RFID 기술을 적용한 도서관리 및 검색 솔루션 개발 (Development of an RFID based Library Management and Search System)

  • 국내 도서관의 양적, 질적 성장에 따라 도서관의 장서 수와 이용자 수가 급증하고 있으나, 이에 따른 도서 관리의 어려움 또한 증대되고 있다. 특히, 도서가 지정된 서가에 위치해 있지 않아 이용자들이 도서를 찾는데 어려움을 겪는 경우가 빈번하다. 이러한 문제의 해결을 위해 본 연구에서는 RFID 기술을 이용하여 보다 편리하게 도서의 위치를 파악할 수 있는 도서 검색 시스템인 'R-LIM(알림)' 시스템을 개발하였다. 'R-LIM' 시스템을 활용하면 도서의 현재 위치를 실시간으로 파악할 수 있어 도서를 보다 쉽게 찾을 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 도서를 정위치 시키는데 소요되는 시간도 크게 줄일 수 있다. 이 방식은 도서도난방지 등의 부수적 효과도 가져올 수 있다.

대학단위 온실가스 인벤토리 구축 가이드라인 개발 (Development of the Guideline Applied for University on GHG Emission Inventory)

  • This research shows the improved methodology which can be applied for universities which want to set up their GHG inventories. In other words, we tried to make guideline in problems due to the unique characteristics of universities. This guideline will help university to deal with the problems they are facing: For example university has less enforcement in operational control compared to the business sector. And it also has various usage of facilities, although these facilities are not maintained by same principal agent. The difference between owner and manager is an another reason for difficulty in setting group organization. The improved and adaptable methods responding to these problems were suggested from this research. The results of this research says the new definition of function for various actors in university for quality control and quality assurance. Because the suggestions made in this research which concerns with criteria for building of universities' GHG inventories were all read by current legislation, there is an anticipation that this can be an official guideline that can be applied to the universities right away.

  • 본 논문은 전국적인 소매업체의 각 지점별 고객 수요가 불확실한 상황에서 고객 서비스 목표 수준을 충족하는 최적재고 수준을 결정하는 문제에 대해 연구하였다. 이를 위해 전국에 분포한 지점에서 물품을 판매하는 베스트바이, 월마트, 혹은 시어스와 같은 전국적인 소매업체 관점에서 사용할 수 있는 핵심 관리 지표(KPI)로서 ISR(In-Stock Ratio)를 정의하였으며, 전국적인 소매업체가 평균 ISR로 정의되는 고객 서비스 목표 수준을 충족하면서 각 지점 보유 재고의 총합을 최소화할 수 있는 최적화 모델을 수립하였다. 본 논문은 해당 모델에 항상 최적해가 존재함을 증명하고 해당 최적해를 Karush-Kuhn-Tucker 조건을 사용하여 고객 수요의 확률분포의 형태에 상관없이 일반화된 형태로 표현하였다. 또한 본 논문은 고객 수요가 정규분포와 같은 특정 확률분포를 따르는 경우에 대해 연구하였으며, 이 경우에 대한 최적 재고수준을 나타내는 식을 도출하였다. 마지막으로 본 논문에서는 상기 기술된 상황에 대한 수리적인 예제를 통하여 최적재고 수준과 확률분포 파라미터들간의 관계를 분석하였다.

Analysis of steam generator tube rupture accidents for the development of mitigation strategies

  • We analyzed mitigation strategies for steam generator tube rupture (SGTR) accidents using MARS code under both full-power and low-power and shutdown (LPSD) conditions. In general, there are two approaches to mitigating SGTR accidents: supplementing the reactor coolant inventory using safety injection systems and depressurizing the reactor coolant system (RCS) by cooling it down using the intact steam generator. These mitigation strategies were compared from the viewpoint of break flow from the ruptured steam generator tube, the core integrity, and the possibility of the main steam safety valves opening, which is associated with the potential release of radiation. The "cooldown strategy" is recommended for break flow control, whereas the "RCS make-up strategy" is better for RCS inventory control. Under full power, neither mitigation strategy made a significant difference except for on the break flow while, in LPSD modes, the RCS cooldown strategy resulted in lower break and discharge flows, and thus less radiation release. As a result, using the cooldown strategy for an SGTR under LPSD conditions is recommended. These results can be used as a fundamental guide for mitigation strategies for SGTR accidents according to the operational mode.

The Analysis of the Purchasing Process and Distribution Management Requirements of Teaching Materials in Preschool

  • Purpose: This study is to analyze the purchasing process and distribution management requirements for teaching materials that have important meaning in the practical field of preschool education. Research design, data and methodology: A structured questionnaire was used to survey 103 childcare staffs regarding the purchasing process and distribution managements. The collected data underwent Likert's 5-point scale analysis and keyword grouping. Additionally, ANOVA was conducted to examine the distribution management demands based on demographic characteristics. Results: The purchasing of teaching materials involved more offline channels than online, and the purchase decisions were predominantly made by principals rather than teachers. Although the purchasing process is similar to that of general businesses, there are difficulties in purchasing due to the disorganized distribution channels and limited accessibility to product information. Additionally, the management of inventory for teaching materials is challenging due to limited personnel and storage. Childcare staffs have requirements for classification systems, evaluation criteria, environments and policies related to teaching materials distribution. The need to introduce a teaching material evaluation and certification system to ensure quality was not high. Conclusions: Most of the respondents recognized that strict management and measures should be taken for the distribution of teaching materials. There were differences in the demand of teaching material distribution depending on the respondents' status, age, education, and experience.

