물류시설의 환경영향 및 친환경적 개발 방안 (Environmental Impact and Eco-Friendly Development of Logistics Facilities)

  • 최근 전자상거래의 활성화와 더불어 코로나19 팬데믹으로 인한 생활물류 서비스 수요가 증가함에 따라 소규모 물류시설의 개발이 급증하고 있다. 물류시설은 거대 배후도시를 가지며 교통이 편리한 경기도 내 특정 지역들을 중심으로 밀집되어 급속하게 증가하는 양상을 보이고 있다. 본 연구는 경기도의 안성시와 여주시, 이천시의 3개 지자체에서 개발된 총 259개의 물류시설을 조사하여 개발규모와 개발방식, 용적률, 용도지역 등의 개발 특성을 분석하였다. 특정지역에 밀집되어 개발되는 물류시설은 비도시지역에서 난개발 형태로 이루어지고 있으며, 국토환경의 훼손과 사회적 갈등을 야기하고 있다. 본 연구는 물류시설 개발로 야기되는 난개발과 환경영향, 주민과의 갈등 등의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 제도적 개선방안과 친환경적 개발을 위한 평가 가이드라인을 제안하였다.

건축공사 감리업무의 디지털 전환을 위한 법·제도 개선안 연구 (A Study on Legal and Institutional Improvements for the Digital Transformation of Construction Supervision)

  • 본 연구에서는 건축공사의 품질과 안전을 확보하기 위한 감리업무의 디지털 전환을 위하여 건축공사 감리업무에 관한 법·제도 내용을 검토하고 전문가 집단의 설문조사를 함께 실시하여 개선방안을 분석, 제안하였다. 공사감리의 품질을 확보하고 안전하며 효율적으로 하기 위해서는 공사감리의 디지털 전환이 필요하며, 공사감리 관련 용어를 일관성있고 명확하게 개선할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 안전성 확보를 위한 구조감리 체크리스트의 신설, 감리 전문법인의 신설과 적격심사, 감리업무의 디지털 전환기술에 대한 가점이 포함된 선정 평가기준을 도입하는 등의 개선방향을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 건축공사 감리업무의 디지털 전환을 위한 제도의 기초적인 자료로서 기반을 마련하고자 한다.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to assess the feasibility of conducting a study on traditional Korean medicine treatments for periodontal diseases, specifically gingivitis and mild periodontitis. Methods : This study will employ a randomized, controlled, parallel-group design. Subjects with gingivitis and mild periodontitis will be recruited in one university hospital. In total, 45 subjects will be randomized into three arms (Acupuncture therapy group, herbal mouthwash group and usual care group), and will be followed up for 4 weeks. We will assess clinical variables such as, pocket depth, bleeding on probing, gingival index, plaque index, visual analog scale, uroqol-5 dimensions-5 levels to analyze changes in microbial flora before and after the intervention. Results : The protocol for this study was approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Dongguk University Ilsan Oriental Medicine Hospital, and registered with the Korean Clinical Trial Registry on March 29, 2024. Conclusions : This study is the first clinical research on periodontal diseases conducted in a Korean traditional medicine institution. The research aims to broaden the scope of traditional Korean medicine and is expected to serve as crucial data for future large-scale studies.

  • 최근 한국에서는 기상이변 및 노후화, 지진발생 등에 따른 댐 손상 및 붕괴 사례가 증가하고 있으며, 이와관련된 댐안전 문제는 국가차원의 재난관리 측면에서 중요하게 다루어지고 있다. 지속적인 댐의 안전성 확보를 위해 정부차원의 다각적 관련 법제도 마련뿐 아니라, 각 댐 관리기관들에서도 댐의 안전관리를 위한 다양한 제도적, 기술적 대책을 수립하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 댐 안전관리 업무의 모순점을 개선하고, 지속적이며 효율적인 댐 안전관리 업무수행을 위해 댐안전관리시스템(KDSMS)을 개발하였다. 댐안전관리시스템은 제원정보시스템 및 수문정보시스템, 현장점검시스템, 지진감시 등을 포함한 매설계기계측시스템, 조사진단시스템, 총괄 정보자료시스템 등으로구성되어 있다. 댐안전관리시스템은 현장 및 본사의 안전관리관련의 세부 정보뿐 아니라, 현장 기술자 및 본사, 연구소 등 관련자들의 안전관리 업무내용 및 상호연계를 총괄하고 있는 전사적 시스템으로 개발되었다.

