As the recent demand for human resources in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), the development of professional STEM teacher is called worldwide. It is becoming a critical need in teacher education in order to educate student teachers, and prepare pre-service and beginning teachers for high quality of teaching competency. To promote the competency for $21^{st}$ century STEM teachers, the epistemology of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) is currently considered as the essential qualities of knowledge for highly qualified teachers. The aim of this study is explore the effect of case-based learning approach on TPACK competency of pre-service STEM teachers. In order to develop the pre-service teachers' competency regarding effective integration of technologies into teaching specific content areas, a series of innovative case study teaching in science and mathematics was presented to 43 participants of pre-service physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, and computer teachers during a course of information and communication technology (ICT) in Education at Khon Kaen University, Thailand. After finishing a case presentation, the pre-service teachers were encouraged into a forum of critical open discussion by considering the potential impact of the case and the TPACK framework. They were investigated instructional design competency of using ICT tools into student learning process and their personal beliefs about ICT in educational process both before and after. The participant's reactions and learning was evaluated by using a self-reported questionnaire and an implementation log of content-specific learning process design, respectively. Results showed a change of their beliefs and the transformation of their TPACK competency in STEM teaching. In an effort to better serve the needs of high quality STEM teachers, the results of this study illustrated that the competency of TPACK could be particularly considered as a core attributes for future STEM teachers. By the way, case-based learning approach can play an effective part in preparing and professing the TPACK competency for STEM teachers.
Egg production in Korea was 393 thousand M/T in 1990. More than 10 thousand M/T egg was imported and the amount imported has increased every year. Despite consumption tendency of increasing processed food, creation of additional demand is not likely because domestic egg consumption mainly depends upon table eggs. Processed eggs for marketing in Korea could be classified into two kinds. One is primary processed eggs including liquid eggs and egg powders. The other is secondary processed eggs which are further processed such as egg flake and egg curd. In addition to the above egg products, specific nutrient fortified eggs are produced through the modified feed formula and breeding techniques. The technologies developed so far including Korean patents are introduced. Convenient foods using egg and nutrient controlled eggs will be popular in the near future. For example, low cholesterol egg and polyunsaturated fatty acid fortified egg will be produced to meet the consumer demand. However, facing problems such as introducing egg quality grading systems and extending the short shelf-life of washed eggs should be solved as well.

Presently, there is the dilemma of uncertainty with respect to the evaluation of sound and vibration based on the fact that there is obviously no agreement upon appropriate methods to measure the "truth" concerning the acceptance of sound and vibration. To evaluate properly physical and perception data in sound and vibration it is necessary to implement new methods and innovative approaches to understand the input of human response in sound design. Fortunately, an elaborate dialogue of the usefulness and applicability of those approaches is in progress. Moreover, the need of using and combining perception and physical data in order to comprehend the process of human perception and evaluation sufficiently is widely accepted. However, still the question remains how the goal of an adequate combination can be achieved. Clearly, themultidimensional human perception cannot be easily reduced to singular numbers. Moreover, factors, among others the meaning of the sound, the composition of the diverse sound sources, the listener's attitude, expectations and experiences, are significant parameters which have to be considered to comprehend the different perceptions and evaluations with regard to specific stimuli. Taking under consideration the physical, psychological, and cognitive dimensions as well as the integration of aspects of design require partially various new approaches. While binaural measurement and analysis technologies and psycho-acoustics are well established as they are proved to be valuable auxiliary tools; it has not been achieved to develop generally acceptable measurement units concerning sound quality. Consequently, there is a need for new approaches and methods which make it possible to comprehend sufficiently the process of perception and evaluation. Going with people's mind will be one solution for the future; thisconcept will be introduced based on the development in sound design.

Dimethyl ether (DME) is a new clean fuel as an environmentally-being energy resources. DME has similar characteristics to those of LPG and can be substituted Diesel fuel. KOGAS has investigated and developed new innovative DME synthesis process from synthesis gas with KOGAS's own technologies. KOGAS had finished the construction of 10ton/day DME demonstration plant in 2008, we have established the basic design of commercial plant which can produce 3,000ton/day DME. Specifically, an economic model for a commercial DME project will be presented. It accounts for all the major cost factors that are considered in a commercial scale project as the model input for performing cash flow analysis, after which key economic indicators are produced including the internal rate of return (IRR), net present value (NPV). Sensitivity analysis is performed to identify dominant cost factors to the project economics and quantify their impact. The inputs to the economic analysis will be based on representative cost factors from the commercial-scale design of KOGAS' direct DME process supplemented by literature data. Case study results will be presented based on recent commercialization projects.
Regardless of advances in treatment modalities with the invention of newer therapies, breast cancer remains a major health problem with respect to its diagnosis, treatment and management. This female malignancy with its tremendous heterogeneous nature is linked to high incidence and mortality rates, especially in developing region of the world. It is the malignancy composed of distinct biological subtypes with diverse clinical, pathological, molecular and genetic features as well as different therapeutic responsiveness and outcomes. This inconsistency can be partially overcome by finding novel molecular markers with biological significance. In recent years, newer technologies help us to indentify distinct biomarkers and increase our understanding of the molecular basis of breast cancer. However, certain issues need to be resolved that limit the application of gene expression profiling to current clinical practice. Despite the complex nature of gene expression patterns of cDNAs in microarrays, there are some innovative regulatory molecules and functional pathways that allow us to predict breast cancer behavior in the clinic and provide new targets for breast cancer treatment. This review describes the landscape of different molecular markers with particular spotlight on vitamin D signaling pathway and apoptotic specific protein of p53 (ASPP) family members in breast cancer.

