The Working Methods of ITU-T coping with the change of telecommunications

정보통신 환경에 대응한 ITU-T의 표준화 작업방법

Recently, telecommunications industry undergoes the rapid environment change such as the rapid technology development, shortening of product life cycle and so on. ITU-T as the representative international standardization organization reforms working methods for coping with the change of telecommunications environment and more efficient standardization. In this paper, we will examine the change of standardization working methods of ITU-T coping with the change of telecommunications environment and suggest a national policy to promote the efficient international standardization.

최근 정보통신 산업은 급속한 기술의 발전과 제품생명주기의 단축 및 다양한 기술들간의 융합 등 급속한 환경의 변화를 겪고 있다. 정보통신 분야의 대표적 국제 표준화 기구인 ITU-T는 이러한 환경의 변화에 대응하여 기존의 관료적이고 비효율적인 부분을 제거하고 보다 효율적인 표준화 추진을 위하여 개혁작업을 추진하고 있다. 본 고에서는 정보통신 환경에 대응한 ITU-T의 표준화 작업방법의 변화를 살펴보고, 이를 통하여 보다 효율적 국제 표준화 추진을 위한 향후 표준화 정책 방향을 제시해 보고자 한다.