  • 본 연구는 노후 공공건축물에 모빌리티 기술을 접목하여 국민들의 이동 편의와 공공서비스 증진을 위한 방향으로 리뉴얼하는 모델을 개발하고, 실현 방향을 제고하기 위한 지원 방안 제안을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구의 주요 내용과 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모빌리티 기술을 접목한 공공건축물 리뉴얼에 필요한 기술적 고려 사항 및 평가 기준으로 리뉴얼 대상지를 선정하고, 선정된 대상지의 규모, 면적, 지구단위계획을 기반으로 필요한 모빌리티 기술을 분석하여 건축을 계획하였다. 둘째, 건축계획을 기반으로 예상 비용을 산정하고 모빌리티 기술을 반영할 때 필요한 재정적 지원 방안을 검토하였다. 셋째, 모빌리티 기술을 접목한 공공건축물 리뉴얼 개발에 필요한 건축기준 완화 방안을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 설계 기준 및 경험 부재로 인해 세부적인 공사비를 반영하지 못하였으며, 구체적인 운영 방식 및 실행된 사례가 없어서 구체적인 문제 파악이 어려운 점에 있어 한계가 있었다.

경관영향 요소별 경관 대비성 평가 - 자연경관에 도입되는 건축물을 중심으로 - (Evaluating the Visual Contrast Rating of the Landscape Impact Factors - A case study for the Buildings in Natural Landscape -)

  • While cities became bigger and bigger since 1990s, many indiscretely high buildings started to be built in the mountain areas inside a city and in the rural areas in the suburb of each city. To regulate such indiscrete developments, the government prepared for some relevant legal and institutional criteria by having enacted the "Landscape Act" and established a strong management means in the legal and institutional aspects by having introduced the natural landscape deliberation system and the landscape deliberation one into the "Natural Environment Conservation Act." However, since some uniform levels of absolute height and no. of stories are suggested legally and institutionally, it is hard to consider the effects of a real building structure onto the relevant landscape. Accordingly, this thesis is intended to grasp the contrast of the landscape elements in the allowable height section, which is presented through landscape sensitivity. As the results from the visual contrast rating on a small apartment complex located in Dangjin and a large scale of apartment complex in Seosan as the apartment complexes surrounded with natural landscapes that were selected as the subjects of this study, the following conclusion can be finalized. First, there were deducted some factors, that is, forms, lines, colors, textures and sizes as the ones with which can measure and evaluate the contrasting properties when a structure gets into a natural landscape. Second, in case of a small scale of apartment complex (in the foreground) compared to a large one (in the foreground), it was found that the contrasting properties were bigger. In addition, it was also found that the contrasting property of the landscape factor of the foreground compared to that of the middle one becomes bigger depending on a distance. Third, as the results from an evaluation on the contrasting properties of the landscape factor depending on the changes of each floor of a structure, it was found that the factors, that is, forms, lines, colors, textures and sizes are very significant. Among those factors, the factors, forms and lines in a small scale of apartment complex (in the foreground) showed each log regression. But in all of the other cases, they showed each line regression. Fourth, as the results from examining the regression coefficients of the landscape factor, the coefficients of the shapes and lines have similar coefficients and the colors and the textures have similar ones, too. In case of the sizes of apartment complexes, the colors and the textures of a large apartment complex (in the foreground) have similar coefficients, in case of that in the middle ground, the shapes and lines have similar coefficients. Fifth, as the results from estimating the contrasting properties of the landscape factor on the floors within the allowed scope of the landscape sensitivity, it was found that the contrasting property was 3.5 to 4.9 in case of a small scale of apartment complex (in the foreground), but 2.5to 3.7 in case of a small scale of one. In case of a large scale of apartment complex, the value was 3.5 to 5.3, but in case of a large one in the middle ground was 2.9 to 4.9. Sixth, it was comprehended that the contrasting properties of the landscape factor become different depending on each size of apartment complex and the distance of a view point. In this study, it is intended to find the meaning from the aspect that the results can be used as the baseline data for comprehending a proper range of heights of structures objectively during a natural landscape deliberation or a landscape deliberation.

