간호·간병통합서비스병동 간호사의 위임준비성과 직무만족 간의 관계 (Relationship between Delegation Preparedness and Job Satisfaction of Nurses in Comprehensive Nursing Care Service Units)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호·간병통합서비스병동 간호사를 대상으로 위임준비성과 직무만족 간의 관계를 파악하기 위함이다. 자료 수집은 2017년 5월 26일부터 2017년 6월 7일까지 서울과 경기 지역에 위치한 5군데 종합병원의 간호·간병통합서비스병동에서 근무하는 간호사 126명을 대상으로 시행되었다. 자료는 independent t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients을 이용하여 분석되었다. 연구결과 간호사의 위임 교육 여부(t=-2.77, p=.006)가 위임준비성에 유의한 차이를 나타냈고, 위임준비성과 직무만족 간에 유의한 양적 상관관계(r=.43, p<.001)가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 위임준비성 하부 영역과 직무만족에서는 업무 내용에 대한 이해(r=.26, p=.003), 위임업무구분(r=.45, p<.001), 위임 내용에 대한 이해(r=.35, p<.001), 위임 기술(r=.34, p<.001) 간에 유의한 양적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 위임준비성과 직무만족의 하위 영역 중에서는 상호작용(r=.46, p<.001), 직무과업(r=.36, p<.001), 전문직업적 수준(r=.33, p<.001), 행정(r=.31, p<.001), 보수(r=.20, p=.026)가 유의한 양적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과는 간호·간병통합서비스병동 간호사가 효과적인 위임을 위해서는 학교와 간호현장에서 위임 기술을 포함한 교육을 강화시킬 필요성을 제시한다.

The Disaster Preparedness and Professional Quality of Life among Nurses in Emergency Rooms of Regional Emergency Medical Center

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the disaster preparedness and professional quality of life among nurses in emergency departments. The participants in this study were 56 nurses in emergency departments in two cities. The data were collected by questionnaires survey from January to August 2016. All statistical analyses were performed using SPSS ver. 23.0 program. Participants' disaster preparedness was different according to position (t=-2.32, p=.004), type of working (t=-2.32, p=.004), and frequency of traumatic events (F=5.26, p=.009). There were significant differences by gender (t=2.88, p=.006), desire for continuous work in the emergency room (t=2.95, p=.005), and job satisfaction (F=10.81, p < .001) in compassion satisfaction. Burnout was different according to gender (t=-2.05, p=.045), choice of an emergency department (t=-2.37, p=.021), desire for continuous work in the emergency room (t=-2.31, p=.025), and job satisfaction (F=11.99, p < .001). Disaster preparedness and compassion satisfaction had positively significant correlations. Compassion satisfaction of nurses in emergency department was an important variable that should be considered to improve their disaster preparedness.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effects of preparedness towards delegation, critical thinking disposition, and communicative competence on job satisfaction among comprehensive nursing care service ward nurses and general ward nurses. Methods: The participants in this study were 218 nurses from two university hospitals. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires and were analyzed using SPSS Statistics/WIN 21.0, including descriptive statistics, x2 test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffeé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: For comprehensive nursing care service ward nurses, the significant influencing factors on job satisfaction were age (β=-.37, p=.041), marital status (β=.35, p=.001), critical thinking disposition (β=.29, p=.003), and communicative competence (β=.28, p=.002) with the explanatory power was 39.0% (F=12.00, p<.001). On the other hand, for general ward nurses, the significant influencing factors on job satisfaction were advanced degree (β=.29, p=.047), critical thinking disposition (β=.23, p=.040), and communicative competence (β=.42, p<.001) with the explanatory power was 33.0% (F=11.78, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest the importance of developing and applying education programs to improve critical thinking disposition and communicative competence of nurses. This would enhance the comprehensive nursing service and increase overall nursing manpower resources. In addition, further studies are needed to improve nursing work environments and to develop strategies for enhancing preparedness towards delegation, which would increase the job satisfaction of nurses in the comprehensive nursing care service wards.

