This article is based on the findings of problems and limits in implementing integrated coastal management strategy in Shihwa Lake area to develop management framework, mechanisms and processes that insure the participation of various stakeholders in making decisions for sustainable development of reclaimed land. The project performance of the Shihwa Comprehensive Management Plan for Water Quality and Environment Restoration formulated in 2001 was evaluated and reviewed to give some valuable guidance for reducing the wide gap between integrated planning and implementation. Managing inter-sectoral conflicts among future land uses in Shihwa reclaimed area is one of the most important issues to make progress in integrated coastal management. There is a urgent need of developing scientific decision-supporting tools for evaluating the alternative scenarios as well as capacity building programs for local stakeholders.

This paper presents an Integrated Risk Management System (IRMS), which is designed to integrate longitudinal and lateral collision avoidance systems. Indices representing longitudinal and lateral collision risks are designed. From the designed indices, an integrated control strategy is designed. A collision avoidance algorithm is designed to assist the driver in avoiding collisions by using a vehicle-driver-controller integrated linear model. The performance of the proposed algorithm is investigated via computer simulations conducted using the vehicle dynamics software CARSIM and Matlab/Simulink.

Anchoring quantum dots (QDs) onto thermodynamically stable, large band gap oxide semiconductors is a very important strategy to enhance their quantum yields for solar energy conversion in both visible and near-IR regions. We describe a general procedure for anchoring a few chalcogenide QDs onto the titanium oxide layer. To anchor the colloidal QDs onto a mesoporous TiO2 layer, linker molecules containing both carboxylate and thiol functional groups were initially attached to TiO2 layers and subsequently used to capture dispersed QDs with the thiol group. Employing the procedure, we exploited cadmium selenide (CdSe) and cadmium telluride (CdTe) quantum dots (QDs) as inorganic sensitizers for a large band gap TiO2 layer of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Their attachment was confirmed by naked eyes, absorption spectra, and photovoltaic effects. A few QD-TiO2 systems thus obtained have been characterized for photoelectrochemical solar energy conversion.

In this study, the concepts of soil degradation, soil pollution and soil damage are defined, and the domestic and foreign administrative systems related to soil pollution and soil damage management are analyzed. In case of foreign countries, laws and regulations on the soil conservation and soil damage management were analyzed. In case of Korea, the present state of the legal system governing soil pollution and damage management was analyzed in each aspect. Through this study, suggestions for amendments of relevant laws were proposed by establishing policy direction for integrated management of soil pollution and soil damage. The results of this study will provide a basis for integrated management of soil pollution and damage, and it can be utilized in establishing integrated management strategy of long term soil conservation and sustaninable soil development at national level.

Purpose: This study examined the effects of an integrated activity program on the self-efficacy and depression of underprivileged elderly women living alone. Methods: The participants recruited were fifty underprivileged elderly women living alone in D city. Data were collected from September 1 to October 1, 2015. To test the effects of the integrated activity program, the participants were divided into two matched groups, an experimental group (N=25) and control group (N=25). The data were analyzed with a ${\chi}^2-test$, Fisher's exact probability test, and t-test using the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Results: After attending the integrated activity program, significant differences between the experimental group and control group were found for self-efficacy (t=9.19, p<.001) and depression (t=-18.31, p<.001). Conclusion: The results indicate that the integrated activity program enhances self-efficacy and reduces depression in underprivileged elderly women living alone. Therefore, this program is a good strategy that community mental health nurses can use to improve the mental health of underprivileged elderly women living alone.

Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the roles and human resources of service design. Background: The definition of service design is not clear yet, also did not define in this study. I studied the components of service design which are roles and human resources. That is helpful to understand the definition of service design and to clarify the works in service design. Method: I compare the service design with user experience design. I empirically define the roles and human resources of service design. Results: The roles of service design are service strategy, research, service concept design, service specification, service architecture design, integrated communication design, integrated system design, integrated operation design, service evaluation, launch, operation, and knowledge management. Conclusion: We defined who works and what works in service design. Application: The results of this study help the clarification of service design.

This paper propose an advanced control strategy to improve vehicle handling and directional stability by integrating Active Front Steering(AFS) with Electronic Stability Program(ESP) . The effect of the integrated control system on the vehicle handling characteristics and directional stability is studied through a close loop computer simulation of and eight degree of freedom nonlinear vehicle model and driver model. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control system and the overall improvements in vehicle handling and directional stability

The Eco-2 Project presents a win-win strategy for the environment and for the economy (ECO-2 is an abbreviation of Ecology and Economy), The project was initiated by the Korean Ministry of the Environment to promote the development of an environmental industry technology as a means of driving national development in this sector. Our project work belongs to the category of integrated environment management technology, and is described as a development and utilization of risk assessment and analysis system for integrated environmental management in municipal and industrial areas. The goal of our project is to develop available system software in health and ecological risk assessment and to offer it as Decision Support System (DSS) to aid the effective management of environmental risk in municipal and industrial areas in Korea.

The application of computers and information technologies progressed with remarkable pace has paved the way for technological innovation toward the efficient integration of various functions in a manufacturing system. Actually it is observed that the greater part of manufacturing companies already initiated significant efforts to integrate information systems and attained the level of integration to some extent. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the strategic direction that manufacturing firms are pursuing through integrating information systems. Using the extensive data gathered from Japanese manufacturers, it is attempted to find the differences in competitive priorities and action programmes between the companies with high and low-level system integration. Our empirical data reveals that the manufacturers with highly integrated system are focusing their competitive capabilities on the rapid design change and new product introduction, and accordingly they place a greater emphasis on the action programmes related to design, process and quality improvement. As a conclusion, highly integrated firms tend to pursue new product development strategy more intensively, thereby they want to be a preemptor in the new market through exploiting technological advantages of integrated manufacturing system.

CALS, being widely adopted by industry, is a strategy to share integrated digital product data through a set of standards to achieve effieciencies and competition in business. For CALS implemetation, creating a shared information system is necessary and CITIS is proposed for that. CITIS shall provide on-line access and automated exchange of all the technical information between contractor and service provider, and the function of CITIS is difined in MIL-STD-974. In this paper, regarding CITIS as a infrastructure of information for CALS, we proposed CITIS server system which comprise global data sharing software, global data management system, workflow manager, and configuration management maneger.