Evaluation of response to stereotactic radiosurgery in patients with radioresistant brain metastases

  • Purpose: Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and melanoma have been considered 'radioresistant' due to the fact that they do not respond to conventionally fractionated radiation therapy. Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) provides high-dose radiation to a defined target volume and a limited number of studies have suggested the potential effectiveness of SRS in radioresistant histologies. We sought to determine the effectiveness of SRS for the treatment of patients with radioresistant brain metastases. Materials and Methods: We performed a retrospective review of our institutional database to identify patients with RCC or melanoma brain metastases treated with SRS. Treatment response were determined in accordance with the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors. Results: We identified 53 radioresistant brain metastases (28% RCC and 72% melanoma) treated in 18 patients. The mean target volume and coverage was 6.2 ± 9.5 mL and 95.5% ± 2.9%, respectively. The mean prescription dose was 20 ± 4.9 Gy. Forty lesions (75%) demonstrated a complete/partial response and 13 lesions (24%) with progressive/stable disease. Smaller target volume (p < 0.001), larger SRS dose (p < 0.001), and coverage (p = 0.008) were found to be positive predictors of complete response to SRS. Conclusion: SRS is an effective management option with up to 75% response rate for radioresistant brain metastases. Tumor volume and radiation dose are predictors of response and can be used to guide the decision-making for patients with radioresistant brain metastases.

Ergonomic Assessment for Manual Materials Handling of Livestock Feed by Elderly Farmers in Korea

  • Objective: The purpose of the study is to evaluate appropriate weight for aged farmers in manually handling livestock feed in bags using ergonomic methods. Background: In the livestock industry in South Korea, despite the trend of aging of labor manpower, heavy items are still manually handled in many farms. In particular, among stockbreeding works, the handling of feed in bags weighing 25~30kg is reported as a cause of frequent injuries and musculoskeletal system diseases. However, studies on the standard for recommended weight allowed considering the physical characteristics of aged farmers older than 60 years with greatly decreased physical strength and muscle strength are insufficient. Method: To evaluate appropriate weight for handling of heavy livestock feed in bags, physical techniques for measuring recognized levels of physical work loads, the NLE (NIOSH lifting equation) a method that is an observation type technique, and an ergonomic modeling technique to predict compressive force imposed on L5/S1 were used. Subjects who participated in the experiment were organized into two groups of males/females with mean age exceeding 60 years, and lifting tasks were evaluated for nine weight levels. Results: Based on the results of psychophysical measurement, females showed a tendency of more drastic increases compared to males when weight was over 19kg. The results of estimation of regression models for the weight, 18.0 kg ($r^2=0.97$) and 15.3kg ($r^2=0.97$) were evaluated as stable load for males and females, respectively. In addition, both the observation type evaluation and ergonomic model evaluation showed stable loads in a range of 15~18kg. Conclusion: Given the results of the study, the weight of the feed in bags currently distributed to farms can become a cause of not only overexertion but also farm work related disasters such as musculoskeletal disorders and safety accidents. Providing livestock feed in bags weighing not more than 19kg for aged farmers is judged desirable, and managerial improvement for this matter is considered necessary. Application: The results of the present study can be utilized as useful data for institutional improvement of the weight of livestock feed in bags.