한국어판 간호사의 위임에 대한 태도 및 준비성 측정도구의 타당도와 신뢰도 (Reliability and Validity of the Korean Version of Nurses' Attitudes and Preparedness towards Delegation)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and test the validity and reliability of the Korean version of nurses' attitudes toward delegation and preparedness to delegate (APD). Methods: The Korean version of APD was developed through forward-backward translation methods. Internal consistency reliability, criterion validity, and construct validity using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 19 and AMOS 20.0. Survey data were collected from 161 nurses working in 2 general hospitals. Results: The Korean version of APD showed Cronbach's alphas of .68 and .85. Factor loadings of the 8 attitude items on the 3 subscales ranged from .60 to .86 and the 15 preparedness items on the 4 subscales ranged from .47 to .90. The model of 3 subscales for the Korean nurses' attitude toward delegation and the model of 4 subscales for the Korean nurses' preparedness to delegate were both validated by confirmatory factor analysis(NC<3, CFI>.90, RMSEA<.10). Criterion validity compared to job satisfaction showed significant correlation. Conclusion: The findings of this study demonstrate that this modified Korean version of APD is applicable for measuring Korean nurses' attitude toward delegation and preparedness to delegate.

DACUM 기법과 전문가회의를 통한 방재분야 교육과정 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Curriculum Development for Disaster Management by DACUM Technique and Expert Committee)

  • 본 연구는 방재분야의 교육과정 개발을 위해 DACUM 기법을 이용하여 개발한 교육과정과 전문가회의를 통해 개발한 교육 과정을 비교 분석하여 방재분야의 교육과정을 개발하였다. 첫째, DACUM 기법을 이용한 교육과정 개발은 방재분야의 직무를 예방, 대비, 대응, 복구 등 4가지 직무로 구분하고, 각 직무별로 3명의 방재전문가와 1명의 교육전문가가 3회씩의 워크삽을 통해 예방직무에서 9개 과정, 대비 직무에서 12개 과정, 대비 직무에서 7개 과정, 복구 직무에서 4개의 교육과정을 개발하였다. 둘째, 전문가회의를 통해 교육과정을 개발하였다. 전문가회의는 5명의 방재전문가와 3명의 교육전문가가 4회의 회의를 거쳐 35개의 교육과정을 개발하였다. 이를 통해 DACUM 기법과 전문가회의를 통해 도출된 교육과정을 전문가들의 토론을 거쳐 최종적으로 예방 및 대비 직무에서 31개 과정과 대응 및 복구 직무에서 14개의 교육과정을 개발하였으며, 추가적으로 인적재난에서 6개 과정과 관리자별 4개 과정을 개발하였다.

