신문기사를 통해 본 남성 외모 관리 경향 (The Trend of Newspaper Articles for Male Appearance Management)

  • This study aims on observing the social recognition and its aspects for men taking care of their outer appearances at current point where men are rapidly rising as the main consumer in the beauty industry while their interest for outer appearances are increasing. Therefore, we observed the overall trend and changes in social recognition for male looks by analyzing the contents of newspaper articles from 1990 to 2005 that play the critical role of spreading new information trend while reflecting the interest of people of a certain era. As a result, articles related to male looks were divided into fashion, hair, skin and cosmetics, physical image, cosmetic surgery, trend related to male looks, and male oriented stores and sites, and among them, articles related to fashion and skin took up the highest ratio. Especially articles related to the trend took up the largest ratio as it reflects the properties of two industries launching new products. Moreover, articles related to male looks tended to increase generally according to timely changes, and rapidly increased especially since 2000.

Practical Second-Order Correlation Power Analysis on the Message Blinding Method and Its Novel Countermeasure for RSA

  • Recently power attacks on RSA cryptosystems have been widely investigated, and various countermeasures have been proposed. One of the most efficient and secure countermeasures is the message blinding method, which includes the RSA derivative of the binary-with-random-initial-point algorithm on elliptical curve cryptosystems. It is known to be secure against first-order differential power analysis (DPA); however, it is susceptible to second-order DPA. Although second-order DPA gives some solutions for defeating message blinding methods, this kind of attack still has the practical difficulty of how to find the points of interest, that is, the exact moments when intermediate values are being manipulated. In this paper, we propose a practical second-order correlation power analysis (SOCPA). Our attack can easily find points of interest in a power trace and find the private key with a small number of power traces. We also propose an efficient countermeasure which is secure against the proposed SOCPA as well as existing power attacks.

  • 유네스코를 중심으로 국내외적으로 지속가능발전교육(ESD)에 대한 관심이 높아짐에 따라 개발도상국으로의 IT 설비지원 및 SW교육기부 등이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 멀티마우스 Mischief는 간단한 파워포인트 교수학습 저작물을 통해 교사용 컴퓨터로 다수의 아이들이 능동적 수업활동을 할 수 있다. 현재 멀티마우스 포인터는 그림과 글자(이름)로 교수학습활동의 식별기능만을 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 마이크로 소프트에서 개발된 멀티마우스의 포인터에 대하여 아이들의 흥미유발과 능동적 참여에 효과적인 포인터 설계전략 알아보기 위하여 포인터 모양(얼굴사진), 크기, 속도의 변인에 대해서 콘텐츠를 개발 적용하여 보았다.

  • 최근 들어 기존의 휴대폰시장을 대부분 스마트폰이 대신하고 있다. 스마트폰의 다양한 센서를 활용하여 광범위하게 사용되고 있으며 이에 따른 대한 많은 연구와 개발이 진행되고 있다. 스마트폰은 기존 휴대폰에 제한적으로 적용되던 GPS와 센서를 대부분 내장하고 있다. 스마트폰 관련 연구 중 위치기반 서비스가 중요 연구개발 분야중 하나이다. 본 연구는 GPS와 Wifi를 사용하여 어린이와 같은 보호대상자의 위치를 파악하고 보호자가 설정한 관심지역을 벗어나게 되는 경우 보호자에게 통보하는 시스템을 구현하였다.

Determining Spatial Neighborhoods in Indoor Space using Integrated IndoorGML and IndoorPOI data

  • Indoor space has been one of the focal points for geospatial research as various factors such as increasing demands for application and demand for adaptive response in emergencies have arisen. IndoorGML (Indoor Geography Markup Language) has provided a standardized method of representing the topological aspect of micro-scale environments, with its extensive specifications and flexible applicability. However, as more real-world problems and needs demand attention, suggestions to improve this standard, such as representing IndoorPOI (Indoor Points of Interest), have arisen. Hence, existing algorithms and functionalities that we use on perceiving these indoor spaces must also adapt to accommodate said improvements. In this study, we explore how to define spatial neighborhoods in indoor spaces represented by an integrated IndoorGML and IndoorPOI data. We revisit existing approaches to combine the aforementioned datasets and refine previous approaches to perform neighborhood spatial queries in 3D. We implement the proposed algorithm in three use cases using sample datasets representing a real-world structure to demonstrate its effectiveness for performing indoor spatial analysis.