In activated sludge process, sludge settling condition is affected by organic loading rate or operation condition, and if settling condition is getting worse, it is common that overall process fails due to wash-out of biomass causing low concentration in the aeration tank. Also activated sludge process has such several problems as requiring large area, consuming a lot of power and producing large volume of sludge. Increased public concern over health and the environment combined with a strong desire to reduce capital, operating and maintenance costs, have created a need for innovative technologies for building new high quality effluents which vail meet 21st century crkeria. MBR(Membrane Bioreactor) process consists of a biological reactor and ultrafiltration(UF) membrane system that replaces the conventional clarifier of an activated sludge process. The main operating advantages of this system are that the quality of the effluent is independent of the settleability of the mixed liquor and that the effluent is free of suspended solids in any operating condition. It is possible to eliminate clarifier and to reduce the volume of aeration tank because it can afford to accumulate high biomass concentration in the bioreactor(20, 000~30, 000mg/L), which would not be possible in a conventional activated sludge process. Therefore, this process reduces overall treatment plant area. In addition to those advantages, Longer SRT condition enables higher sludge digestion in MBR process so the sludge volume produced is 50 to 70% lower than that of conventional activated sludge process There are two kinds of MBR process according to the allocations of membrane. One is cross flow type MBR of which module is located outside of the bioreactor and mixed liquor is driven into the membrane module. The other is submerged type MBR process of which module is submerged in the bioreactor and mixed liquor is generally sucked from the lumen side. addition to that the cake layer is often removed by the uplifting flow of bubbling air. A submerged MBR process is superior to a crossflow MBR in regard to the power consumption because suction pressure of a submerged MBR is generally lower than that of a crossflow MBR which has recirculation pump. A submerged MBR, therefore, has the potential to be applied to small wastewater treatment plants that need low cost treatment systems.
IT Service Management (ITSM) achieves consolidated management for the IT services supporting the acquisition system, and no outside connections can be established with such ITSM. Issues pertaining to the D2B can be addressed to System Q&A or a Call Center for problem-solving. In other words, internal staff can take the necessary measures for problems by directly connecting with ITSM. Currently, diverse innovative technologies are being used in electronics and ubiquitous computing environments. This allows us to create a better world by providing the backbone for remarkable development in our human society in the fields of electronics, devices, computer science, and engineering. Following the expansion of IT services in the military acquisition sector such as Defense Electronic Procurement, military export/import support system, etc., customers' dependence on IT for conducting business with the military or related companies is increasing, including the military's dependence on the same technology for services to the public. Nonetheless, issues pertaining to the simplified/integrated management of complex IT service management systems, including slow system recovery, lack of integrated customer service window, and insufficient information sharing, have become the priority problems that IT managers are required to solve. Therefore, this study conducted research on the integrated management of IT services provided by Korea's national defense acquisition system, which was developed based on the existing system IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v2, and investigated the level of satisfaction with services with focus on ensuring that it can be used for understanding the necessity of the system and its advancement in the future.
A number of previous studies have maintained that information technologies, due to their ability to overcome distance, can nurturing an innovative class of polycentric urban configurations, i.e., network cities. The present study intends to clarify whether any network relationship has recently been emerged among Korean cities by the advancement of information technology. The analyses focused on the geography of Korean national domains (.kr domains), and the hyperlink associations among three major types of domains, namely commercial, academic, and organizational domains. The study findings altogether indicate that the advancement of global economy and information era appears to be enhancing, rather than reducing the status of primate city. Seoul dominates the entire nation, forming an enclave in the production and consumption of information. Only the domains of educational institutes show network-like relations among local centers to a certain extent. The paper concludes with a discussion on the implications of the findings for future research and ‘spatial’ policy measures.

As the word 'creation and innovation' has been the keyword in success, there has been an increasing interest in TRIZ (Theory of inventive problem solving). So far, TRIZ has been applied to electronics and mechanics as the prime mover of product innovation. This study is to explore the applicability of TRIZ to the biotechnology sector, a future emerging technologies, especially to problem solving and innovative research and development. This study was focused on red ginseng processing. Problem causes and contradictions were identified with regard to processing-related problems, and 'the 40 principles of invention' were applied to problem solving. Steamed fresh ginseng is called 'Red ginseng'. Cracks in red ginseng cause the loss of active ingredients and also are not of merchantable quality. In the 40 principles of invention, applicable ones were finally selected through contradiction matrix and brainstorming, the tools of TRIZ. With experiments, effective methods were suggested to prevent red ginseng from cracking in a steaming process.
