cylinder Back Pressure on Feed Rate and Delivery Characteristics of Motor-driven Lubricator in a Large Two-stroke Diesel Engine)

  • It is of great economic importance to minimize the cylinder wear and the consumption rate of cylinder oil in a large two-stroke diesel engine. The motor-driven cylinder lubricator was first developed fur a large two-stroke marine diesel engine made in $W{\ddot{a}}rtsil{\ddot{a}}a$ Switzerland Ltd. by the joint research of industry-university. In this study, the effects of revolution speed, plunger stroke and cylinder back pressure on maximum discharge and delivery pressures, delivery delay duration, and oil feed rate are experimentally investigated by the home-manufactured cylinder lubricator. The maximum discharge pressure with a spot of 0.03 m and the maximum loss pressure at spots of 5, 6.78 and i 0 m away from the end of lubricator slot are increased as plunger stroke, revolution speed and back pressure are elevated, and the delivery delay duration is shortened as plunger stroke, revolution speed and oil pipe length are increased. Also, oil feed rate is increased as plunger stroke and revolution speed are raised, but lowered as the back pressure is increased.

용암류 특성에 의한 제주도 폭포의 유형화 (Classification of Waterfalls in Jeju Island Based on Properties of a Lava Flow)

  • 제주도 폭포의 지형 특성을 파악하기 위하여 한라산 산록과 서귀포 해안지대에 소재하는 26개 폭포를 대상으로 용암류의 형태와 물리적 성질에 의해 폭포를 분류하고, 후퇴프로세스를 검토하였다. 폭포벽과 폭호를 구성하고 있는 용암류 유형과 매수에 근거하여 단일 용암류형, 복수 용암류형, 기저부 연암형 및 용암류 암괴형으로 유형화할 수 있다. 단일 용암류형 폭포는 조면암이나 조면안산암 분포지역에, 복수 용암류형 폭포와 기저부 연암형 폭포는 현무암이 나 조면현무암 분포지역에 잘 발달하여 폭포 유형에 용암류의 암질이 반영되고 있다. 폭포의 후퇴프로세스는 단일 용암류형 폭포에서는 감경사적 후퇴나 교체후퇴가 나타나는 반면 기저부 연암형 폭포는 전형적인 평행후퇴를 한다. 복수 용암류형 폭포는 용암류의 물리적 성질에 따라 세 후퇴 유형을 모두 보인다. 수직절리가 잘 발달한 용암류가 폭포벽을 만들고 있으므로 대부분의 폭포는 수직에 가까운 폭포벽을 지닌다.

체육전공 대학생의 구강악안면 외상 예방법 교육경험에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Influencing factors on oral and maxillofacial trauma prevention education experience of students majoring in physical education)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the influencing factors on oral and maxillofacial trauma prevention education experience of students majoring in physical education. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 268 students majoring in physical education in Busan. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 21.0. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics(4 questions), TMJ symptoms(9 questions), oral habit(8 questions), and mouth guard awareness(5 questions). The questionnaire was carried out by 5 Likert scale. Higher points of Likert scale showed the negative tendency except the mouth guard awareness. The higher points of mouth guard awareness showed the positive tendency to use the mouth guard. Results: Male students had higher scores of 2.75 points in bad oral habit than the female students(p<0.05). Female students higher score of 1.30 points in mouth guard awareness than male students(p<0.05). TMJ symptoms experience in oral and maxillofacial trauma was 3.15 points which was higher than the prevention education experience without maxillofacial trauma(p<0.001). TMJ symptoms and Mouth guard awareness showed 2.71(p<0.01) and 1.20 points(p<0.001) respectively in students with maxillofacial trauma prevention education experience. These score were higher than those without education experience of trauma prevention education experience. The influencing factors on trauma prevention education experience are mouth guard awareness(p<0.001), oral habits(p<0.01), and temporomandibular joint symptom(p<0.01). Conclusions: The necessity of mouth guards should be emphasized to prevent the serious oral trauma. It is very important to establish the rule for mouth guard use in sports activities. Therefore, oral and maxillofacial trauma prevention education program is needed.

편마암 풍화사면에서의 지구물리탐사 및 안정성 해석 사례연구 (Case Study of Assessment of Slope Stability and Geophysical Survey in Weathered Gneiss)

  • 암반사면은 다수의 불규칙한 패턴의 불연속면들이 내재되어 있는 불연속체로써 암반 내에 존재하는 절리는 암반의 수리적, 역학적 거동을 좌우하는 중요한 요소이다. 이러한 절리들의 수리적, 역학적인 특성은 각각 다르게 나타날 수 있으며, 이러한 특성은 사면 설계에 중요한 요소이다. 다수의 절리패턴을 가진 암반의 구조적 특성을 사면안정해석과 물리탐사 결과로부터 분석하여 지반의 구조적 문제점을 분석하였다. 본 연구지역은 5개 구간을 설정하여 총 5개 측선에 대해 전기비저항 쌍극자탐사를 실시하였으며, 20개 사면에 대해 SWEDCE 및 SLIDE 프로그램을 이용해 사면 안정성 해석을 함께 수행하였다.

Material Characteristics of Dental Implant System with In-Vitro Mastication Loading

  • A dynamic fatigue characteristic of dental implant system has been evaluated with applying single axial compressive shear loading based on the ISO 14801 standard. For the advanced dynamic fatigue test, multi-directional force and motion needed to be accompanied for more information of mechanical properties as based on mastication in oral environment. In this study, we have prepared loading and motion protocol for the multi-directional fatigue test of dental implant system with single (Apical/Occlusal; AO), and additional mastication motion (Lingual/Facial; LF, Mesial/Distal; MD). As following the prepared protocol (with modification of ISO 14801), fatigue test was conducted to verify the worst case results for the development of highly stabilized dental implant system. Mechanical testing was performed using an universal testing machine (MTS Bionix 858, MN, USA) for static compression and single directional loading fatigue, while the multi-directional loading was performed with joint simulator (ADL-Force 5, MA, USA) under load control. Basically, all mechanical test was performed according to the ISO 14801:2016 standard. Static compression test was performed to identify the maximum fracture force with loading speed of 1.0 mm/min. A dynamic fatigue test was performed with 40 % value of maximum fracture force and 5 Hz loading frequency. A single directional fatigue test was performed with only apical/occlusal (AO) force application, while multi directional fatigue tests were applied $2^{\circ}$ of facial/lingual (FL) or mesial/distal (MD) movement. Fatigue failure cycles were entirely different between applying single-directional loading and multi-directional loading. As a comparison of these loading factor, the failure cycle was around 5 times lower than single-directional loading while applied multi-directional loading. Also, the displacement change with accumulated multi-directional fatigue cycles was higher than that of single directional cycles.