밴드형 발열조끼의 디자인 개발 (Development of Design for Band Type Heating Vests)

  • By the influence of ageing population, the well-being trend, and the increase of interest in health, people seems to be enjoying sports and outdoor life more. Followed by the change of consumers' life style, the interest in smart clothing grafting scientific technology has increased, and research on this subject is necessary. This study is to develop improved design of band type heating vests by grasping the weak point of currently sold heating vest designed by the manufacturer. Through this process, satisfaction of the consumer and the manufacturer can be increased. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Conducted a demand survey with the manufacturer and wearing evaluation test with the consumer on band type heating vests. 2) Suggested design drafts on band type heating vests for both genders reflecting demand survey results. 3) Conducted consumers' preference survey for design drafts. 4) Made the sample product, and then conducted an evaluation of wearing the actual product. Overall, the wearing test results showed high satisfaction for both genders.

Analysis of American Consumer Interest in Bulgogi: Application of Importance-Performance Analysis in the U.S. Market

  • This study used importance-performance analysis of different attributes of Bulgogi to investigate Americans' interest in this food. The results of this study will help determine the potential of expanding its consumption in the American foodservice market. Questionnaires were distributed to 200 diners in Korean restaurants located in New York, U.S.A. from July 13 to Oct 8, 2009. A total of 172 copies were returned and analyzed in this study. Statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS 17.0. Of the total subjects, 74.4% were already familiar with Bulgogi and 69.2% had at least one experience trying it. Targeting the respondents who had eaten Bulgogi, preference and satisfaction toward the dish, as well as the intention to repurchase and recommend it to others, were examined, and scores were found to be very high at 4.53, 4.46, 4.26, and 4.47 points, respectively, on a 5-point scale. According to importance-performance analysis, the top five Bulgogi attributes in importance were taste, freshness, flavor, tenderness, and juiciness, and those for performance were freshness, flavor, taste, tenderness, and overall acceptability. However, sweetness and saltiness showed relatively lower performance and ease of purchase was noted as an attribute needing improvement. Therefore, American consumers' needs for Bulgogi should be met by enhancing its flavor, while maintaining the traditional taste, as well as by supplementing the channels providing Bulgogi.

아동용 가구디자인 요소의 고려 사항 연구 (A Study of Consideration of Children's Furniture Design Elements)

  • With the advent of industrial society, the phenomenon of nuclear families has brought many changes in the family environment. Of changes, a decrease in the number of new-born babies led to one-child families, which then led to an increase in interest in children. Interest in children gave birth to a consumptive trend called "kids marketing," and phenomena of generous investment and consumption for children appear to continue to the future. In reality, too, the consumer market of children's apparel and learning materials for children has sharply increased over the past few years, and products related to children have become the center of family consumptions. Therefore, at this point when children are the center of consumptive life in the family and the relationship between products and users is becoming an increasingly more important variable, the conductive research focusing on children is necessary. These important factors embraced wide areas of activities in research on children, from children's physical changes, children's preference, such as color and material, to children's consumptive environment, as they can provide a foundation for furniture design suitable for children.

한국전통문양의 종류, 표현유형, 구성형식 및 적용대상에 따른 감성이미지 (Images of Korean Traditional Patterns according to Category, Interpretation Type, Composition Type, and Application Object)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate images of Korean traditional patterns. The subjects consisted of 369 male and 356 female undergraduate students. The experimental materials used in this study were 48 stimuli and questionnaires, composed of 7-point semantic differential scales of 23 bipolar adjectives. Twelve motifs selected from 3 groups of Korean patterns were used as motif stimuli. Twelve repeated patterns were constructed from them to be applied on a CAD-simulated dress. The data was analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test. The major findings were as follows: 1. Four dimensions were emerged accounting for the dimensional structure of the images of Korean traditional patterns. These dimensions were 'simplicity', 'quality', 'interest', and 'modernity' dimension. Among them, 'simplicity' and 'quality' were the major dimensions. 2. Category, interpretation type, composition type, and application object of motif had significant effects on the images of above-mentioned dimensions. The application object had a significant effect on 'simplicity' and 'modernity' image, and the composition type on 'quality' and 'interest' image.

  • 최근 이동 중인 경로 상에 존재하는 모든 지점에 대해 k개의 최근접 객체를 탐색하는 연속 k 최근접 객체 탐색 질의가 위치기반 서비스와 지능형 교통 시스템의 응용 분야에 폭넓게 사용되고 있다. 이러한 질의는 위와 같은 응용에 빠른 응답을 요구하고, 공간 네트워크 데이터베이스에 적용가능 해야 한다. 이 논문에서는 공간네트워크 상에서 움직이는 질의 객체를 위한 최근접 객체를 효율적으로 탐색하는 새로운 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 제안하는 기법은 다수의 분할점과 그에 상응하는 k개의 최근접 객체 집합들을 결과로 추출하며, POI들 간에는 순서가 없다. 분석을 통해 제안한 기법에 기존기법에 비해 우수함을 보인다.
