버추얼 클래스룸을 활용한 소프트웨어교육 온라인 대면 교수 설계 모형 (Online face-to-face instructional design model for Software Education using Virtual Classroom)

  • 현재, 교육은 대면수업과 온라인의 특징을 활용한 온·오프라인 통합 모델인 블렌디드러닝을 이용하는 교수 설계를 통해 진행되고 있다. 코로나 19 이후 교육의 패러다임이 대면 수업에서 비대면 수업으로 변화되면서 교육 현장에서는 변화에 대응하는 교수 방법이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 온라인을 활용한 교수 설계모형으로, 비실시간으로 온라인 수업을 진행한 후, 실시간으로 버추얼 클래스룸을 활용하여 온라인 대면 수업을 진행하는 교수 설계 모형을 제안하였다. 그리고 제안한 버추얼 클래스룸을 활용한 온라인 대면 교수 설계 모형을 소프트웨어교육에 적용할 수 있는 교수 전략을 제시하였다. 제안한 교수 설계 모형은 대면 교육 특징을 온라인에서 수용할 수 있는 교수 설계로 교육의 패러다임 변화에 대비할 수 있을 것이다.

물질의 분자 수준을 시각적으로 강조하는 4단계 문제 해결식 수업이 학생의 개념과 문제 해결 능력에 미치는 효과 (The Instructional Effect of a Four-stage Problem Solving Approach Visually Emphasizing the Molecular Level of Matter upon Students' Conceptions and Problem Solving Ability)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the instructional effect of a four-stage problem solving approach visually emphasizing the molecular level of matter upon students' conceptions and problem solving ability. On the basis of the research results regarding molecular representation in learning chemistry, problem-solving instruction, and the effect of visual materials, the instructional strategy was developed while considering Korean educational situations. The treatment and control groups (2 classes) were selected from a girls' high school in Seoul and taught about stoichiometry, gas, liquid, solid, and solution for 13 weeks. For the treatment group, 52 charts were supplied in order to emphasize the molecular level of matter and/or 4 stage problem solving strategy-understanding, planning, solving, and reviewing. For the control group, traditional instruction was used. Before the instructions, the Group Assessment of Logical Thinking and the Spatial Ability Test were administered, and their scores were used as covariate and blocking variable, respectively. After the instructions, students' conceptions and problem solving ability were measured by the Chemistry Conceptions Test (CCT) and the Chemistry Problem Solving Ability Test (CPSAT), respectively. The results indicated that the CCT scores of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group. The students in the treatment group also exhibited less misconceptions than those in the control group. However, there was not significant difference for the CPSAT scores. No interaction with students' spatial ability was found for both students' conceptions and problem solving ability. Educational implications are discussed.

  • 통합교과적-다중교수전략적 과학 교육 프로그램(Interdisciplinary -Multistrategic Science Education Program; IMSEP)이 과학영재들을 위한 효과적인 과학 교육 프로그램으로 고안, 개발되었다. 이 프로그램의 실제 예시로서 여러 가지 과학 교수 방법을 사용하여 수학, 물리, 화학, 천문학, 생물학을 통합한 예가 개발되었다. 이 프로그램에서는 과학적 지식의 복합성 또는 통합 교과성(complexity 또는 interdisciplinarity)이 커질수록 그것을 학습하는 과정에서 얻게 되는 학생들의 과학적 기술(scientific skill)도 깊어지도록 과학적 내용과 교수전략을 상호 연관시켰다. 이렇게 과학적 내용과 교수전략이 세심하게 균형을 이룬 IMSEP을 통해 과학 영재들의 과학적 지식과 기술은 균형 있게 발전할 것이며 따라서 과학 교육의 효과가 극대화 될 것이다.

과학의 윤리적 특성 교수-학습 방법 (Ethical Teaching/Learning Methods of Science)

  • 과학이 윤리적 특성을 지니고 있다는 말은 과학의 본성을 제대로 이해시키기 위해서는 각급 학교에서 과학의 윤리적 특성도 교수해야 함을 뜻한다. 외국에는 생명공학과 관련된 윤리적 문제를 다룰 것을 강조 한 교사용의 생명공학 지도서와 과학의 윤리적 측면에 관한 교수-학습의 원리와 방법을 제시한 교재가 있다. 현재 우리나라에서도 과학의 윤리적 특성에 관한 교육의 필요성이 제기되고 있으며, 그 교수-학습의 원리 방법 자료 등도 연구 개발되어 있다. 그러나 과학교육 현장에서는 과학의 윤리적인 특성에 관한 교수-학습이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이는 그 교수-학습 방법과 자료를 현장에 적용할 방안이 미흡하기 때문이기도 하다. 이 연구는 특별히 연구자들이 3년간 수행한 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 과학의 윤리적 특성 교수-학습 방법과 자료를 현장에 투입할 방안을 제시할 목적으로 수행하였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the modular multimedia instructional materials emphasizing the particulate nature on the realm of matter in elementary science classes. Features of the material are as follows: 1 To be in focus on particulate model named 'phenomenal magnifying glasses' in order to change the student's belief system of continuous matter into the belief system of particulate matter . The 'phenomenal magnifying glasses' is a new instructional strategy designed to change into the view of particulate matter through facilitating the reflective thinking resulted from the simultaneous consideration of experimental phenomena(macroscopic world) and particulate model(microscopic world). 2. To introduce modular system into the instructional materials, which was consisted of 14 subunits according to the sequential instruction unit of 'molecule and molecular motion'. Each subunit was composed of 5 types of modules(module 1: motivation, module 2: experimental result, module 3: discussion, module 4: phenomenal magnifying glasses, module 5: related experiment) 3. The multimedia program was composed of 36 kinds of experimental animation and 59 kinds of computer animation materials combined with text resources, photographic materials and sounds.