시각장애인 고용준비도 검사지 개발 및 타당화 연구 (Development and Validation of Tool for the Assessment of Employment Preparedness for People with Visual Impairments)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 시각장애인용 고용준비도 검사지를 개발하는 데 있다. 개발과정은 체계적인 개발절차에 따라 문헌연구를 통해 검사 요인을 구성하고, 학계 및 현장 전문가 의견조사, 파일럿 테스트를 통해 검사지를 최종 완성하였다. 검사지의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하기 위해 구직시각장애인을 대상으로 평가를 실시하여 253명의 평가 자료를 수집하였다. 검사도구의 신뢰도 및 타당도 검증을 위해 주성분 분석, 확인적 요인분석, 상관분석 등을 사용하였다. 신뢰도 분석결과, 구인별 신뢰도 계수는 0.88-0.92로 요인별 하위 문항 간 내적일관성이 양호한 것으로 확인되었다. 타당도 분석결과, 9개 구인별 주성분 요인분석에서 단일차원성이 양호하고, 확인적 요인분석 결과에서도 구조방정식 모형이 적합한 것으로 나타나 구인타당도는 양호한 것으로 평가되었다. 공인타당도 검증을 위해 고용준비도 검사와 직업스크리닝 검사 간 상관관계 분석을 실시한 결과, 상관계수값이 0.501로 나타나 공인타당도가 양호한 것으로 확인되었다. 이상의 결과에서, 시각장애인 고용준비도 검사는 평가도구로서 심리측정학적으로 타당성이 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • Purpose: This study investigated perception and plan of dental technologists regarding the old age and retirement for them to enjoy stable old age. Methods: Dental technologists working in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggido were asked to fill out a self-administered questionnaire, and a total of 200 copies were used for analysis. The collected data were statistically analyzed by using SPSS 22.0(Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Chicago, IL, USA) (a=0.05). In order to compare perception toward old age preparation among the subjects, a Chi-square test was performed, and, to investigate the level of preparedness for old age according to general characteristics, t-test was performed. Results: In the analysis of the old age preparedness by age, there was a significant difference in financial preparation, Asset identification, use of retiring allowance, information gathering, senior town home, and stability (p<0.05). To the questions regarding perception toward retirement, the majority of the subjects (60.5%) answered they had thought about retirement, and many (23.9%) of them attributed the reason to job stress (23.9%). Regarding old age preparedness according to workplace, there was a significant difference in use of retirement allowance and education for old age preparedness between general dental laboratories and general hospitals (p<0.05). Conclusion: It is believed that, for preparation of dental technologists for stable old age, in addition to their personal effort, it is important to provide social support and practical measures to ensure welfare and retirement.

The Right Person for the Right Job: a Study on the Need for Enhancing Collaboration between Shipping Companies & Maritime Academies

  • Working onboard large ocean-going vessels is one of many industries that is by its very nature extremely error-provoking. In industries such as aviation, nuclear power, healthcare and transport, the need for mental preparedness and professionalism are amongst the qualities essential for the management of complex hazardous systems. Recruiting, training, and more importantly retaining the right people to work in these industries is of paramount importance if safety is to be continuously improved and economic benefits realized. Through consideration of extant empirical literature this paper will explore the need for enhancing collaboration between shipping companies and maritime training insitutes in order to provide the industry with those most capable for the job. It will be concluded that by providing a strong maritime foundation from the outset of training, maritime academies in South Korea can provide shipping companies with a wealth of highly qualified, motivated officers who will contribute to safety and remain valuable assets within the industry for years to come.

재학 중 현장실습과 취업 후 직무만족 간의 관계에 관한 연구: 장·단기현장실습의 비교 (A Study on the Relationship Between on-site Training During the School Year and Job Satisfaction after Employment: A Comparison between Short-term and Long-term on-site Training)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between post - employment job satisfaction and both short-term (4-12 weeks) and long-term (12+weeks) on-site training. For this purpose, 405 graduates who had completed on-site training (205 short-term, 200 long term) during the school year were surveyed. The results of the comparative analysis of both short-term and long-term on-site training participants are as follows: In both short-term and long-term on-site training, it was found that on-site performance during the school year did not directly affect post-employment job satisfaction. In the case of short-term on-site training participants, job match and organizational commitment were found to have no mediating effect on the correlation between on-site training performance and job satisfaction. On the other hand, in the case of long-term on-site training participants, the analysis showed that job match and organizational commitment had mediating effects on the correlation between on-site training performance and job satisfaction. These effects are not solely attributable to differences in duration of training; the differences in operating systems and the degree of preparation derived from these systems also affect the level of on-site training for students, businesses, and schools. This paper summarizes these findings and suggests the following improvement plans for on-site training in the future: First, short-term on-site training is required to establish a systematic basis in order to enhance students' preparedness level. Second, both short-term and long-term on-site training should improve the skills and field understanding for students' majors through systematic quality management during the training period. Third, it is necessary for universities to increase expectations and quality of short-term on-site training for all involved while simultaneously reducing the gap between educational goals and practice in this field.
