플라스마 디스플레이 패널에서 ITO/black interlayer/Bus 전극 간의 전기저항 평가 (Evaluation of the Electrical Resistance between ITO/black interlayer/Bus electrodes in a Plasma Display Panel)

  • Black interlayer was introduced into between ITO and Bus electrodes to enhance a bright room contrast ratio of a plasma display panel. To measure the electrical resistance of the black interlayer, we designed two test patterns, type I and type II, of which type II pattern was successful. Using type II test pattern, the electrical resistance of the black interlayer was measured to be $300{\Omega}$ for $2{\mu}m$ thickness case and infinitely high for 4, $6{\mu}m$ thickness. This result shows that electrical resistance of the black interlayer in the ITO/black interlayer/Bus electrodes structure is a critical parameter which determines the electrical characteristics of the PDP.

  • Tungsten coatings on the graphite (CX-2320) were successfully deposited using the vacuum plasma spraying (VPS) method. An optimum coating procedure was developed and coating thicknesses of $409{\mu}m$ (without an interlayer) and $378{\mu}m$ (with an interlayer) were obtained with no cracks and no signs of delamination. The mechanical characteristics and microstructure of the tungsten coating layers were investigated using a Vickers hardness tester, FE-SEM, EDS, and XRD. The effect of a titanium interlayer on the properties of the tungsten coating was investigated. It was shown that the titanium interlayer prevented the diffusion of carbon to the tungsten layer, thereby suppressing the formation of tungsten carbide. Vickers hardness data yielded values that were 62.5 ~ 80.46% of those for bulk tungsten, indicating that tungsten coatings on graphite can be utilized as a plasma-facing material. High heat flux tests were performed by using thermal plasma with a maximum flux of $10MW/^2$. Vickers hardness after the heat flux test is performed to see a change in the mechanical properties. The formationof a tungsten carbide and the effect of the titanium interlayer for the diffusion barrier are investigated by using energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS).

Vibration characteristic analysis of high-speed railway simply supported beam bridge-track structure system

  • Based on the energy-variational principle, a coupling vibration analysis model of high-speed railway simply supported beam bridge-track structure system (HSRBTS) was established by considering the effect of shear deformation. The vibration differential equation and natural boundary conditions of HSRBTS were derived by considering the interlayer slip effect. Then, an analytic calculation method for the natural vibration frequency of this system was obtained. By taking two simply supported beam bridges of high-speed railway of 24 m and 32 m in span as examples, ANSYS and MIDAS finite-element numerical calculation methods were compared with the analytic method established in this paper. The calculation results show that two of them agree well with each other, validating the analytic method reported in this paper. The analytic method established in this study was used to evaluate the natural vibration characteristics of HSRBTS under different interlayer stiffness and length of rails at different subgrade sections. The results show that the vertical interlayer compressive stiffness had a great influence on the high-order natural vibration frequency of HSRBTS, and the effect of longitudinal interlayer slip stiffness on the natural vibration frequency of HSRBTS could be ignored. Under different vertical interlayer stiffness conditions, the subgrade section of HSRBTS has a critical rail length, and the critical length of rail at subgrade section decreases with the increase in vertical interlayer compressive stiffness.

가상 층간 구조 페리다이나믹 해석의 파동 전파 특성 검토 (Characteristics of Dynamic Wave Propagation in Peridynamic Analysis with Nonlocal Ghost Interlayer)

  • 다중적층구조는 상대적으로 두꺼운 주 적층구조(ply)와 얇은 층간구조(interlayer)를 반복하여 붙여서 만들어진다. 적층구조의 동적 파괴 페리다이나믹 해석을 효율적으로 수행하기 위해 주 적층구조만 실제 페리다이나믹 절점으로 모델링하고 층간구조는 가상의 절점으로 간략히 모델링하는 비국부 가상 층간구조 모델링 기법을 도입한다. 이를 통해 얇은 층간구조의 수치적 이산화 정도는 무시하고 상대적으로 두꺼운 주 적층구조를 해석하기에 적절한 수준의 수치적 이산화만으로 효율적인 페리다이나믹 모델링 및 해석을 수행할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 가상 층간 구조 페리다이나믹 해석의 파동 전파 특성을 분석한다. 층간 구조는 인접한 적층판들을 접합하는 역할뿐만 아니라 적층판 사이의 에너지 전달 특성에도 영향을 주기 때문에 적층구조물의 변형 및 운동에도 중요한 역할을 하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 경계 근처에서 페리다이나믹 절점은 불완전한 형태의 비국부 영역을 구성하는데, 이를 통해 완전한 비국부 영역을 구성하는 내부 절점과 경계 근처의 절점에서 재료 물성치 효과가 달라지게 된다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 표면 효과를 보정하기 위해 비국부 체적 기반의 보정법을 도입하고, 표면 효과 보정이 다중적층 구조물의 파동 전파에 미치는 영향을 조사한다.

중간층이 DLC 코팅에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Interlayer on the DLC Coating)

  • DLC is considered as the candidate material for application of moving parts in automotive components relatively in high pressure and temperature operating conditions for its high hardness with self lubrication and chemical inertness. The properties of interlayer between the substrate and the DLC film were studied. Arc ion plating method have been employed to deposit onto substrate and sputtering method was used for synthesizing DLC onto interlayer. Among these six types of interlayer, deposited DLC film onto TiCN showed excellent value for characteristics. From the results of analysis for physical properties of DLC films, it seems that the adhesion forces were more important factors than intrinsic mechanical properties such as hardness, roughness and wear resistance of DLC films. AFM(Atomic Force Microscope) was used for understanding roughness of DLC films. Hardnesses of the coating layers were identified by nano-indentation method and adhesions were checked by scratch method.