사고력 신장을 위한 웹 기반 수업방식의 학습자 만족도 분석 (Analysis of Learners' Satisfaction in Web-based Instructional Development for Expanding Thinking Power)

  • 본 연구는 학습자의 창조적인 사고력 신장을 위한 하나의 시도로서, 교과교육에서 구성주의에 기초한 웹 기반 교수과정이 어떻게 접목될 수 있는지를 탐색하는 가운데, 학습자의 사고력이 신장될 수 있도록 돕는 웹 기반 수업방식에 대한 학습자의 만족도를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 학습자들은 전통적인 수업 방식에 비해 웹 활용 수업 방식에 대한 흥미도와 만족도가 매우 높아 교과에 대한 흥미를 진작시킬 수 있었으며 웹을 통한 학습자의 다양한 상호작용 및 협동학습을 통해 질 높은 교육의 결과를 기대할 수 있다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 실험과 함께 실시한 웹 기반 수업방식에 대한 설문 조사에서 학습자의 만족도에는 놀이와 유용성만이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 용이성은 만족도에 별 다른 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 유용성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 요인은 용이성뿐이며, 용이성은 다시 효능과 지원, 그리고 태도에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

문제해결과 관련된 제7차 초등학교 수학과 교육과정 및 교과용 도서 분석 (An Analysis on Contents Related to Problem Solving in the 7th Elementary Mathematics Curriculum and Instructional Materials)

  • 본 논문은 수학과 교육과정에서 최근 지속적으로 강조되어 온 문제해결과 관련하여 제7차 초등학교 교육과정에서 제시하고 있는 내용을 살펴보고, 이와 관련하여 현재 개정 시안에서 논의되고 있는 내용을 분석하였다. 또한 수학 교과서와 익힘책에서 교육과정의 기본적인 취지를 어떻게 구현하고 관련 세부 내용을 어떻게 구체화하고 있는지 알아보기 위해, 문제해결전략, 문제영역, 문제유형별로 문제해결 관련 내용을 상세하게 분석하였다. 이를 토대로 문제해결과 관련하여 차기 교육과정 및 교과용 도서 개발에 기초적인 자료 및 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

  • The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic made it necessary for medical schools to restructure their curriculum by switching from face-to-face instruction to various forms of flexible learning. Flexible learning is a student-centered approach to learning that has received interest in many educational sectors. It is a critical strategy for expanding access to higher education during the pandemic. As flexible learning includes online, blended, hybrid, and hyflex learning options, learners have the opportunity to select an instruction modality based on their needs and interests. The shift to flexible learning in medical education took place rapidly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and learners, instructors, and schools were not prepared for this instructional change. Through the lens of the technology acceptance model, human agency, and a social constructivist perspective, I examine students, instructors, and educational institutions' roles in successfully navigating the digital transformation era. The pandemic has also accelerated the use of advanced information and communication technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, in learning. Through a review of the literature, this paper aimed to reflect on current flexible learning practices from the instructional design and educational technology perspective and explore emerging technologies that may be implemented in future medical education.

Development of Sound Design Strategies for Promoting Self-regulated Learning Behaviors in Mobile Learning Environments

  • Students mostly precede their learning without any direct support of instructor in e-learning and mobile educational environment. Many useful strategies and tools to facilitate self-regulated learning behaviors in e-learning environment have been introduced, yet, the limit has been reached by only suggesting self-regulated strategies with visual information in the most researches. Accordingly, this research is intent to propose the sound design strategies that facilitate learner's self-regulated learning behaviors in mobile learning environment. To achieve the objective of the research, two research questions are presented. First, what are the sound design strategies that facilitate the self -regulated learning behaviors in mobile learning environment?. Second, what are the results of evaluating the developed sound design strategies in terms of facilitating self-regulated learning behaviors?. To solve these research questions, the literature reviews on characteristics of mobile learning, concepts and features of self-regulated learning and sound were done to establish the sound design strategies. Through formative research method targeting instructional designers, sound design strategies were modified and supplemented. The research to validate these was performed and to verify the effect of the derived sound design strategies, the usability test aimed at instructional designer and learners was conducted. The final sound design strategies through this research process were six general design strategies and the sixteen detailed strategies. This research is meaningful because this offers the basic research on sound information design which has been lacking and help upgrade the upper limit of instructional design which mainly focused on visual information in mobile learning environment that shows information in a small screen.

자기 환경화를 통한 환경교육 전략의 효과 (The Effect of the Environmental Education Strategy through Personalization of Environment)

  • This study was conducted to develop and effective strategy for environmental education. At first, the environmental education strategy through personalization of environment was proposed. Then students in a middle school participated the program according to the strategy and its. effect was investigated. The strategy was designed in basis of the role of the limbic system in brain and involved field-oriented experience such as viewing the non-personal environment as the personal environment. Gokneung stream was selected as the site to conduct this environmental education. Students investigated water quality by senses and biological method. The same content was taught for the classroom group and simple outdoor group selected for the comparison by traditional instructional method. The pre- and post-test by the instrument to test environmental attitude, qualitative questionnaire, cognitive test, the pre- and post-interview were conducted to investigate the effect the program. The achievement of the classroom group(personalization group). But the change of the attitude toward environment of personalization group between pre- and post-test was significantly higher than the classroom group. In qualitative questionnaire and pre- and post-interviews, attitude toward environment differed between two group. The behavioral change to discover and to solve environmental problems was demonstrated in case the personalization group, but was unclear in the classroom group. These results indicated the environmental education strategy through personalization of environment was an effective strategy to change the awareness, attitude and behavior toward the environment compared with a traditional teaching strategy.