Y의료원의 물류 공급체계 중앙화 관리에 대한 연구 (A Study of an effective centralization of medical supply system. In Y University Medical Center)

  • Since the late 1980s, there have been radical changes in the managerial environment of Y University Medical Center(YUMC). Externally, the competition among hospitals has intensified due to the establishment of universal health insurance in 1939 and the entrance of large enterprises into the health care industry in the early 1990s. In addition, government regulation of medical institution is becoming stricter. Also, consumer groups have continued to demand the respect for patient rights and improvement of the quality of medical services. Internally, the financial condition of YUMC has worsened, not only because weak control and poor mediation in its large-scale structure have made its operation inefficient, but also because the rates of increase in the prices of goods and labor have grown faster than any increases in revenues. This study on materials management at YUMC presents a way for YUMC to reduce costs and increase its productivity, thereby overcoming its financial difficulties and dealing with external pressures. This study utilized the case studies of the materials purchasing and medical supply management in the United States and the comparative analysis of management to suggest short-term and long-term alternatives for innovation in YUMC. The goals of the short-term alternatives for innovation are to centralize the purchasing and supply departments and to simplify the decision-making processes. Through these attempts, it is estimated that YUMC's costs could be reduced by $600,000 per year. In the long-term, it is necessary to consider introducing a Supply Processing Distribution(SPD) system and setting up a centralized electronic system for supply and inventory management, although it is difficult to estimate the effect of cost-cutting because of the lack of analysis data. Thus, YUMC should thoroughly analyze initial investment costs and economical efficiency generated from long-term alternatives.

SCM환경에서의 물류센터의 최적 서비스 수준 결정 방법 (A study on the Method to Determine Optimal Service Level of a Distribution Center in Supply Chain Management Environment)

  • The main objective of this research is to develop a model to select the optimal input service level for a distribution center-multi branch inventory distribution system. With the continuous review policy, the distribution center places an order for specific order quantity to an outside supplier, and the order quantity is replenished after a certain lead time Also, each branch places an order for particular order quantity to the distribution center to satisfy the customer demands, and receives the replenishment after a lead time. When an out of stock condition occurs during an order cycle, a backorder is placed to the upper level to fill the unfilled demands. With these situation, variable demand and variable lead time are used for better industrial practice. Further, actual lead times with a generic lead time distribution are used in developing the control model. Under the actual lead time model, the customer service measures actually attained for the distribution center and each branch are explained as the effective customer service measures. Thus, throughout the optimal control (using computer search procedures), we can select the optimal input service levels for the distribution center and each branch to attain the effective service levels for each branch which is consistent with the goal level of service for each branch. At the same time, the entire distribution system keeps minimum inventories.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)는 라디오파를 이용하여 사물에 부착된 태그에 저장되어 있는 고유정보를 무선으로 전송하는 기술이다. 건축 분야에서 RFID를 사용하여 자재의 투입량과 재고 관리를 위한 자재관리 시스템의 구축사례가 증가 하고 있는 추세이다. 기존의 자재관리 시스템은 자재의 투입량과 재고 관리를 위해 자재에 RFID태그를 부착시키고 자재 투입 시 자재에 부착된 태그를 인식하는 기능만을 가진 시스템이 대부분이고, 자재의 재사용을 위해 자재의 위치정보를 RFID를 활용하여 자동으로 인식하고 관리할 수 있는 시스템 개발은 활발히 이루어지고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 건축자재의 효율적인 재사용을 위해 특정 서브와 리더기의 거리측정값을 기반으로 자재의 위치를 추정하여 메인 서버에 저장하는 기능을 가지는 RFID 시스템을 제안한다. 시스템의 구조는 RFID 리더부, 거리측정부, 통신부, 저장부로 구성된다.

기록물정보 관리를 위한 메타데이터 설계와 구현에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design and Implementation of Metadata for Archival and Manuscripts Control)

  • 본 연구는 기록물을 관리할 수 있는 국제 표준에 맞는 메타데이터 관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현하여 한국 교육사회연구소의 콜렉션 관리에 활용하고 아울러 기록물정보관리의 모형 구축을 위한 기초 자료를 제시하는것을 목적으로 한다. 메타데이터를 설계하기 위해서 기록물의 목록 규칙과 관련된 네 가지 종류의 자료 측 국제표준기록물기수레[ISAD(G)], 미국 기록물/필사본 기계가독목록 (USMARC AMC). EAD 및 Ebind를 참조하였다. 시스템에 대한 이용자 만족도, 시스템의 개선점 및 향후 콜렉션을 포함한 다양한 기록물 관리 시스템을 구현하기 위한 기초 자료를 얻기 위하여 설문지를 이용하여 시스템을 평가해 보았다. 평가 분석 결과는 향후 시스템을 갱신할 때 활용할 수 있도록 정리하였고, 제안된 시스템을 도서관이나 기록관 현장에 바로 적용시키기 위해서 단계별로 진행할 수 있는 작업 계획을 제시하였다.

  • Because of the recent development of radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies, various systems for RFID have been proposed. and it expected to become pervasive and ubiquitous. offers tantalizing benefits for supply chain management, inventory control, and many other applications. recently, however, has the convergence of lower cost and increased capabilities made businesses take a hard look at what RFID can do fer them. In this paper, We propose the real-time RFID face recognition system using Hippocampus neuron modeling algorithm(HNMA) and PCA-LDA mixture algorithm. this system store an extracted face-feature in tag and uses for individual authentication.