Identification of Patients with Microscopic Hematuria who are at Greater Risk for the Presence of Bladder Tumors Using a Dedicated Questionnaire and Point of Care Urine Test - A Study by the Members of Association of Urooncology, Turkey

  • In patients with microscopic hematuria there is a need for better identification of those who are at greater risk of harbouring bladder tumors. The RisikoCheck(C) questionnaire has a strong correlation with the presence of urothelial carcinoma (UC) of the bladder and in combination with other available tests may help identify patients who require detailed clinical investigations due to increased risk of presence of bladder tumors. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of RisikoCheck(C) questionnaire together with NMP-22(R) (BladderChek(R)) as a point-of-care urine test in predicting the presence of bladder tumors in patients presenting with microscopic hematuria as the sole finding. In this multi-institutional prospective evaluation of 303 consecutive patients without a history of urothelial carcinoma (UC), RisikoCheck(C) risk group assessment, urinary tract imaging and cystourethroscopy as well as urine cytology and Nuclear Matrix Protein-22 (NMP-22 BladderChek) testing were performed where available. The sensitivity, specificity, negative predictive value (NPV), and positive predictive values (PPV) for the risk adapted approach were calculated. All patients underwent cystoscopy, and tumors were detected in 18 (5.9%). Urine cytology and NMP-22 was positive for malignancy in 9 (3.2%) and 12 (7.5%) of patients, respectively. A total of 43 (14%) patients were in the high risk group according to the RisikoCheck(C) questionnaire. The sensitivity and specificity of the questionnaire in detecting a bladder tumor was 61.5 % and 84.0 % in the high risk group. In patients with either a positive NMP-22 test or high risk category RisikoCheck(C), 23.6% had bladder tumors with a corresponding sensitivity of 54.2% and specificity of 88.6%. If both tests were negative only 3.3% of the patients had bladder tumors. The results of our study suggest that the efficacy of diagnostic evaluation of patients with microscopic hematuria may be further enhanced by combining RisikoCheck(C) questionnaire with NMP-22.

국가연구개발 성과관리 법제 운영에 관한 소고 (A Study on the Regulations of National R&D Performance Management System)

  • 국가연구개발사업의 성과관리정책을 효율적으로 추진하기 위해서는 정책추진의 제도적 기반이 되는 관련 법령의 체계적인 정비와 함께, 정책의 효과적인 시행을 위한 실제적인 운영체계가 적절히 수립되고 집행되어야 한다. 본 논문은 그동안 국가연구개발 성과관리제도에 대한 법제적 측면에서의 분석과 검토가 미흡하다는 점에 착안하여, 국가연구개발 성과관리법제의 발전과정을 살펴보고, 현행 법령이 가지고 있는 미비점을 검토하여 그 개선방안을 제시함을 목표로 하고 있다. 현행 국가연구개발 성과관리제도는 국가과학기술정책의 기본방향을 규정한 "과학기술기본법"과 국가연구개발사업의 성과관리에 관한 세부적인 정책추진의 기본원칙과 방법을 규정한 "국가연구개발사업 등의 성과평가 및 성과관리에 관한 법률"에 따라 운영되고 있으나, 구체적인 사항은 "국가연구개발사업의 관리 등에 관한 규정"에 의하여 규율되는 법체계로 운영되고 있다. 그런데 현행 국가연구개발 성과관리제도는 그 제도운영법령, 성과관리 대상과 범위, 성과관리의 방법 및 내용에 있어서 발전적 개선이 필요한 것으로 평가된다. 즉, 관련 법령간의 정합성을 제고하고, 성과관리의 대상과 범위를 국가연구개발사업의 성과 전반으로 확대하며, 국가연구개발사업의 목표와 방향을 고려한 합리적인 성과관리가 될 수 있도록 그 내용과 방법을 개선하는 것이 필요하다.