접합유리용 고분자 필름의 물성 및 음향학적 특성 분석 (Analysis of the Polymer Properties and Sound Characteristics of Interlayer Films for Laminated Glass)

  • 본 논문은 고속열차 객실 내 유리창의 차음 성능을 향상시키기 위한 기반연구로, 접합유리에 사용되는 고분자 필름의 물성과 음향학적 특성을 분석하여 그 상관관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 기존에 사용되고 있는 PVB(polyvinyl butyal) 필름 및 다른 단량체 비율을 가지는 PVB 유도체, 그리고 유리 사이 차음재로 사용가능 한 PC(polycarbonate)의 동적기계적 특성을 분석(DMA)하였다. DMA 분석을 통해 상온에 가까운 온도범위에서 유리전이온도($T_g$)를 가지며 tan ${\delta}$(loss tangent) 값이 큰 것으로 나타난 PVB-HEMU 시편의 댐핑(damping) 성능이 가장 우수할 것으로 예측하고, 이를 고속철도 차량의 접합유리창과 동일한 구조에서의 투과손실 시험과 해석을 통해 검증하고자 하였다. 접합필름의 종류에 따른 유리창 투과손실 값을 투과손실 측정(인텐시티법)과 FE 해석을 이용해 도출하고, 고분자 필름의 물성과 음향성능 간 상관관계 분석을 위한 기초자료를 구축하였다.

Studies on weldment performance of Ti/Al dissimilar sheet metal joints using laser beam welding

  • Laser beam welding is more advantageous compared to conventional methods. Titanium/Aluminium dissimilar alloy thin sheet metals are difficult to weld due to large difference in melting point. The performance of the weldment depends upon interlayer formation and distribution of intermetallics. During welding, aluminium gets lost at the temperature below the melting point of titanium. Therefore, it is needed to improve a new metal joining techniques between these two alloys. The present work is carried for welding TI6AL4V and AA2024 alloy by using Nd:YAG Pulsed laser welding unit. The performance of the butt welded interlayer structures are discussed in detail using hardness test and SEM. Test results reveal that interlayer fracture is caused near aluminium side due to low strength at the weld joint.

  • 금속박막이 포함된 측면 연마 광섬유 결합기의 편광 선택적 결합 특성에 관한 이론적 연구 결과를 보고한다. 직교 모드이론을 이용하여 다양한 구조 조건에서 소자의 결합 특성을 분석하였다. 금속 박막의 두께가 증가함에 따라 TE 모드사이의 결합의 세기는 급격히 약해지는 반면에 TM 모드의 결합의 세기는 커짐을 보였다. 높은 편광 소멸비와 낮은 삽입 손실을 가지는 편광 분리기의 설계 조건을 제시하였다.

TiO2 Interlayer의 상변화에 따른 PLZT 박막의 구조 및 전기적 특성 (The effects of TiO2 interlayer phase transition on structural and electrical properties of PLZT Thin Films)

  • R.F. magnetron-sputtering 방법에 의해 $(Pb_{1.1},La_{0.08})(Zr_{0.65}.Ti_{0.35})O_3$ 박막을 $Pt/Ti/SiO_2/Si$, $TiO_2(interlayer)/Pt/Ti/SiO_2/Si$ 기판에 증착하고, $TiO_2$ interlayer에 의한 PLZT 박막의 특성을 고찰 하였다. $TiO_2$ interlayer의 증착조건을 변화시켜가며 단일상의 anatase 상과 rutile 상을 증착하였고, 그 위에 증착시킨 PLZT 박막의결정성을 x-ray diffraction(XRD)을 통해 분석하였다. 또한 $TiO_2$ interlayer에 의한 $PLZT-TiO_2$, $TiO_2-Pt$ 박막의 계면상태를 고찰하기 위해 glow discharge spectrometer(GDS) 분석을 행하였고, PLZT의 강유전 특성을 고찰하기 위해 전기적 측정을 행하였다. $TiO_2$ anatase 단일 상에 증착한 PLZT의 경우 (110) 방향으로 우선 배향됨을 알 수 있었고, 12.6 ${\mu}C/cm^2$의 잔류분극 값을 나타내었다.

A Study of the Dependence of Effective Schottky Barrier Height in Ni Silicide/n-Si on the Thickness of the Antimony Interlayer for High Performance n-channel MOSFETs

  • In this paper, the effective electron Schottky barrier height (${\Phi}_{Bn}$) of the Ni silicide/n-silicon (100) interface was studied in accordance with different thicknesses of the antimony (Sb) interlayer for high performance n-channel MOSFETs. The Sb interlayers, varying its thickness from 2 nm to 10 nm, were deposited by radio frequency (RF) sputtering on lightly doped n-type Si (100), followed by the in situ deposition of Ni/TiN (15/10 nm). It is found that the sample with a thicker Sb interlayer shows stronger ohmic characteristics than the control sample without the Sb interlayer. These results show that the effective ${\Phi}_{Bn}$ is considerably lowered by the influence of the Sb interlayer. However, the current level difference between Schottky diodes fabricated with Sb/Ni/TiN (8/15/10 nm) and Sb/Ni/TiN (10/15/10 nm) structures is almost same. Therefore, considering the process time and cost, it can be said that the optimal thickness of the Sb interlayer is 8 nm. The effective ${\Phi}_{Bn}$ of 0.076 eV was achieved for the Schottky diode with Sb/Ni/TiN (8/15/10 nm) structure. Therefore, this technology is suitable for high performance n-channel MOSFETs.
