This study has been conducted to present reform recommendations for Standardization of Construction Materials, based on a study on the Investigation of Demander's Consciousness for Construction Materials Quality and Information Standardization in Korea. Upon investigation, it was found that the quality of Korea Industrial Standards (KS) was given 67 points (out of 100) by respondents. In addition, 38% of the respondents showed that they had problems with a lack of Standardized Information. Good examples were found to be non-standardized materials, e.g. admixtures, waterproof agents, reinforcing fibers, concrete, aggregates, adhesives, wood, temporary materials, thermal-insulating materials, etc. Upon results from the investigation of demander's consciousness for infrastructure of standardization of information, 71.2% of respondents thought that it is necessary to informatize construction materials. They made following demands on the informatization to be, in order: Quality, Standard, Price (Cost), Operation, Drawing, Law, and Information.

Standardization to information attribute of construction material is continuous demanded through the life cycle of a construction project, and the productivity elevation is derived of contribution effect in construction market. This study surveyed the means of acquisition and attribute of information to a staff in purchase, which are effected on the revitalization of information circulation to the construction material Proposed the standardization to information attribute of construction material that is based on improvement and application to the information attribute. And information attribute is classified with construction process through analysis on test list of quality certification. This study also suggested representative attribute of quality information, for the elevation of safety and quality in construction industry. Therefore, logicality of common information is based by analysis of mathematical statistics, systemicity of quality information is applied by MasterFormat(2004)

Recently, telecommunications industry undergoes the rapid environment change such as the rapid technology development, shortening of product life cycle and so on. ITU-T as the representative international standardization organization reforms working methods for coping with the change of telecommunications environment and more efficient standardization. In this paper, we will examine the change of standardization working methods of ITU-T coping with the change of telecommunications environment and suggest a national policy to promote the efficient international standardization.

Under the situation of the world becoming a unified global economy, our country should make efforts to get standard patents as well as to take out essential patents in order to maintain the competitiveness against advanced country. In recent years, R&D related standardization is very important. Besides, R&D planning considering standardization becomes more important than ever before. Therefore, this treatise is designed to lay infrastructure on promoting international standardization through suggesting a effective standardization planning framework based on R&D planning and analyzing cases regarding R&D planning and standardization planning.

Standardization is essential strategic tool for a firm to preoccupy a market in the telecommunication industry. WTO TBT(Technical Barriers to Trade) makes importance of standardization greater in telecommunication industry. Therefore countries, not to speak of firms, recognize standards essential strategy to preoccupy markets. In this paper, we will analyze the patterns and study the case on standardization competition in the field of telecommunications.

Power system technologies in the area of smart grid are being converged with communication system technologies or information technologies(IT). This interdisciplinary action affects on two parts vigorously so that IT has become a essential part of power industry. But terminologies of two parts are confused and it is necessary that these are standardized to develop the industry. The writing system of the Open Korean Knowledge Dictionary for standardization of smart grid terminologies which are IEC TC 57 glossary and non-glossary is proposed. The writing system includes the process of collection, writing guideline and standardization of terminologies. Writing results of 90,000 terminologies for electricity, communication and computer fields including smart grid terminologies, which are registered in the Open Korean Knowledge Dictionary, are shown. The system provides the capability of collection and delivery of academic society opinions for the selected and interpreted terminologies through the internet for standardization and industry propagation of smart grid terminologies.

With the advent of smart age, the concern on smart work has gradually increased in the situation that creative innovation capability has become one of the important elements in business competitiveness. Most domestic small and medium-sized businesses have partly introduced smart work system due to the lack of its recognition and understanding about a specific method to implement. Under the environment, it is essential to make standardization strategy and do systematic implementation for core technology which leads global market in order to secure the dominant position in smart work related technologies. Therefore, this paper suggests standardization items which lead global standard and implementation direction on standardization through analysing the current situation introducing smart work in small and medium-sized business and technology/standardization trends.

The standardization system in Urban Transit is the system that verifies and develop the standard, a safety standard, a performance test standard and a Quality certification standard to improve the capability, the safety and operational efficiency and that develops technologies of the main installations. We have already developed a signal, electric power in Urban Transit. Also, we have already noticed the standardization of railroad tracks and developed the main installations through the first stage in the standardization in 1995${\sim}$2006. Still, there remains many fields to standardize, like information and communication facilities, facilities in the station, governmental organizations and maintenance facilities because, Urban Transit is so widespread. In case that we do not keep promoting the standardization in Urban Transit, rather it could hamper development of the Urban Transit. So, it is important to maintain and advance the standardization in Urban Transit. In this paper, we suggest the research course that we would promote, to maintain and develop the standardization in Urban Transit.

Data quality management is extremely important. In this study, we proposed data standardization for effective quality management of enterprise-owned data about distributed goods and validated its effectiveness by case study. For the standardization of data, we designed data category and data dictionary. Additionally, we categorized data and identified its attributes for data category design, and we developed design process for data dictionary and built the dictionary of word, term, domain and code for data dictionary design. And then we proposed output documents which have to be written for data standardization. Proposed data standardization approach is validated its efficiency by quantitative and qualitative measurement. and as a result the data quality of the data standardization improved 24% and the data quality of the consistency of the data dictionary improved 7%.
